Refurbished… Denon has, right now, the x4700 refurb for $1499, x3700 $999, x2700 $699. All refurbished. Onkyo has the tx-rz50 refurbished for $1119, tx-nr797 $699, tx-nr6100 $639, etc Pioneer has the vsx-lx505 for $1199, vsx-lx305 $999, vsx-lx504 $799, vsx-lx304 $639 They don't stay on the sites for long. PS: To me manufacturer refurbs are better than new. They have been throughly checked and fixed whatever it was before selling those returns.

The Set-Up So, I just made the switch from the pathetic world of sound-bars and switched 😎 to A/V Receiver + x2 (Klipsch's RP-8060FA) Floor-standing Speakers (R/L - 150W RMS / 600W Peak) + (x1 (75W RMS/300W Peak) Center Speaker + x2 (45W RMS) Surround Back (R/L) speakers + x1 (150W) 10" Sub [taken from the Klipsch Reference Cinema Bundle]). All of my speakers from by Klipsch. We are going to use the system for both movies and music. Challenge: I'm looking for a solid A/V Receiver to connect my entire system to, utilizing the full capabilities of the speakers, but also being smart and cost effective. Right now, I'm thinking about getting the Denon X3700H + getting a 200W amp to connect the pre-out of the Denon receiver to. And all of these speakers are going to be connected using 16 gauge OFC wire and banana plugs. My Questions: What's the most cost effective, high-quality approach to accomplishing this? Is the Denon X3700H Receiver the right way to go? What amp should I purchase? Is there anything else I should think about investing into to that can enhance the performance of my system? Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated! Disclaimer: I'm super green into this field right now (like, 2 days in - 2 calls to Klipsch customer support and several YouTube videos of knowledge now).

Hello Klipsch fans! I've been asked by those following my home theater build videos over the past couple years to post a current and complete walk through video. I finally got around to documenting the completed basement build. It took me over two years from design to final build of what you see here and I did it all with my own two hands and it's been a ton of work. All my audio systems throughout the house are Klipsch so I thought it particularly relevant to post it on this forum. Here are some pics of the final areas as well as the full video tour down to the collectibles in my media room.

Hello, I recently set up a home theater in my living room. My system includes Sony A80J, Denon S750H and Klipsch Reference Home Theater Pack. This 5.1 system sounds amazing but I was wondering if it could sound better. I ran Audyssey and calibrated everything. Basically, my problem is that the surrounds sound too localized for me and would like a more diffused sound. The surrounds distract me from the content on screen sometimes and feel like it can be more immersive. I read that toing out speakers and adjusting levels can resolve these localization issues. Would I benefit from toing out speakers or facing them forward? Also, Are my speakers considered wide or narrow dispersion?

Lets face it: prices on heritage Klipsch speakers have gotten out of hand. I have 2 pairs that could sell for triple what I paid but I didn't buy them to make money so I will continue to enjoy them and maybe improve them instead of moving up the food chain because I cannot afford to. Its a free market so whatever someone is willing to pay dictates value.

Hello everyone, For those who are interested, I am unfortunately parting ways with my Dad's speakers because of their size I cannot move them with me into my new condo. Starting with the first pair which are the Klipschorns my dad purchased them from the original owner in 1984 and were made in 1977 based on the serial numbers. The Serial Number stickers are on both pairs of Klipschorns as well. The only replacement parts on the Klipschorns are a pair of Bob Crites Crossover's which I installed them back in 2016 other than that they are in original condition and in excellent working order. The second pair which are the La Scala's my dad purchased back in the early 2000's again same as the Klipschorns my dad purchased them from their original owners. Both pairs of La Scala's are in original condition and in excellent working order. The Serial Number stickers are on both pairs of La Scala's as well. I will list the info, serial numbers etc below as well as contact info for those who are interested. I am asking $5,000 for the Khorn pair & $5,000 for the LaScala pair or best offer. I currently live in CT, but for anyone interested in the tri-state area or on the east coast this is your chance. If anyone outside of the northeast area is interested, I will work with you regarding shipping. I know these loud speakers aren't for sale that often, and both pair's would be an excellent edition to your home theater setup so that you can enjoy them as much as my dad and our family have enjoyed them over the years. Hey everyone, So sometime back in 1997, I finally indulged and bought new Klipsch speakers for the home theater 5.1 setup I'd always wanted. They've performed admirably over these past 24 years, but times and interests have changed, and I'm looking to sell. Other than a few cosmetic issues on a couple of feet on the sub that you could fix easily enough, absolutely nothing is wrong with these speakers other than use. They were used in a smoke-free home and taken well care of. I believe I paid around $1,500 - $2,000 total when I first bought them, but it's been too long to remember, and obviously I don't plan to ask that much. But what would be a fair price to list these speakers for? Unfortunately, I just don't keep up with home theater much anymore and have no idea what I should ask for them. From the labels on the back of the speakers, I'm selling two (2) front tower speakers (KSF 10.5), one (1) center channel speaker (SC 1), two (2) rear channel speakers (SS 1), and one (1) subwoofer (KSW 200). Hi Everyone, I have just started to learn about home theatre I am planning to start building it with the 3 front channel speakers. Eventually I wanted to make it 7.1.4 Dolby atmos in future But I am not sure which speaker should I be going for considering the room size ( 10 ft. wide * 15.6 ft. long * 9 ft. height) Based on various reviews I wanted to go with Klipsch speakers but not sure which model to go for since there are various models available Please spare your thought on the speaker selection and AV receiver

I'm looking to upgrade from the reference line to the reference premiere line. Does anyone know if the Premiere line goes on sale for 50% or close to it through out the year??? Trying to get the best price, I was able to get the reference line for 50% off on black friday.

While they are remodeling my den/home theater, I’m going to get them to reinforce the ceiling, building places to mount 6 Heresy II, for incorporation into my home theater. First pair I want to go on modified bookshelves, where the kg3 & kg1’s are now.

In a predicament, warranty vs great deal. I have found a SPL120 subwoofer for sale for $300 locally. He has all packaging, but apparently damage occurred during shipping (has two corner dings) and he used for two weeks while waiting for his new one. The other option is getting a brand new R-12SW from Costco locally for $250 and it will have full warranty along with costco match. I've heard mixed reviews on the reliability of klipsch subwoofer amps and am curious if anyone else has had issues with them. Is it worth the difference in performance to roll the dice on this sub from offerup? Thanks,

Hi I just bought the below set of speakers and receiver, my receiver is only 100Watt. Should i buy a new receiver or should i get an amplifier. Please provide suggestions on wringing and placement of the speakers as well please. UPDATE: On Bill's recommendation, grabbed a pair of RP-160M on sale for $374. Looking for a 2-channel pair of speakers for my living room TV. Budget: prefer $200-$300, but willing to go to $400 max for exceptional value. Using a Sony STR-DH130 (100 WPC) SS receiver, which has surprisingly decent sound, but this is not an audiophile set up. I recently had my Klipsch Heresies in this role, and they set a standard I'm hoping to come as close as possible to: superb clarity, terrific detail, palpable but not overwhelming presence, good-enough bass. Now the Heresies are back upstairs with my McIntosh for music-only. I've had to put back my old Pro Media 2.1 with the TV, and by comparison it's like listening through a glorified boom box. Much of the clarity and most of the detail is veneered-over. Based on my reading so far, I would think (never having heard them) that the RB-5s would be ideal, but can only find one offering on eBay for over $400 w/shipping, and they don't have any grills (for living room, this is a problem). There's a pair in Garage Sale, but they're over 4 hours away, which is about 2 hours each way too many. (I'm in Western Massachusetts.) What do you recommend? I realize I'm not going to find Heresy-quality in my price range, but given that this is for HT use only, how close can I get?

Hi everyone, I've been using Klipsch products for around 15 years and love them. I finally got around to dedicating a room for my home theater and it's working pretty good. I went for an Atmos 7.1.4 setup. But I'm not sure I have my speakers identified or placed correctly. I don't know much about Auro 3D except I think it is not as popular for formats on many DVDs at this point. I was thinking Auro 3D and was thinking of putting a VOG speaker in the middle of the ceiling, but would rather concentrate on getting Atmos 7.1.4 setup properly. The image I included shows the general layout of my room. My TV is a Sony 75" XBR75X900F 4K, my receiver is a Denon AVR-X6400H (no additional amps). Everything sounds really good as is, or at least I think it does. For tuning / reference I use the DTS-Dolby & Atmos Reference Blu Ray's from 2016, the Atmos samples seem to place the sounds where I would expect them (at least I think it does) when looking at the visual video reference on my TV. So I guess my questions is: is it OK to have the SL/SR, RHL/RHR and SBL/SBR all in the ceiling? Should I relocate any of these speakers for a better or more proper Atmos experience? My seating is the Octane Bolt XS-400 recliners and are located about 11 ft from the back wall and they can't be moved forward. When sitting in my middle recliner I'm roughly 11 ft from the TV display to my nose. If I relocate the side surrounds to the walls, they would be further out by 6 to 7 feet vs in ceiling where they are located now. This is the only big change I was thinking could be possible. Thanks in advance for any guidance you may be able to offer.

Okay so this is my first post here - I have gone into the rabbit hole, and can't seem to find my way back up! I have a 13' W X 28'L X 7'H room that I am doing a 7.2.4 System in First row is 9.6' Feet from the TV and the second Row is 12.6' from the TV I am looking at the RP8000F's for the towers (unless trump sends me more money then I will go with the RF 7 III's!) and the RP504C for the center Channel (Again please Mr Trump send me more money so I can get the RF 64 III Center) Surrounds are either R-5600-S II , R-5800-S-W II or Pro-180RPW (I have cutouts for the Surrounds at 9.6' cause lets be honest that's the row I will be sitting in - so all Atmos / in-ceiling was calculated on this viewing distance) Atmos is either (4) CDT-5800-C II or the Pro-180 RPC's and because I don't have a good location for Rear towers or book shelves I was thinking of either the CDT-5800C II or the PRO-18RPC LCR's in Ceiling I have tried to future proof as well with the eventual addition of a mid or Center Rears and Atmos - so I guess that would be a 8.2.6? and or additional Surrounds (making it a 10.2.6?) Just not sure if the upgrade to the Pro's is worth it for the Atmos? - Also the Pro's don't seem to have adjustable Tweeter, and Woofer Angle? (And I am not really in love with the Look of the Pro's in ceilings without the grills - but the cinematic sound is more important) and the Subs will be SPL-120 or 150's (hey there is a sale going on!) This will all be powered with a Marantz SR8012 And an Emotiva XPA GEN3 Six-0 to power /bi-amp the fronts (and future ready for the RF7 III's and RF64 III's) *And my wife already complains when I have just my iPhone playing in the basement, so this will ensure I can't hear her but I am sure she will love watching movies there

I have (very reluctantly) decided to replace my old Denon AVR-3805 (I use Heresy 2s all the way around). The sound from the unit is astonishing but it's now 15 years old and those old Burr-Brown decoders are primitive by today's standards. I tried a DAC but that didn't work out. I've been a classical musician since I was a kid so I'm really picky about the quality of sound; if it isn't really good sound, I won't listen to it at all. I'll be connecting any AVR in 5.1 as I no longer have room for surround/back speakers. I really don't need a lot of bells and whistles like huge amounts of power, multiple zones etc. (I have those in my Denon but never used them). What I need is an AVR with the best quality sound possible, a good number of inputs and the best possible surround processing. I'm trying to stay under $1,000 (less if possible) so I'm willing to go used/refurbished if it can get me a better unit and if I can find a reliable seller. I would appreciate any suggestions regarding AVRs and if you know any good reliable online dealers, please suggest them! Thanks. I forgot to mention, my speakers are Heresy 2s which can handle up to 100w constant/400w peak (though I've never used anything remotely close to that).

Hello! I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I am also very new to home theater and audio equipment and have been really enjoying the process of this new community. Right now I have a 5.2 system in a very small 12’x10’ room. The sound is pretty good. I am using Klipsch R-620f towers for my Front L&R and the Klipsch R-34c for my center. My question is this: I have been looking to possibly upgrade to the Klipsch RP-600m for my Front L&R. I feel this upgrade in quality might be worth it from my home theater. Is this upgrade from the reference series to the premier series worth it?

Hi! I am building a home theater system (7.2), and time has come for me to choose a receiver. It should be mentioned that I am a newbie and learning as I go. From what i've gathered, its really important that your receiver delivers the right amount of wattage required by the speaker at the correct ohm. My system consists of the top of the RP line, and it would seem that every speaker are within their watt cont/peak at 150/400w at 8 ohm. My problem with this is that I can't find any receivers at all that even supports at least 150w at 8 ohm per channel, and these receivers are around the 3000$ mark. Am I going about this "Receiver-speaker-wattage"-thing wrong or am I just in the wrong price class?

Up for sale is a Klipsch SW10 II subwoofer in the black finish. It has a 10" woofer in front and a 12" passive radiator in the back. It works great, but I just don't have a need for it asking $100.

I currently have an Integra DTR 50.4 that is powering a pair of Palladium 17B bookshelves and a Palladium 27C center (my sub is in flux and I don't have rears at the moment). My primary use for my setup is TV and movies (95%) and then audio (streaming from pc, spotify, or phono). My audio guy is strongly in the camp that the Integra is not fully showcasing the speakers as well as some other receivers could. He's suggesting either the NAD T787 with the newest HDMI MDC installed or an Audio Control AVR-7 or AVR-9. These receivers are definitely a step up in audio quality from the Integra I currently have, but I'm concerned that they don't focus as much on video and thus I might run into problems (looking at forum posts, people complain of HDMI handshake issues and ARC issues). He is also trying to persuade me to stay away from some Asian manufacturers (Marantz, Denon, Onkyo/Integra, Yamaha, Pioneer) as he claims the audio will not be as warm. I don't have a ton of data points to work with from personal experience. If anyone here has insights on a suitable sounding AV receiver that will mostly be handling video and dialogue over stereo sound, I would be greatful for your input.

Last year, I purchased a 65" 4K HDR TV set, Samsung M8500 UHD BR player, Yamaha Aventage ATMOS receiver, and Quintet 5 speakers. I have a smallish 10x10 living room. Since the TV was hung just a foot under the ceiling, I added a speaker-mount bar, that attaches to the top set of the TV mount bolts (see generic photo below). I put the quintet center, and 2 quintet speakers, below the TV. I mounted the other 2 quintet speakers to the speaker-mount bar, either side of the TV, so they are about 2 feet below the ceiling. For the rear surrounds, I used a pair of bookshelf speakers I already had. Now, Fry's is selling the R-14S surrounds for $139. Should I place the R-14S in the rear, to replace my non-Klipsch bookshelf surrounds? Or should I put the 2 quintets in the rear surround position, and use the R-14S as the front height speakers? Will the R-14S overpower the quintets? I just want consistent sound, that won't make me go "there go the rears". The R25C center channel speaker is also on sale, for $124. Should I replace the quintet center with the R25C? Will it overpower/mismatch the other quintet speakers? If I replace the quintet center, is there anything I can do with it? The days of 6.1 surround sound are long behind us (I still have a Panasonic SA-HE200 receiver from the 6.1 days) I can't afford to replace all of the speakers just yet, so your advice would be much appreciated.
