  1. I have two pairs of Kg-4s that I'm considering powering with two Harman Kardon Citation 19 Power Amps. The Citation 19's can be operated in bridge mode so that both channels operate as one. HK warns against operating in bridge mode for speaker loads at 4 ohms since it may cause the amplifier's current limiting circuits to operate and distort the signal. The KG-4 is rated at 6 Ohms. If I operate both amps in bridge mode (one for each channel), but with two speakers per amplifier, will this potentially cause a high-current situation? The manual says each amplifier will deliver 3.7 Amps to a 16 Ohm load, and 6.3 Amps to a 8 Ohm load in bridge mode. If yes, should/ can I add fuses between amplifiers and speakers? Thanks!
  2. Hi, Looking at a pair of KG-4 speakers. Talked to the owner, had him read me the info on the label and it doesn't seem right - all that's on there is P/N - 090000231111 and S/N 9755 for one and 9756 for the other. Shouldn't the serial number be longer than that? He said no W/O number either so... what gives?
  3. I've searched and don't quite see what I'm trying to determine. So sorry if this is old news to many.... I'm one of those late 80's sound guys that put away thier system during kids. I'm now getting ready to pull out my old KG-4s (in great shape by the way) and pair them with good center, sub and rears. I'm mainly concerned about the center. I know the standard recommendation is the KV-3. But my questions are 1) I have a local KV-2 for a good price. Does it hold up OK with the KG4's or too small? 2) Speaking of size the current RC-42II fits perfectly in my entertainment center. But again is that too small? 3) Do any of the current series pair better with the old KG series? Now that I'm getting back into it I can see maybe modernizing some in a couple of years. And if anyone wants to throw out recomendations for sub, rears and a new AV receiver...I'm listening. Thanks in advance.
