  1. I’m an Italian musician and Klipsch Fan, i’m Searching for a pair of Klipsch Heresy Slant Monitors HSM, where can I find a pair of these speakers for sale?
  2. I am interested in a clean McIntosh MC225 all original and in Excellent condition only +/- $$ trade in equipment would be great. Tubes not necessary but would be welcome. No Russian or Chinese tubes please. For possible trade I have a set of MC30's, brought up to specs by the Audio Doctor in Phoenix and the same for all but the Fisher unit. Invoices would be available. Also have MC300 w/ MX132 A/V both units in Mint condition with boxes, MC240 and (2) Fisher 500C and (1) Fisher 500b. Also would consider my MX110Z recently serviced and up to spec except (Audio Doctor) the FM, also in excellent condition. I don't use the radio so didn't bother with that although it works well. This is a long shot I know but.. I'm in Tucson AZ. and would prefer a hand off so nothing gets damaged in shipping. Please PM if interested.
  3. Hello,I live in Auburn Maine 04210. I have not 1,but 2 full klipsch nvm 1900 stacks in my storage. These are type BB. No metal trim,or handles. All drivers work!! CABINETS are in great condition. (8) k-43's/(4) 10" midbass (original.)/(4) 2" Gause mid horns./(20) (or) 4 stacks of 5 tweeters. Every single cabinet in both sets has consecutive serial #'s which blew me away. Not only will I ship these via carrier (buyer pays, and I can get a quote from my shipper.) A lot of people think 5 full stacks of these is the ultimate home theater well I have for just go find one more stack considering reasonable offers. Trade both stacks for jbl summet L-300's I ALREADY have a bunch of klipsch. Or cash! $4k...207-713-8402...Richard. I do not know much about posting here..I can email photos probably going to take some good ones of them set up,right now in storage unit..Also comes with cables, vintage Yamaha 16 channel mixing board.etc.
  4. I moved into a condo 2 years ago and had no idea they were a gold mine for Trick or Treaters. Once I caught on, I decorated, and set up with my Heresy's in the plan. I just finished setting up for Tuesday's fun. The Heresy's are perfect for the job as they have the muscle. In the five disc changer are discs of spooky Halloween sound effects, set to random play. As long as I remember to open the window, my Heresy's will broadcast over an expanse of parking lots, grass, and an access road which make for great acoustics. The speakers are in a second floor bedroom (don't mind the appearance; I'm painting!) so the sound isn't too "in your face", but the sidewalk is only 10 feet from the front steps so you'll know where it's coming from as you walk by. Oh, and my decorations (the lamp is an orange LED): This year I hope to lower the noose so the kiddies will have to reach through the loop to ring the doorbell-adds to the gruesomeness! And for all the fright, they'll be rewarded properly.
  5. Very lightly used pair of RB-75 speakers in Black Satin finish. Comes with all original packaging and boxes, including Owner's Manual. Pictures shows condition, but they are in near flawless condition. Each box weighs 34 pounds for shipment. Local buyers can pickup for free (Philadelphia area) I also have speaker stands that match each if anybody is interested. I can't find too many of these for sale around, so pricing is a guess. Let me know if I am way off. Price does not include shipping. Thanks! Working on getting pictures attached.
  6. Hello, I have six R-5800-W in-wall speakers, perfect condition, hardly used, white face. $250 each or $1300 for all six. Las Vegas somegirrl@cox.net
  7. Selling RSW15 and pair of RS7 surround speakers. RSW15...2 minor surface scratches on RSW15 on top less than 1/2" long. Speaker screen mounting posts were broken but repaired with epoxy. Works perfectly. $800 RS7... never used, one nick on top surface of one RS7 less than 1/8". $500 for pair
  8. Hello again nice Klipsch folks. We're here today to talk about try #3 at a set of Klipsch speakers that suit me - these being a friend's pair of Synergy F-3. After moving, his wife banished these monsters to the cupboard, and he was looking to free up some cupboard space. And as someone who has heard a number of modern Klipsch offerings (which were not bad BTW), I figure I can have a lot of fun for a reasonable price. Now for these speakers, they will be attached to my Jolida Tube Amp, and will (may for CD) use a Proton preamp. In short, I want the same bass impact one gets from going to a concert, with clear and effective highs. I also hope that the two-way, single horn design of these will avoid much of the midrange distortion that bothered me so much when I demoed the Fortes. In my brief time with a set of RB-61, I was not disturbed by the horn-loaded tweeter, and did not find it tinnitus-inducing. Unfortunately, I did find them to not perform as well as some other bookshelves I had on hand; almost as if some mid texture was missing. However, I am hopeful that the F-3 teamed with the tubes will be a great match. So what should I expect? I know online opinion is somewhat mixed, and there are some negative connotations from using speakers purchased at Best Buy. That being said, my main room currently has a set of $1,200 Wharfedales, so I expect the Synergy to be in the same ballpark as they are. Thank you again all for your gentle education.
  9. Hey all, been a while hope everyone is doing good. I've been cleaning out the music stash and found these surround speakers. Will test the waters here and see if anyone wants them. Check my history I've bought and sold a lot of gear via the Klipsch Forums. I've even sent speakers (Academy, Heresy) over seas. Please pardon the yellowish tint on the shot from the top....bad lighting. I can assure you they are bright white. Very good shape the day they arrived they went up on a wall. When they came down they went in a box. A little dust here and there, once over with a damp cloth and they should be great. One blemish on top front corner of one speaker. $65 $55 and I'll pick up the paypal fees you pay for shipping from zip 21154. Looks like with adequate packing it will be about 20 pounds. I'll ship however you like. I wonder what Barbara Miller is up to these days? Thanks Barb!!!
  10. I'd like to thank all of you that helped me decide on a receiver in a previous thread, I think I'll be powering all this with a Denon AVRX6300H. Currently, I have a 5.2.2 setup that I'm looking to upgrade to a 7.2.4 system. (right now it's L/R Klipsch RF 7II, center RC-64II, surround RS-62II, atmos RP-140SA and 2x SVS SB2000 subs.) I LOVE the reference line, but I feel like using RF 7IIs as rears would be overkill and I considered using two more RS 62II but being bipoles I wasn't sure they'd make for great rears. Could I use my old RP-260F as rears or would it sound mismatched because they're RP and not RF? I feel moderately satisfied with the RP-140SA, I feel like adding two more could make a big difference but if I wasn't impressed by two RP-140SA... Maybe I should put in the effort of CDT-5800-C II or CDT-5650-C II? The square footage is roughly 17x20. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  11. So I got this RC-3 center off eBay, when it arrived the tweeter was out of place, no big deal just got it back in the horn, next thing I replace my old center with it and there's only sound coming from the tweeter, thought it might require bi-amping so I plugged each input on it but only the ones in the top seem to power the tweeter and the woofers just wont work either bi-amping or using the included jumpers, so I took it all apart and tested each woofer using a AA battery and they both seem to work, so I believe the problem is either the input or the crossover, thing is I've never done any crossover testing, I don't even know what to look for but I've been told they're easy to fix so any info or help is appreciated. Let me know if you need to see any pictures.
  12. Hi! I'm looking for some advice on receivers, I'll admit my HT audio knowledge is rudimentary.. (working on fixing that ) A while back I had bought the Onkyo TX-NR646 for its Atmos compatibility, this was when I had the smaller size of Klipsch RP speakers. I've since upgraded my setup to 5.2.2 - L/R Klipsch RF 7II, center RC-64II, surround RS-62II, atmos RP-140SA and 2x SVS SB2000 subs. I realize Klipsch speakers are considered conservative as far as power is concerned, but would I notice an improvement in audio quality if I upgraded my receiver? I was considering the Denon AVR-X4200W to this end as well as being able to step up to 7.2.2 I will admit, it's hard for me to imagine these speakers sounding better. When my SO and I first listened to them they took our breath away. It truly felt like there weren't speakers in the room, rather the MOVIE was happening in the room! We're now Klipsch fans for life. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Also, I mainly use the speaker setup for movies and games.
  13. Hi guys , i hope someone, can help me out with the following issue . I have a pioneer receiver Vsx 920 , so nothing special there. I just bought a new Klipsch R-10 SW woofer , and i ran the MCACC to let pioneer fine tune the speakers and new woofer . i have had the adjust knob at the back set to LFE and woofer gain at 40% as seen on picture below. I have set the the "on switch" to "Auto" And let it run..... he detects my speakers , detects the woofer and al well . After running everything and pioneer is ready with the "fine tuning" Then i start to watch tv and i wait..... but the subwoofer wont turn on automatically . then i start up spotify ...no woofer... a movie.....no woofer I have to keep switching the on and off switch to make use of its woofer . I thought maybe its the wrong cable? So i bought a new cable .. Oehlbach Nf subwoofer cable. still nothing , so i bought another cable of Monster subwoofer 400 sw cable. still nothing... I ran the MCACC again... checked the setting...i thought , maybe the volume was to low on the woofer. i noticed it was set to -10 DB ... so i switched it up to 0 DB , but stil no luck. I did a Hard reset on my reciever...and once again let MCACC run its course.... no luck Now im ran out of ideas, what to do....to make it work on auto setting....
  14. Hello all, im new here to the forum but I just received my speakers from crutchfield and got them set up and man they sound great! Ive had a fun time doing my project and though to share about what I have done and to see what you guys are doing in your HT's. What kind of equipment you run, how would you change your setup? Etc, etc. I have spent quite some time working to replace old components and make my HT the way I want it. My father always had component systems, i.e. Receiver, phono, tape, CD etc. so I grew up seeing these items and familiarizing myself with them. However, he wasn't an audiophile and bought mid grade components. Mostly Sony, I think the tape player was a fisher and the Phonos I recall were technics. Nothing over the top but usually sounded ok. Growing up listening to music a lot and becoming a musician I found appreciation for better quality sound. So when I bought my home a couple years ago, and after all the stuff I took care of to get it right for me like new carpet and paint, solar panels fixed and pool in tip top shape, it was time to get my theater how I wanted it for a price I could afford. Still working on it but as of now it's ok with me. For the past month or so I've been slowly working on my weekends off from work and usually with no ones help, to get my theater up and running and also aesthetically pleasing. It started with a new 75" Samsung screen to go atop my fireplace when I bought my home. I was using an old Sony receiver from 1999 that my father had purchased along with those JBL's and one day I popped in a blu-ray only to see a big picture. (Pun intended) there was no sound because the AVR I had was too old and couldn't decode the audio format. I went down to the local bestbuy and bought a STR-DN1050. I like it. I know it's not the best or most powerful but it seems to work for me. My home also came with outdoor patio speakers but they were exceedingly decrepit and sounded horrible. So I had the nice big flat panel, a decent AVR, I wound up getting some Yamaha outdoor speakers on sale at Best Buy and removing those old patio speakers and upon doing so, it kind of put me in a mode of getting things done. Upon changing the patio speakers, I realized how bad the wires were so I decided to put a bit more time into the job and run new wiring. That's basically the beginning. My whole home theater project started because I knew the wiring to my patio speakers was terrible and I had to do something about it. Once I ran new wiring to the patio speakers I sat down and looked at my tv and said to myself "I need to get rid of those wires" meaning the ones dangling from the tv to the avr stand and power plug. I began researching how to videos on YouTube and other places, talking to people who I know who are contractors or people who know the right ways to do things. I'm pretty knowledgeable I'd say but certain things (like finishing drywall) I just simply haven't done before and lack the experience. running the wires to the outdoor speakers was pretty simple because the previous owner had made a hole from in to outside and there was a piece of pvc tubing in the top portion of my fireplace wall for wiring to go thru and then down the wall to the AVR area. It was simple because I used the old wires to pull new ones thru. I didn't have to cut holes or use fishtape at all. However when it came to the point in which the speaker wire exited the wall they were lazy. They literally had a hole drilled and that was it. No outlet cover, no labeling, just a lazy junky looking hole with two wires coming out of it. For the time being I used that hole but that was the day I told myself I'm going to take on the project and make everything look legit and professional. Being a normal blue collar dude, I had to wait for my paychecks to come in for me to start getting all the supplies together. One thing that helped me out was living in Southern California and learning of a place called monoprice. Turns out they are right down the way from me about 30 minutes and I utilized the hell out of them. I recommend them to anyone who's trying to do what I just did for sure especially with the speaker wire and banana plugs. Best Buy rapes people on wire and plugs. I made a plan, and over the course of time and when I had the money to get the supplies I put together a vision. My goal was to run my home theater wiring, making it to where I had no visible wires anywhere, to save money by doing the work myself, most importantly do it properly and no Mickey moused and to learn as I went. The first hole. I began my first hole into my wall for a power receptacle for my flat screen. The cord was plugged into an extension cord and hanging down from the tv along with all the hdmi cables and etc. looked terrible. I hated it. I had purchased so 14/2 romex from the local Home Depot and a recessed outlet. I used a old work high voltage 1 gang fixture to put this new plug into and after I think 30 or 45 minutes I was all done installing the plug. I ran power from a nearby outlet on the same 15 amp breaker and said let there be power and there was and it was good. So that was one thing down. Another day I decided to get the hdmi and digital optical audio cables fished thru the walls from tv to AVR area. Did that, hardest part was having to take the giant flat panel off the wall and try not to drop it cause I had no one to help me. I highly recommend using help. I would have but everyone was busy. In order to place the hdmi and optical cables to the right locations I had to cut out an access point in my wall because there was a fireblock in the way. For those who don't know, fireblocks are horizontal studs between a set of vertical studs and they are inconsistently placed in a wall to help reduce the spread of fire. I had to drill a 1 inch hole thru them to fit my wires thru and of course seal them with a California code approved fireblock sealant when I was all done. As time went on I got more and more done and finally on the last weekend for the last part of the job which I was dreading most, my little friend Brian came by to give me a hand. See, I have cathedral ceilings in my house and I wasn't sure if I could get all the way over to the areas needed to penetrate the top plate to run the rear surround wiring which was on the farthest exterior wall from my attic access point. Turns out I can fit myself up there but Brian being a fraction of my size did it much easier. he helped me out a lot that day and we got all the wiring in the attic done, all the top plates got sealed. All that was left was to add a couple more plates for the two front speakers next to the fireplace and the subwoofer outlet on the far left side of room. We got those wrapped up and then I just waited. I had had ordered my Klipsch R28F speakers along with the R12SW from crutchfield. I saved over 100$ on taxes because they offer free shipping and no tax. So while I waited to for my new awesome speakers to come in, I cleaned up the living room, put my couch back into place. Vacuumed up a bit and waited for the day I'd see my speakers in my living room. Well that day was actually two days but I got my speakers as soon as they got off the plane. I drove to Ontario, Calif. to the UPS freight warehouse where I was able to pick them up immediately. Awesome. I got them a day in advance. My sub on the other hand, I didn't get it until Tuesday at 2036. It was 30 minutes past my bedtime. I couldn't even turn it on. So now it's been a couple of days since I've had them and man they sound amazing! I hooked everything up very simply and had power to them in like 2 seconds thanks to my idea of putting a speaker wire +/- outlet behind every speaker. I should mention that I added a home theater distribution panel as well and that made things super clean and easy. im still working on smoothing out my dry way and getting it ready for texture cause I have to retexture the spots I cut a hole into but I'll have to finish that this weekend. But for now, I'm happy as a pig in slop knowing that I did the work myself and saved a lot of money, I got some great speakers and I finally have a system that I got for myself that sounds really good. Sense of accomplishment with the whole thing. So how about you? Share your home theater stories or equipment specs or whatever. Samsung 75" LED Smart TV Samsung Blu-Ray player Sony STR DN-1050 jailbroken fire stick custom built media server running pled, w/16 TB storage for backup of media. (No more cd or dvds laying around taking up shelving space!) Klipsch R28F's for front L/R Klipsch R25C for center Klipsch R15M's for surrounds Klipsch R12SW for sub currently have my settings on my AVR and sub set to this. Front speakers Large Center small and EQ rounded up to nearest 10 from what manual says is lowest frequency response of speaker. Surrounds small and EQ is set in the same manner as center channel. Sub is plugged into LFE only. Gain is set to just before midpoint (like 4.5/11) EQ dial on sub is set all the way up. phase is at 0. I found that my settings allow for a smooth bass. Not too much and not too little. It picks up all the bass noise in movies and sounds great for music. I ran the auto calibration on my AVR also before I started listening. my fronts and center is 10 ft for fronts and 10 ft 2 inches away from seating position and AVR picked that up accurately. my sub is 13 ft from seating position and got picked up at around 15 ft and applies a -6db drop. my surrounds are 6.5 feet away from seating position and 1db increase was put on them. im going to try to add some photos of my work and a bit of what my setup looks like but I'll have to do it in another post just below this one. Please excuse my mess of tools, wires and energy drinks on my table in some of the photos.
  15. Hello everyone! *ABOUT ME, SKIP DOWN FOR MY TOPIC* New to the forum, but I actually just got into Klipsch! My step dad has had the Quintet III for years now and he loves it and I admit it sounds damn good. Before I have what I have now, I owned the Polk Audio RM6750 surround system. It was a basic 5.1 channel with a small subwoofer. I used all of the surround speakers but never used the sub or the center channel. After hearing my step dad's set up, and with his Klipsch Sub10, I ended up building my own. It was during the time I loved building speakers, so I ordered the woofer off of eBay, bought a plate amp and port, and built it to the spec's of his. It turned out great! Also I custom built my center channel with speakers from HiVI, and crossover'd them. I had them all running through an older Yamaha 6.1 Receiver! Currently, this is what I have: Current Setup Klipsch R-15m --- Mains (2) Klipsch R-14m --- Surrounds (2) Custom HiVI --- Center Polk Audio PSW505 --- Subwoofer Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH --- Receiver HISENSE 55h8c 4k --- Television So overall, my setup is decent however there are some problems with it. I've been looking everywhere for a suitable replacement for the receiver and I've come up with nothing in my price range really. The guy is a beast what can I say! The sound is very clear, it pushes 140 watts at 8 ohms which is rare to find because everything now says "WOW 250 watts in every channel! *in fine print* at 6 ohms! So now reduce the power a lot to get the 8 Ohms. The THX certification is a nice feeling to have even though the speakers aren't, and just overall it's very easy to use. Problem being, I'm trying to get a little more modern. The Elite only has HDMI 1.3 I believe, which doesn't support 4K pass-through. My question being, what would be a good upgrade receiver wise to give me similar sound/plus having 4K pass-through? OR, I have been considering if I went with a power amplifier and a cheaper receiver to do the same thing while allowing me to get 4K pass-through. I have looked into Emotiva, Rotel, Parasound and so on and all of them are quite expensive of course for a 5 Channel amp. Is any of this worth it? Or should I continue just running all of my stuff to my TV then exporting through optical? Thank you for reading, hope you have a good day! - Josh
  16. I currently have a set of rs 52s and a set of 62s. Want to pair up my 62s so the 52s are for sale or trade and I am looking for a pair of 62s. Round grill version. Any one want to trade; I would throw in some $.
  17. Hi i am located in Georgia and i am trying to sale my brand new in box Klipsch RF-5 speakers in satin black. Please email me if interested i am willing to ship if paid by buyer. Thanks
  18. Hey everyone, In the market for a pair of La Scala IIs, finish isn't too important. Ideally they will be less that ten years old, in good condition, not too many physical imperfections. Looking forward to hearing from any sellers. My email is cbaugh1@gmail.com. Thanks a lot people! Chris
  19. Hello all! I'm selling a few extra things I have sitting around. First off is a brand new in box pair of black RP-160M bookshelves. I got these as part of a bundle with some RF-7 II's and an RC-64 II but I already had a pair of them, so I don't really have a need. Asking $350. Can and will ship at buyer's expense. I also have a couple brand new in box WA-2 wireless subwoofer kits for use with the reference series subs. I bought a couple R-115sw's and they came with them but I prefer a wired connection. Asking $60 each, will ship at buyer's expense. Last but not least I have a pair of Cherry Polk (eww I know) RTi A9's that I ended up with as part of a trade and I really have no space for them. Plus, I'm sort of a Klipsch guy. No idea what these things are really worth, but MSRP looks to be $1500/pair. The previous owner either had them shipped or knocked them over, and unfortunately they have a couple dings in them. The worst by far is next to the middle woofer on one of the speakers, but all drivers are absolutely flawless. I have a couple pics to highlight the damage, luckily it's mostly covered by the grills. If there's any interest, I'd strongly prefer local pickup in Terre Haute, IN. Asking $600 for the pair.
  20. May be selling this original pair. I am the owner since day one. Great condition. Gauging interest. Thanks!
  21. Hello, I have a set of vintage corner speakers that I would like to find out more information about. Can anyone tell me what they are and what the value might be on them. They are in very nice working condition. Thank you
  22. I have Polk Audio [LSiM 707 (as Front Main), LsiM 703 (Front High), LsiM 706 (Center), LsiM 702 F/X (Surround)] in my 7.2 systems. I would like to know if RP-140SA as atmos speakers matches above system (particularly for Lsim 707, note: its top surface is slightly curve not flat). Any your input will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
  23. After using 2 year we see some problems like an attachment what can be problem ? we have got 3 speaker for peer floorstanding .. 1-2 speakers are injured but 3 speaker in a good condition
  24. Great-looking cabinets but the driver combination is a bit unusual. Any thoughts? https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/ele/6122184764.html No affiliation.
