  1. I am original owner of Klipsch KG 5.2 floor standing (asking $450), KG2 bookshelf (asking $300) and KG SW subwoofer (asking $300) speakers. Will seriously consider any offers. The cabinets are light oak wood and are in very good condition with very minor wear considering the fact that they are decades old. No holes or tears in speaker cones or grills. I have numerous photos. Local pickup in Wheaton - western Chicagoland suburbs. Please let me know if you have questions via sa.garland@yahoo.com
  2. Looking to purchase a working, good sounding K9K woofer for my KG2's. I picked the pair up for free from a friend and they have been my first speaker restoration project. One of 'em has developed a persistent buzzing, though, especially in the lower frequencies, hence my WTB. I'd be interested in any other spare KG2 parts as well, but mainly looking for the K9K. Thanks!
  3. Klipsch horn tweeter model K-71-H Fits KG2 speakers and maybe some other models. Works great. It has a few tiny dimples (see the picture) but works fine. $20 gets it (shipped Con US)
  4. Hello Klipsch community. My first post. I’m looking for k-9-k woofer to replace a bad one that went out on my KG2’s . Tried ebay but to no avail.
  5. I acquired a pair of used KG2s, one of which has a black midrange K-9-K, and the other a white plastic one that the previous owner indicated was replaced by Klipsch under warranty. Were there iterations of the K-9-K driver, and did they have slightly different properties? I've noticed that the original, black K-9-K doesn't sound right when I run a 30 Hz test frequency-- it vibrates much more strongly than the other and practically buzzes. Above this frequency (around 50 Hz), they're more or less comparable to my ears.
  6. My pair of kg2's still going strong after over 30 years. During a recent move, I lost one of the badges. If anyone has one or knows where to buy, I would appreciate hearing about it. me_vernon@yahoo.com
