  1. Sitting around being bored while out on sick leave, I decided to do a little upgrading to the ol' turntable. Lately I've been exploring different cables for the stereo, so I decided on buying a new tonearm cable to replace the old Monster cable I knew wasn't that good. I went with a Jelco unit to match my Jelco SA-750 arm. While I was at it, I replaced the headshell with the beautiful rosewood headshell also from Jelco. Last but not least, I awapped out the stock base for a sturdier base from a company called Ammonite, out of GB, also known as the "Shuggie" collar. Results are very impressive to say the least! Hard to tell which upgrade is most responsible, and I was far to impatient to do one at a time. So, for about $350.00 I have a much better sounding vinyl system!
