  1. After the last update, the sound through the bluetooth disappeared and the hiss at the aux and phono inputs increases as the sound is added Sorry I do not speak Russian, I used a translator and also have no idea of the problem of how to fix it, I do not work for Klipsch.
  2. Still here mostly just checking new post, but were fine thanks for asking. The storms were way North of us, which is fine by me. It looks like there is nothing left for 90 miles, to old to deal with that much of a mess, if you live through it anyway. Still a pain in the butt and drinking way to much coffee, probably never change any of my bad habits, I really enjoy them. Plenty new projects to keep me busy which I need, don't do well with nothing to do. Will try to do more around here, I do miss everyone.
  3. Happy Birthday Roy, hope you have a good day. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to get to know you, and none of it has to do with audio. It all has to do with the person you are, yes you have designed some OK speakers and what many know you for, but that is only a small part and not your best quality and no It's not fishing either. I am glad and proud to think of you as a friend, will see you soon.
  4. That's just what I used to do, it was the old type original T amp, they are better now I am sure. The original T amp said 10 wpc but really went downhill quick after half volume. a car battery would last for days. With the old T amp about 1/3 to half volume (before distortion) It was a little over 100 db at 100' outside. I know what you are going to try is different than what I was doing back then, but car audio will surprise you. I use a Pioneer Supertuner out in the bar with some Heresys, more power than needed out there. I decide to use a car radio for being tough, it's under a roof but still, fog, dampness and temperature changes over the last 5 years and still going strong. This pic is from 2008, back when they still had Sony Walkmans around. Those little things and a car battery was all that was needed.
  5. That's what I get for not reading and just checking for post needing to be approved. It's kind of a habit, reading and posting or not reading, I need to read more often. After being here a month short of 20 years I kind of got burned out. Not being interested in any additional speakers or equipment it was just about the people here and a lot less about audio. But I DO listen everyday, that has not changed, music is addictive.
  6. Thanks, I could not remember exactly how it went, its been a long time since I was asked.
  7. It could be because you are a new member, probably work after some post, I don't remember what conditions were set originally.
  8. I am, just old as crap it feels, could also be ready to be done with summertime. I feel like that picture sometimes.
  9. I know, it was about other things, but it was really just how it made me feel, mostly just part of feeling burned out, nothing personal on either side. Looking back it seems it all was just a bit much and I was tired and needed a break.
  10. If that was for me ?............... The only answer I have is I just got a little burned-out. I usually do not care what people say or think of me but something just got me aggravated and I thought why am I doing all of this and some take it the wrong way or see it different than what was really happening and intended. In the end it was just the way it made me feel more than anything. I still work with the museum, "somewhat moderate" which means just approve new post, it's how I noticed my name pop up in a notification. I do think about everyone here, some really good people. Can't say I will never post again but over 18 years of posting and doing everything else it gets a little tireing and I needed a break. Don't think that was asked for me but just in case nothing has changed, no new speakers needed but I do listen just about everyday, none of that has ever changed and won't. Well as long as I am above room temperature. Hope everyone here is well.
  11. Yes they do, I agree. Yes you did, my wife also picked ours by sound when she heard them for 1 minute. So which room are they going in, thought it was the big room, or was the other just to try them out?
  12. Thanks Babadono Marvel is right, it is the same thing I have in our living room. But I do not have the Xilica, use the EV Dx38 instead, it was was the original for this setup, The Dx has different settings and IN different frequencies places so these setting would be no help. There may be some people using the Xilica for this setup but I wouldn't know who to ask. I know it will sound good, especially in a room that size with room to breath. Sub is in the middle under tv. The other speakers are for HT.
  13. Sorry to hear this, very nice lady and family. I was lucky to get to know them even a little.
  14. Klipschorn, others can give better explanation of style. But definitely not LaScala.

Sorry have not been reading much at all, it was beef, some kind of roast the wife got ?
  16. I don't know how old it is, someone may have given it to PWK.
  17. It was not my lamp, it was in PWK's livingroom, I just took the pic. But I do like it.
  18. No she loves them, just not real loud and heavy metal will not cut it, I can't complain much but still do at times. K43 was the original, it was for Pro and could take a little more power than the K33. Don't know about gospel but 43 was original, Claude did test the 33 and 43 and the 33 did go a very slight bit lower. I have the K43 in the set in the shop and k33 in the 4 singles inside. I used K33's inside because the K43 cost more and are at times hard to find.
  19. I had rebuilt some old tools after I built the shop, that was just one, the after pic. I have never heard 2 double bins should be good, Those top drivers should keep up pretty well. This is 6 acres, I don't do it much but I have put thm outside and it sounds really good. LaScalas sound good outside also, just less bass. If they were singles it would be easy. When I got mine they just happen to be singles, I got them to copy in Red Oak for the living room, 4 singles 2 on each side. The folded horn to me just sounds better, more realistic. And I just like the MWM design and sound, it just sounds big and being a horn clean sounding. Same here, I sould definitely would not have the sound I have without advice and the people here, not even close. Glad you got to try these, they are good, also a simple design that works well.
