Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum but have been a Klipsch fan ever since I had the pleasure of listening to a coworkers setups a few years ago. That being said I was given a set of KG2's that needed some love and I'm on the hunt for diaphragms and replacement woofers/ passive radiators. I'm sure the dust covers won't cause very much change in sound but I do think that pushed in diaphragm won't sound that great. If anyone has any leads to some affordable replacements I would greatly appreciate a heads up!

Looking to purchase a working, good sounding K9K woofer for my KG2's. I picked the pair up for free from a friend and they have been my first speaker restoration project. One of 'em has developed a persistent buzzing, though, especially in the lower frequencies, hence my WTB. I'd be interested in any other spare KG2 parts as well, but mainly looking for the K9K. Thanks!

I acquired a pair of used KG2s, one of which has a black midrange K-9-K, and the other a white plastic one that the previous owner indicated was replaced by Klipsch under warranty. Were there iterations of the K-9-K driver, and did they have slightly different properties? I've noticed that the original, black K-9-K doesn't sound right when I run a 30 Hz test frequency-- it vibrates much more strongly than the other and practically buzzes. Above this frequency (around 50 Hz), they're more or less comparable to my ears.
