  1. Duder, 5050 is my guess on your old faithful?? Which is it?
  2. Now that's some solid, and good looking speaker stands, good work. Yes, and then you can split em and heat your house in the fall! Is that a Sansui?
  3. I sent an email about 45 minutes ago asking if this price was for the pair. Unlikely...no response yet.
  4. I think it may have been the same plumber who plumbed my house.
  5. Great amp at a great price. I have the older model 770 and have been very happy with it. GLWS! Outlaw Technical Support is outstanding. Over 10 years after the sale, they are always there to answer questions. Mine pertained more to the pre/pro as the amp has been pure brawn dependable power.
  6. Man, just when Carl built up my courage last evening, I'm sitting here enjoying my 2nd cup of Highlander Grogg, reading the days posts, and you got my tail between my legs again. Rainy here so I will shower and encourage wifey to shower so if things don't go well, and least we took our last showers. Probably should fill every bucket we own with water too...just in case. Maybe I should wait until Monday so in case I have to call in a real plumber, it's not at double time weekend rates. Creative procrastination!
  7. No, but I have deep well sockets. Those look in-expensive and maybe I should start an Ace list. I will send you a PM. Thank you!
  8. It's a shower/jet tub combo with separate hot & cold handles. I think they are American Standard brand. Wouldn't I have to bust up the tile and durock (or drywall probably) to get to a diverter valve, if there is one? We want to do a full remodel like you are doing, but need to wait until more lettuce grows. For now, just would like to get it usable. Thank you!
  9. That's exactly what I use. In fact just picked up another bottle yesterday. I stick with Stihl oils and Kubota oil with my tractor. They are pricier, but they were pricier equipment investments to begin with, so like someone said, no point in saving a few bucks by going with off-brand oil and filters. Sane with marine outboard motors. Chuck, I just re-read this. No I don't use the pre-mix, but do use the Stihl oil at 50:1 which I mix with no ethanol high octane gas. You may need to just rebuild the diverter valve then. No need to shut the water off. Not sure I understand. If I take these out without shutting off the water, won't it spray like a fire hydrant? There are two separate valves, one for hot and one for cold. I think they are just clogged with soot. I am on a private well, so I was going to shut off the breaker to my pump, and close the valve coming from the pressure bladder tank. There is a shut off valve going TO my hat water heater, but not coming out of it, so I was going to close that valve to, to be on the safe side.
  10. BTW, anyone know anything about portable dehumidifiers? Ran one for a few hours yesterday...bone dry. Frigidaire 50 pint electronic controls model. Called their service line, and the menu didn't even include dehumidifiers in their product mix. Likely have to buy a new one. Any recommendations? This one may be about 10 years old already. They just don't make things to last any more. A bet there is a timer in there to tell it to quit after so many hours. Maybe I can find it and trick it or set it back to zero.
  11. On cup # 3. Do throttle cables count? Stihl brushwacker update: carb torn down, soaked, cleaned 3rd time. Muffler screen removed & brushed thoroughly. Was optimistic...still running fine WOT, but have to feather the throttle. Took into Stihl dealer yesterday. Tech ran it full throttle for several minutes, removed carb, put back together. He advised running a few tanks of gas through it to see if it will work what ever out of it. So at least I know it wasn't operator/self-mechanic error. He didn't charge me anything, which was really nice. Will probably end up replacing the carb, but will use it for awhile and see if it improves. 2-cycle engines are like boats...they don't like to be stored! Rain moving in this afternoon and tomorrow, so if throttle cables don't count, I may re-install 8 analog audio cables from Oppo to Pioneer Elite AVR for SACD/DVDA, etc...I eliminated them for simplicity when I swapped my old Outlaw pre/pro with the AVR because it has HDMI, and my understanding was it should pass via HDMI. MKP, 232k on my 1998 Honda Accord 4 cylinder. Too bad it sits outside because rust has caused most of my issues, replaced gas tank, oil pan, brake lines, exhaust, etc...What happened to getting a complete exhaust system replaced for $300? The front pipe alone was over $200 and I don't believe it is stainless like the original. Nice job on the bathroom remodel Carl! I have one waiting for you when you are done. Haven't used the shower in our main bath for a year. Water just trickles out. I have the hot and cold faucet handles off and ready to remove the valves, but there are no shut offs for the shower supply lines. Why don't they install shut offs for showers? Should be code in my opinion. Anyway, been procrastinating it in fear that I will screw something up and then not be able to turn the water back on. Now that we are beyond Winter, I will try to get some courage like the cowardly lion and tackle it. Have a fun & productive weekend all!
  12. Get er done and Turn the Page!
  13. Both leave overspray stains, so one must be carefull at shooting them with either of your choice. Wasp & Hornet spay inefective eh? amazing, i drop wasp in flight with the home depot black and white can of wasp spray. Fill any hole you see with RTV clear, two three weeks mine were gone. I have clear silicone, but not RTV...is there something in that stuff that they don't like or is it just superior?
  14. So which will put down carpenter bees if hit in mid-air faster, brake clean or WD-40? Wasp & hornet spray doesn't phase em. How's my RC humming bird coming along MM?

    Fine Food and Music

Outstanding! I just drooled all over my keyboard.
  16. Looks like a gallon is the smallest container it comes in. Hopefully the Gumout soak and cleaning the muffler is the ticket. Coffee down, biscuits & sausage gravy down, on to Bloody Mary's and the Indy 500. I don't think I can wait to tackle the muffler and put the thing back together. May get to it today after all. MKP: "Ahhh the bee thing.....yea I got those things also.....They are starting to attack the lumber on the deck.....yea I don't think so...a shot of brake clean in the hole...there done!!...I don't like killing them, cuz I like bugs and things....but I'm sorry they can't drill into the deck." Brake clean, huh? Yep, once they start doing damage, they are done! They have the whole world to explore, but they have to mess with our houses and decks. I will have to try it.
  17. "Stihl 2 strokes are designed to run flat out 100% of the time" You know your right, when goldmining we need to clear our roads, iv got a Stihl 32" bar, runs great flat out, idle sucks. Thanks richieb...I have cleaned the muffler screen and the manual says something about bringing it to a Stihl dealer to have the muffler inspected. I haven't removed the whole muffler though and tried to clean the muffler itself. I think you may be right and it may be the cause. Carb is still soaking and it is raining so it may be tomorrow or later in the week. Chuck, deck looks outstanding. I use Flood products too, but mine is fully exposed and is now getting a lot of tree pollen, sap, etc...Decks are nice, but they are far from maintenance free. Kind of wish I did a composite one, but that stuff still seems to be in it's infancy. Pricey and not yet proven to hold up. MM, can you get the RC bee down to the size of a humming bird? That will work! Gary, what model is that Sherwood receiver? How many WPC? I still need to pick up a 2 channel receiver to drive my KP-320's I picked up last fall for outdoor use. Was looking at the QVC and Crown. Thinking I need 200 WPC or more. Makes sense to me, we may be working on the wrong end ! Cannont get any fuel/air into it, if it cant get out the other end ! Pull that dam muffler and clear it, hell if your not worried about a spark arrester, id poke a couple holes in that screen. SOB. Damn, it was one of my Stihl chain saws that I cleaned the screen many times. Just looked at the brushwacker, and I have never cleaned it, but I don't see a screen, so, right on boys, I am betting it is the muffler. I will remove it and see if it comes apart and clean the crap out of it ....literally! Thanks again richieb and MM. Stihl recommends a 50:1 mix which is pretty lean. A lot of folks tell me to run richer, but Stihl techs have told me stay at 50:1. When you think about it you nearly always run chain saws wide open, and concrete saws, but line trimmers and brush wackers seldom run WOT. I'll keep you posted. I am optimistic this is the problem.

    Indy 500

Pre-race on ABC starting now. I went to several time trials and one race in 1973 where Salt Walthers had a bad crash at the start. It then got rain delayed to the next day and I had to go to school and I think my folks took my sister.
  20. Thanks Muel...I will try to find it. Minermark, can you build me a couple RC artificial carpenter bees that are faster and can outsmart the real thing? Come on, you got the schit to do it. They need to be faster and smarter and be equipped with laser sights and tiny missiles and flame throwers. How quick can you get them to me? The scotch is on it's way. About to start 2nd OT of Blackhawks/Ducks playoffs. Forced to sip another vodka and cranberry on the rocks!
  21. Join you there later...off to cut grass and get in for the Blackhawks/Ducks game and maybe a martoony or two. I drink just about everything, but haven't acquired a taste for scotch. I have a couple 25+ years old bottles of "The Famous Grouse". Is it good or cheap? Would the 25+ years make it better?
  22. Look in your local "Upscale" Liq store, Guinness Blond, for those who really want a Guinness but cannot handle the taste, one beer, you are indeed spoiled, as for a Guinness conisoure, you be in love Mate. Now as far as that Dually goes, iv sealed the cave, crankin tunes. https://youtu.be/ISmgOrhELXs I will have to look for it. Does it carry as much punch as a regular Guiness? I like Guiness stout, but only a couple as a night cap, or night start...
  23. Just counted at least 9 holes in our soffit. I'm starting a Carpenter bee contest! You must be pretty fast with a tennis racket Chuck...thanks should be in order to your LF. Just dug out my racket ball racket, but I'm at a disadvantage with a right shoulder and lat issue. Can I count these 2, or would that be unfair without an official start? I didn't get them with a racket. Gary & Chuck, are you in?
  24. The carb is in a small jar soaking in Gumout. Rain moving in the next several days, so I think I will let it soak for days...maybe a week. I don't think I need to worry about a carb getting pruned do I? Right...3 beers, one vodka tonic, and a 2nd VT after I type this. I guess I would rather be up against a small carb issue than a duallly rotor issue. Kind of like the big boats with twins...double trouble. Guiness blonde? Chuck, do you find the carpenter bees depart in mid summer? They always seem to be prevalent in spring then gone. Spraying carb cleaner in the b holes, and then install MM's zapper screens. That may be the ticket...no more house to maintain. Time for the RV! No property taxes either! Need to find an RV to accommodate Khorns.
  25. Should I use something other than Gumout to soak the carb body in?
