  1. I was getting quotes from Cinema dealers on the cost of a new set of Jubilees and one of them said he needed to hold off because the Klipsch factory is revising the cost of the Jubilee because they have made some major internal changes this month? No other information was given. I thought it was odd to not give me a quote, since when do salesmen not sell? Then I found the updated web site. http://www.klipsch.com/pro/cinema/behind-the-screen http://e994010f48279d85b5d7-a0bc3fbf1884fc0965506ae2b946e1cd.r57.cf2.rackcdn.com/product-specsheets/KPT-Cinema-Grandeur-Data-Sheet-v01.pdf This is interesting; "The new KPT-1515 low frequency enclosure has been redesigned and affords the same frequency response as the KPT-MWM-LF, but is almost 1/3 shallower – making the Cinema Grandeur much more versatile in installations where space is limited.
  2. I'm Looking for 2-4 mwm single bins, preferably with k43 woofers. HPS singles are ok too. Thanks, Mike.
  3. Hello all! This is my first post here after lurking for some time. I have already found so much great information and I hope to be a contributing member of the community in time. I hope this is the correct place to post this I am looking to start a DIY project for a 2 way system to be used primarily for modern dance music. I am on the fence about going for the Jubilee vs. the MWM. Either way, I'm pretty much sold on having the 402 on top. What is a ballpark figure for total cost to build either the Jub or MWM system? What have others spent on their 2 way builds? I imagine there will be quite a bit of variance based on passive vs active, compression driver used, etc. but it would be helpful to get a sense of the overall range associated with the project. I will likely be on the cheaper side of the spectrum. I plan to go active (haven't looked into specific units yet) and maybe a JBL compression driver with a Be diaphragm swapped in. Thanks in advance for any input/advice you all can offer! It is much appreciated
  4. Met with fellow member DavidH to audition his awesome 5.1 HT on this past Saturday. David has K402s with K1132(?) drivers doing midrange duty on the L/R mains. This was my first experience with 402s. Wow. How accurate they sound and how wide the soundstage. David also has MWM clone bass bins(built just like DTEL'S I believe) on the L/R mains. Again wow, how effortless the bass sounded. We spent a good deal of our time together in 2.1(at my urging) so I could really take in the 402s and MWMs. The .1 was a Danley DTS 20, another wow, what a beast. Since it was all music(no movies) that things real potential was not completely demonstrated. David took some pictures of yours truly beside the Left main. I modeled my 70th Anniversary T. David's pix are from an Ipad, anyone feel free to rotate them please.
