  1. I just got my kplish promedia 2.1 thx speaker from newegg but when I connected all the wires and all the audio plugs my subwoofer only played the sound and none of my speakers were working. How do I fix this.
  2. Hello all, I have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX system like this (amber Klipsch THX badges and power pad incorporated into one of the smaller satellite speakers). These speakers have produced fantastic quality sound, I have loved this system on my PC. It has apparently just lost power (while in use), the green light on the speaker power pad is no longer illuminated. The sound literally just cut out while they were in use, no electrical smells or any weird sounds, it was as if they were simply unplugged. I have always had them on 24/7/365, hooked into my PC. I've owned them for maybe 1.5 years, so not that old. I've done the typically trouble shooting - unplugged/plugged back in, restarted my PC, checked the Windows 10 "manage audio devices/sound" looked to see if the speakers bar was being colorized up/down as audio is played. All to no avail. There's no static/buzzing sound when I plug them into my PC, or that static/buzzing sound when you touch your finger tip on the plug end that goes into your PC. They appear to be completely dead. I plugged in an older set of speakers into my PC and those work fine, so obviously seems to be something with the Klipsch speakers. Does anyone have any tips as to how to trouble shoot this on the Klipsch speakers? It seems like perhaps a fuse has blown? I've opened up the subwoofer and taken some photos of the electronics (imgur.com gallery) It all looks very clean inside, I don't see any signs of any connection being burned or damaged and there was no electrical burning smell when it went out. Can anyone identify where the fuse is on this? I'd like to see about replacing that as the speaker system seems to be power dead. I'm obviously no electronics expert and only know enough to get myself electrocuted. I don't have any electronics troubleshooting equipment, either.
  3. I just set up my Klipsch speaker system I got from Walmart and although both my left and right speakers work fine, my subwoofer is not working. I have tried reseating the 9 pin serial connection and trying different power outlets as well as ensuring the subwoofer's knob is turned up where it needs to be. I have also tried to see if maybe using the AUX input would show any different results but this has sadly resulted in nothing as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on what's up?
  4. I currently use a Klipsch Academy for my center channel home theatre system along with a right and left Cornwall and two Heresy's for surrounds. My A/V Receiver is an NAD T-785. The Academy is an earlier design and is THX certified. I have found the response to seem somewhat "muddy" making it difficult at times to distinguish dialog in movies. Has anyone had a similar experience with this speaker? The Academy is a beautiful piece and, as much as I hate to, I am considering updating to the Klipsch RC-62C. I do not have the footprint for the wider series speakers. Any comments an/or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hello, I just got two Klipsch promedia 4.1 satellites in perfect condition from a flea market, without subwoofer and speakers wires but with the control pod. What would be the easiest way to connect them to my PC/monitor/console, please? I don't want to invest in any mini desktop amp or anything like that, I hope to find a 2.1 or 4.1 subwoofer in the future. I'm thinking of connecting the control pod to my PC's audio output; I can connect each satellite with 3.5mm ( 1/8" ) mono jack plug to 3.5mm stereo to an audio 3.5mm splitter jack that I can plug into one of the two minijacks on the side of the control pod. Would this solution work? If I'm not lucky finding a Klipsch promedia subwoofer, what would be a good substitution, please?
  6. Hello I'm new to the forum and happy to be a part of it! I have a pair of Klipsch KW-120 THX subwoofers without the amp. Is it worth buying the amp or should I sell them and buy a powered Sub. I currently have a Pb4000 pro and the THX ultra 2 series as my front stage. Anyone have experience with the THX subs? Or can I run them with another type amplifier? I may be interested in selling them if the price is right. Im in the Tampa bay area in Florida. Please let me know what you think.

  9. I have Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers that I've bought from 2 years ago and I've been using them frequently ever since. Recently, the right channel speaker sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't. I noticed yesterday that when I plugged the power cable of the subwoofer (to which the speakers are connected to), the right channel speaker was working for a while like it should, then it stopped. Also, I've also noticed both speakers have a low buzzing sound, and the buzzing sound doesn't go away regardless of changing the volume. But I really just want my right speaker to work again. And by the way, I am not a sound techie so I won't understand a lot of tech jargon. I know that there are so many places to start, but if anyone can help me out with what I should do from the information I just gave, that would be awesome! Thanks!
  10. I am in the process of renovating my basement into a Theatre Room, I have all the wiring ran for a 7.2.4 set up. My local dealer is really pushing the THX Ultra 2 line, but I have no room for the centre channel (KL-650-THX). The kitted system comes with the following: Three KL-650-THX LCRs Dual KL-525-THX LCRs Dual KS-525-THX surrounds Dual KW-120-THX subwoofers KA-1000-THX subwoofer amplifier I really like the looks of these speakers, but first want some opinions on how I can make this all work. First off I have roughed in for 6.5'' in-ceiling (elevation) speakers for Atmos. I would like to know what the best timber match would be if I were to go with the THX Ultra 2 line-up, as I do not have room for the PRO-7502's. Also the Centre Channel poses a problem as my screen is approx 8'' out from the wall, so the KL-650-THX will not work as the in-ceiling recessed projector screen will hit it when down. (and its already fixed in this position, so moving it forward would be a nightmare. The projector screen will come down in from of a brick fireplace, so my thoughts were I could possibly go with the PRO-6504-THX and recess it into the bricks. So a few dilemmas here, any advise, input or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a few pictures.
  11. Seems like a good deal at Newegg today. They are the shell shocker and limit three per person but they would be nice additions for in ceiling if anyone is interested. $399 each. Regular $999
  12. Hello This is the first time posting for sale on the forum as CL has been no luck. Up for sale I have a pair of black RF7ii in pristine condition and a RC64ii in the same condition. I worked for a dealer that went out of business after 16 years and I picked this pair up from them. These are 100 percent A stock units with sequential serial numbers. I have only had these in use since March 2014. I unfortunately got rid of the boxes these came in as I never anticipated letting them go but a new job out of state has priority and they will not fit in the new place. I also have a definitive technologies reference suoercube piano gloss black 1800 watt subwoofer that compliments these very well, it too came from the store and has only been used since March 2014. And I do have the box on that one as it weighs in at over 110 pounds. I will include a really nice bello metal center channel stand with the center as well. I have been running the speakers with an Onkyo TX-SR806 THX plus 2 AV Receiver. Also For sale is my Mozaex Player2 3D Blue Ray Server. I will be trying to get the pictures up of all of this stuff as soon as i can figure out how to pull them off of my iphone. I would prefer pickup but may pack and ship via freight depending on location and distance. (I could pack well but I would hate to have the shipping company damage these beauties) Prices are as follows Klipsch RF7II and RC64II With stand $2200.00 OBO Definitive Technologies Reference SUPERCUBE Subwoofer $1100.00 OBO Onkyo TX-SR 806 THX 130 WPC AV Receiver $450.00 OBO Mozaez Player 2 Video server $2500.00 All of this equipment is in like Brand New Condition Thanks for Looking, I am Located In The Kansas City Missouri Area For Local Pickup I tried uploading and my pictures are too big, Email me and I can send you pics while I am getting these resized.

  14. Hi Everyone, I have a Klipsch subwoofer and four thx speakers, two of which have stands. I will be moving soon and am looking to sell them, but I don't know their worth. They work just fine, but due to noise complaints from my downstairs neighbors I haven't had much opportunity to use them. If anyone is interested in them or knows anything that you'd be willing to share about their worth, I'd appreciate the help. The subwoofer is a ksw 150 serial # ksw15-98270519 The Speakers are THX Thanks a lot!
