  1. Hello Klipsch fans! I've been asked by those following my home theater build videos over the past couple years to post a current and complete walk through video. I finally got around to documenting the completed basement build. It took me over two years from design to final build of what you see here and I did it all with my own two hands and it's been a ton of work. All my audio systems throughout the house are Klipsch so I thought it particularly relevant to post it on this forum. Here are some pics of the final areas as well as the full video tour down to the collectibles in my media room.
  2. Hi all, I'm a new owner of RP 4000F mini towers (small living room, wife issues with larger towers). I've been looking into the Klipsch RP500SA's, but they're too big for the 4000F mini tower size. I could put the 500SAs right next to the towers, on my entertainment console, but that doesn't seam ideal. Looking for some advice on another approach....
  3. Hi all, I'm a new owner of RP-4000F mini towers (small living room / wife issues with larger floor standing speakers). I've been looking into the Klipsch RP-500SA's, but they're too big for the 4000F mini tower size. I could put the 500SAs right next to the towers, on my entertainment console, but that doesn't seam ideal. Looking for some advice on another approach or other options ( looks like the older RP-140SA are around the same size).
  4. I have the Denon X6400H 11.1 receiver. It does both Dolby atmos and Auro-3D out the box. I’d like to setup my speakers in a way that’s condusive to both immersive 3D audio formats. Does anyone have a good way to achieve this? I think I’ll do a 10.2 setup. -A regular 5.1 channel surround. Extra subwoofer. (5.2) -4 height channels (RP-140SA) -1 extra height channel above TV for Dolby Atmos height speakers (RP-140SA) -1 Voice Of God Channel (5800-CDT-II) My original goal was to do a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup. But now with Auro-3D out, I’d like to sample both audio formats. An option would be get the speakers in position for a 7.2.4, then buy 4 extra Auro-3D “height channels”. Once all speakers are in place, depending on movie I’m watching(and format that catches on), I can just alter my speaker configuration in back of receiver. That or spend another $2400 on the Denon 13.2 X8500. Haha. I’ve watched a few reviews on the 8500 and they’re hailing it as an homage to Denon in its glory daze. It’s a beast. Well, for 4G’s it better make me doughnuts too. Ha.
  5. hello everyone! I'm quite new to the home theatre setup and would like some advice from the pros here. I just got a new place and would like to get a 5.1.4 setup (in-ceiling) from scratch, don't have any other equipment available. i would say i'm a keen listener for sound, but i wouldn't go as far as to say that i'm an audiophile for high-end music. I've researched and researched, to come up with this proposed setup. So anyway, i would like some comments and advice on the below suggested build. My budget is ~$6k but i'm willing to spend abit more if its worth it and compromise elsewhere where it is not really worth it (eg.surrounds & ceiling). I'm based in Singapore so all currency is in SGD for your reference. My personal preferences are in order as well, 1 being the most preferred. My wife really love the Klipsch Reference Premiere looks so there's some points for that, esp for the front 3 components. Receiver i'm very much leaning towards the AVR-X7200W as the specs are better than the other two but not much more expensive. However that 3 year old used is bothering me, no warranty. hm. I can go down to his place to test out the receiver though.. 1. Denon AVR-X7200W (with Auro3D, not HDCP2.2 upgraded. may need to top up ~$100) / $ 2000 / used-purchased Oct 15 2. Denon AVR-X6200W (new with 6 months warranty but may not be valid as i'm buying from someone not a retailer) / $1800 / brand new sealed 3. Denon AVR-X4300H (brand new official retailer) / $1850 Speakers. Below are all brand new from official retailer 1. Center Channel - Klipsch RP-450C / $ TBC 2. Center Channel - Klipsch RP-440C / $999 3. Center Channel - Klipsch RP-250C / $799 1. Front L&R - Klipsch RP-250F / $1449pair 2. Front L&R - Klipsch RP-260F / $1899pair 1. Subwoofer - Klipsch R-110SW / $999 2. Subwoofer - Klipsch R-112SW / $1199 Surround - Klipsch R-14M / $400 pair Ceiling - Polk Audio RC80i / $718 twopairs TDLR: Kindly requesting for comments / advice for the above setup, or recommendations for other speakers. Im quite open. Thanks everyone!

    Avr help

Need help with picking a receiver to power this set up I'm looking at getting later this year. I want to pick up: 4 - RP-280FA 2 - RP-250S 1 - RP-450CA 1 - RP-115SW or RP-112SW I've only ever used pioneer elite receivers, but I know there are other options out there. I do want one that has all of the newer capabilities with atmos, dts_x, and others. Should i I wait until the next version of hdmi capabilities come out next year? Thank you for any help.
  7. First time Klipsch owner, first time here, I really have to say "Why I have waited so long"? Seriously, I'm blown away by the quality of Klipsch reference premiere speakers. They are really amazing. I tried to do my best to set up a proper room, I did all the work by myself (really exhausted right now), now I think I need an advice. My setup: (2) RP-260s (2) RP-440Cs (2) RP-250Ss (2 pairs) RP-140SA (1) R-112 SW Pioneer Lx 59 (SC-85 in the USA, I guess) Here's my room (work in progress, as you can see) https://1drv.ms/f/s!AsSdrRzXuogk7Qppvjd-pgf_E3Ol [you should see the pictures, please tell me if you don't] Front right speaker is in a forced position (can't really place it elsewhere), other speakers can be installed where I want. Is the setup right? I read so many posts, tutorials, dolby faqs. Really hope it's right, but I'm completely open to criticism and suggestions. I did a calibration, I listened to some atmos demo clips, I think the only speakers I'm not 100% happy of are the front elevation speaker (back one are fine), as I don't get a true tridimensional sound from the front (it's more like a really elevated and full front sound, can't explain better). Should I try a different placement for the front 140SAs? Like a bit more tilt? How can I calculate the correct angle? Should I hang them here? https://1drv.ms/f/s!AsSdrRzXuogk7QsFRS1Aw0j2OBw3 Is hanging the FR elevation speaker above the FR main speaker a bad move (=not being in a parallel position with the left front height)? Should I return a pair of 140SA (or all of them), and buy some real ceiling speakers (like the CDT-5800-C)? [but I'd really like to save me the ceiling work if possible, and the back speakers are fine, as far as I can tell] Last option I have to consider, am I wrong about these front 140SAs, and everything is fine? Thanks in advance for your precious help.
  8. Hello all, I live in France and use Klipsch speakers for a long time, more than 20 years starting with first THX small system (It still used by one of my son). In my homecinema room, I have : - Palladium P37 for right and left - Palladium P27C for center - Palladium P27S for surrounds - R-15M for rears I will update my room by adding 4 dolby Atmos speakers. As my ceiling is not flat (it is like wave), I cannot install classic klipsch thx speakers like PRO-7502-L (due to 20° angle direction of sound with this speaker). So I plan to use PRO-7800-L-THX or PRO-6502-L-THX instead. I can install these two ones with a good orientation for listening. My preference is PRO-7800-L-THX but I cannot install it vertically as shown on klipsch web site. So my questions are : - can I install the PRO-7800-L-THX horizontally with woofer on right on on left side (depending on ceiling location, med/tweeter always near center) ? - do I need to modify it in anyway like turning 90° left or right the med/tweeter ? If PRO-7800-L-THX cannot be used in my case, I will use the PRO-6502-L-THX which can be installed horizontally. Hope you can help me on this. Best regards from France.
  9. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to Klipsch, coming from Boston Acoustics, which I enjoyed for the time being, but wanted to bump it up a bit. I am currently running a 5.1 setup and have been really intigued by the idea of atmos. So I was wondering, who's out there using an atmos setup right now? Are you using the modules to reflect the sound off the ceiling or are you using in celing speakers? Also, what are your room dimensions (mostly curious about ceiling height, vaulted or not, etc.) And finally and most importantly, what are your thoughts on atmos, are you enjoying it so far? When more content is available I will probably dig deeper into the atmos experience and decide if its worth it for me, but I just wanted to introduce myself and see what people were thinking about it so far. Cole
  10. Yah, yah, I know...Almost all of you have seen most of this already, but we officially posted the product pages, specs, photography and an introductory video. We genuinely believe Dolby Atmos is the biggest advancement in home cinema since surround sound. It's something you really need to experience to understand (although we try to explain it in our blog haha). It's probably the craziest/most awesome demo I have had in the 3+ years I have worked at Klipsch. The RP-280FA is a version of the RP-280F floorstanding speaker with Dolby Atmos built-in via an elevation channel. It comes in black and real walnut wood veneers. The RP-450CA is the matching center channel for this system that comes with those same veneer options. The RP-140SA is actually pretty cool because you can add it to whatever speakers you currently have if you are looking to implement Atmos that way. I actually just picked up a pair during an employee auction for my home theater (RP-260F, RP-450C, RP-250S, R-112SW). Of course, we still make in-ceiling speakers that deliver the Atmos spec. I get that some people are skeptical and that's fair...but, as we always say here, just have a listen. 11. Just wondering if anyone has actually heard a 9.1.2 set-up. Is it possible to do a 9.1.4 Atmos set-up??
