  1. M00n, There is an article in Positive Feedback V5 #2 Late Fall 1994. It is called "Domestically Acceptable Room Treatments. It involves ¼" Luan, The wavey corrugated Vinyl Roofing panels, Fiberglass Ceiling panels (stripped), Egg Crate Light Diffusor Panel and Open Weave Cloth faberic. It is a 4 page article and I can scan it in if you want to read it.

Seriously guys, there are a zillion ways to build a layout. I'd say to each his own. This being said, the best reference I found to help translating a schematic into a layout is the Mullard Audio Circuit book or something like this... Anyway search "Mullard Audio Circuit" on any search engine and you should find it. It's pretty much a classic for the tube builder. ---------------- Is the book you refer to "Mullard: Tube Circuits for Audio Amplifiers"? ISBN 1-882580-03-6 Hofy- Back from the not quite dead.

  12. I got my KM6s New Years day this year. $400 off ebay. I have seen them go as high as $550. The KV2 is an almost exact match for the KMC. Only diff is the crossover level.(2100Hz for the KV2 and 1600Hz for the KMC) The KV3 is probably a better match for these speakers though. The KG 2.5V or KG 1.5V are also listed as the recommended center speaker.
  13. 3 years and still going. Both thius thread and my Pros.
  14. Congratulations. I always drooled over the Counterpoint stuff. Just so you know, Michael Elliott, former prez and designer, has a new company that fixes and upgrades the old stuff. Not that yours looks like it needs it. http://www.altavistaaudio.com/
  15. Yeah, these prices are Looney, like Daffy Duck! 272? Let me see. Ahh yes, here we are. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3008782791&category=3284

  18. prodj101 I can understand not liking a particular store that may carry Klipsch. Just do NOT shop there. In southern Wisconsin, American is the store that is the major Klipsch dealer. They lost me as a customer years ago. If I ever buy a new set of Klipsch speakers it will be through one of the independent dealers NOT American.
  19. UnHoly Sheep Dip! Craig/Kelly! Oil & Vinegar Light & Dark Conservative & Liberal Yet it all is cool with our tunes. Rock and Jazz on!
  20. We appreciate your daughters service to our country. May she have a safe tour of duty. God Bless.
  21. No, Thank YOU, Mike. Thanks for the information and the inspiration on my own hf12/14 rebuild. I am rethinking the the use of the old chassis. It would save money and I am pretty cheap. I could pull the preamp circuits and put on a blank face plate. Also some black paint like Kelly has done on his HF81. Hmmm.
  22. WOW! Thanks for that page, Kelly! I only decided to buy the tuner too as it was only $20 and I finally found a station that is somewhat worth listening too. (For my old hard rockin' anyway) I figure it might be the magic for the 3rd input on the 2 channel system.
  23. And the mystery buy is... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3280&item=3008093642&rd=1 Eico HF-12 & HTF-90 $65 for the amp and $20 for the tuner.
  24. I was watching the AF4 that ends today and seen these pop up. Couldnt pass up the buy it now. I'll have my Variac by tuesday so they can be powered up properly.
  25. Glad to hear you have those amps up to snuff now. I am still getting ready to do this to my HF12s. (Mine will be in a new chassis as well). Where did you manage to get the 4 x 10 caps? Let us know how they sound when you get a chance to crank 'em up.
