I want to upgrade my stereo and have read great things about oppo bluray 205 players. I listen to 2000+ cds and have been told this would work better for music. I had thought of upgrading the front speakers, but the Rf7s are too large. I have a Marantz 7007 receiver with an Emotiva Xpa3 amp for the front 3 speakers. I have reference matched set of, Rf82,Rc62, Rs53 and a 350 watt rxd12 sub. I don't play the music very loud but like a warm sound. I thought of getting Ohm Walsh 2000 front speakers as the Klipsch speakers that are better than the rf82s are too big. Does anyone have any thoughts. The main use of the system is home theatre .

I don't know what I am trying to achieve. I am planning on building a built in cabinet on the other side of the room and am planning on moving my receiver, blue ray player, etc... to this area. The TV and speakers will remain on the wall that they currently are. I am looking at upgrading my TV to a newer Sony Bravia smart TV (I am not dedicated to this brand, just as of now prefer it over others). From what I was told from the sales rep, that these are Android based and whatever apps are available from Android are available on this TV. If that is so, I would be using Sling TV, Plex, Netflix, Spotify and couple of others that aren't as important. If this is capable, then I will move my Nvidia Shield and PS3 down stairs to the theater area. My thought was to run an HDMI cable for audio from the TV to an OPPO UDP-203 than a HDMI back from the OPPO to the TV for Video (maybe not all of this is necessary with ARC) Then run the analog outs to a 5 channel amp to power my mains and surround sound and the subwoofer amp to power the sub. The OPPO would act as pre/pro and Blue ray/4k DVD play back.

I am comtemplating putting my Region free Oppo bdp-93 up for sale... I have the original box and packing material, the unit is a region free modified unit that will play all region disks including pal. The unit plays all the top audio formats. I can post a photo later, but its just a typical black Oppo box in excellent unmarred condition. These units seem to be seeling in the 275-350 range.

Bought this used locally in Spring of last year. I sent it to Oppo because, after a month of use, the tray door wouldn't open. They fixed it and did a full post-repair diagnostic. I've been using it over a year without any problems with an HK 730. The repair paperwork will be sent with this unit. Oppo is very transparent with this issue. From their website: https://www.oppodigital.com/KnowledgeBase.aspx?KBID=16&ProdID=BDP-95 This is in excellent working order and 9/10 cosmetically. Selling this to help fund a second 103. $230 Shipped in Oppo's factory box via FedEx Ground, to U.S. lower 48 only. Comes with remote and power cord.
