  1. Back home last night, not going back until Feb. Glad to be home, even if was fun. Got the HT room painted and trimmed, only floors left and room darkining curtains. Then it will be up to Chief Bonehead to set up the sound, hoping it will be a projector and screen depending on $.
  2. Leaving in the am for Hope, will be back next week.
  3. That sounds like fun, you should have gone.
  4. A moderator has to approve every first post, no one could see your post untill it was approved.
  5. Been sunny and in the low or mid 70's for highs and 40's and 50's for lows for the last week and they say next week also. Perfect
  6. Happy Birthday, have a good day and try to do something fun since your well into oldness.
  7. Your a bullshitter keeper and there's no doubt it . There fixed it .
  8. Not a good thing, at 73 you should not be up on the ladder that high anyway, or on the roof. No reason, there is nothing up there to get hurt over or kill yourself. Nothing up there is in that much of a rush to not wait on the errand boy, your old dude, don't end it all like that.
  9. Well thank you, I'm not complaning, and I would NOT want to get paid to do this I just joke about that, if we did get paid then I would have to actually do it, better anyway.

You missed out it's the way to go. OK I have no idea about that stuff, we just happen to have one silver one a little bigger than a tablespoon. There about 25 spoons and I doubt you could match 3, and a few different sizes, we don't do fancy. .
  11. I do better, well feel better anyway, I think I do. Post needing approval light up so if i just check in for a second I look for those, sometimes look at a couple threads when I have time. There are alot of sections and many threads in each, you could go crazy trying to watch it all. So I don't They said they were going to triple our pay so let's see, 3x 0 is The good part if they let me go I lose nothing, and you think they would have done that by now. The crazy part is we were out of town for 10 days years ago and I never look here when not home. Come to find out they took a poll and I was one of the ones picked, I was not told anything. I get back from vacation and sign in and see moderator by my name and freaked out sending messages up the chain, then I was told, not asked never was. Still deciding if I want to accept this job, I figure if I suck enough doing it...wait nevermind there is NO list of volunteers, probably why they never asked. But they are getting's there moneys worth.

I had no idea it was rated well. Also on the list of things I have no idea about is the Blue Plate we use, it is called heavy duty and does not need to be refrierated after opening. I have no idea why it is heavy duty or the refrigerated part. I do know one thing NEVER leave a real Silver spoon by accident in a mayo jar. It will be green in a couple days, chemical reaction or magic who knows ? .
  13. Sorry I can't help with your question since I have not heard any of the Reference line of Klipsch. But my first Klipsch was the SB3 with SS1 for rears and SC 1 for center for Home theater. Sounded good untill we added on and with a much bigger room it did not work out as good so went bigger. Since you do like the sound of horns you should try bigger models maby floorstanders if possable. Good luck

Around this part of the south it's Blue Plate. MW still sucks
  15. Have not looked around much, did not even realize there was a MW thread, still sucks.
  16. Thank you for that Miketn, that helps since I have not had a chance to hear them YET. I also liked what you said about the 1954 Klipschorn. I say this because Craig and I went and picked them up from the chirch who donated them to us and brought them to the Feild House. We had no idea what to expect or if they even worked but wanted to try them. Even with one tweeter out I sat there quite shocked at how they sounded. My first thought was that you could buy this kind of quality of sound in 1954, I had no idea it was going to be that good. A difference from the newest model Klipschorn, sure of course, but considering 67 years of time in between it made me realize how everyone of the improvements along the way was a fight to improve a great original design. Roy is a humble person and does not easily except how far he has advanced another one of PWK's ideas, but has made amazing improvements in many models. It's true Roy, you deserve to be very proud of your work since when Mr Paul put some of the ideas in your head for you to work out. He is smiling at you, you make him happy carrying on his dream further than he would have expected.
  17. Doing thing's like this with your kids is fun, but never cared much about halloween, but to a kid it's different I guess. Yes you will have to care about it now. Dad
  18. Had a bunch ov tv's over the years replacing older ones. Picture quality got better and they are now cheaper or the same price. Myself I only watch a couple of shows when they come on which would be about 2 hours a week and football.
  19. That's funny. We cut the satellite last week, got hulu+ instead at less than half of what the sat cost. After checking to see if everything we watched was included including live sports we switched. Hulu is a little harder to get around on (still learning) and slightly less convenient but for about $64 and plus still saving that much over sat it's good. Sat had a couple hundred channels we never watched but you had to have to get the few we wanted, they work it like that, well not for me anymore. Picture is just as good, from looks and acording to what resulition the tv say it is gitting.
  20. I will miss him, mostly in a good way, he would laugh at that. We talked alot over the years, let me tell you what that nut did once. He wanted to go to Pilgrimage one year so instead of flying into somewhere close to Hope he flew into Gulfport airport a day early so he could ride with us. What are you crazy I asked, now you have a 7 hour drive each way extra. Then he forgot to mention or didn't realize you need to get to the airport an hour early to fly back home so he had to catch the next plane. We had a few hours to kill so we went to eat at a casino and drove around a little then went back to the airport. We would tease him, Kevin Harmon who he loved would say your an odd cat Rodger, and he was, but he was doing much better over the last few years. L to R, Brandon Harmon, Rodger, and Kevin Harmon 2016
  21. Global Widlife center, you ride in trailers behind a tractor and animal's come to the trailers to eat. Went with the youngest daughter, husband and the kids this past weekend. The smallest granddaughter did better than we expected, she got the hang of feeding the animals. Second pic is with her dad.
