  1. Hi all, Has anyone tried to pair the Bluesound Powernode N330 amplifier with the RF 7 III's? Have the results been disastrous? Or better than expected? I've clicked through a few threads in the forum, and my understanding is that the RF 7 III's shine with lots of watts... I think nearly everyone has concluded that. For context, I currently have a Bluesound Powernode (80 watts per channel at 8 ohms) paired to Polk R500's and for me, I love the sound. If anyone cares to speculate on the results of pairing the RF7 III's with the Powernode please do. As I intend on keeping the Powernode for a couple years (just bought it last month) and there is a no-return policy on the RF 7' III's. Blind purchase really.... Cheers any advice would be appreciated.
  2. Im not sure which cables connect to which ports on the circuitboard. can anyone help me out with this? Images below. I have two cables coming from the transformer. not sure which cable goes on which clip, dont want to fry the board. Thanks
  3. The Set-Up So, I just made the switch from the pathetic world of sound-bars and switched 😎 to A/V Receiver + x2 (Klipsch's RP-8060FA) Floor-standing Speakers (R/L - 150W RMS / 600W Peak) + (x1 (75W RMS/300W Peak) Center Speaker + x2 (45W RMS) Surround Back (R/L) speakers + x1 (150W) 10" Sub [taken from the Klipsch Reference Cinema Bundle]). All of my speakers from by Klipsch. We are going to use the system for both movies and music. Challenge: I'm looking for a solid A/V Receiver to connect my entire system to, utilizing the full capabilities of the speakers, but also being smart and cost effective. Right now, I'm thinking about getting the Denon X3700H + getting a 200W amp to connect the pre-out of the Denon receiver to. And all of these speakers are going to be connected using 16 gauge OFC wire and banana plugs. My Questions: What's the most cost effective, high-quality approach to accomplishing this? Is the Denon X3700H Receiver the right way to go? What amp should I purchase? Is there anything else I should think about investing into to that can enhance the performance of my system? Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated! Disclaimer: I'm super green into this field right now (like, 2 days in - 2 calls to Klipsch customer support and several YouTube videos of knowledge now).
  4. Hello. I have a Marantz PM7005 integrated amplifier: 60 W x 2 (8 Ω/ohms load) 80 W x 2 (4 Ω/ohms load) As I understand, the two speakers are 8 ohms each equaling a total of 4ohms. The RP-8000Fs each are “up to 150w” each. Obviously, those are general numbers and there are other factors. I have pondered getting the mentioned speakers. I want great sound but I am also not on a perfection quest. With that said, I am also interested in other similar amps that are in a similar price range as my current Marantz (was) with the same basic features. Obviously, power output is a consideration. Basically the $1k-1.5k range. —no receiver —no A/V —DAC such as the PM7005 has. I realize that it’s not stellar. —solid state —I like the analog and source direct features that the PM7005 has —I use a turntable, CD and computer/iPhone —I’m not familiar about possible Bluetooth features and what they add to the cost. If basically nothing, I would consider. However, I am fine with some sort of usb, including usb-c
  5. Hello all, I have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX system like this (amber Klipsch THX badges and power pad incorporated into one of the smaller satellite speakers). These speakers have produced fantastic quality sound, I have loved this system on my PC. It has apparently just lost power (while in use), the green light on the speaker power pad is no longer illuminated. The sound literally just cut out while they were in use, no electrical smells or any weird sounds, it was as if they were simply unplugged. I have always had them on 24/7/365, hooked into my PC. I've owned them for maybe 1.5 years, so not that old. I've done the typically trouble shooting - unplugged/plugged back in, restarted my PC, checked the Windows 10 "manage audio devices/sound" looked to see if the speakers bar was being colorized up/down as audio is played. All to no avail. There's no static/buzzing sound when I plug them into my PC, or that static/buzzing sound when you touch your finger tip on the plug end that goes into your PC. They appear to be completely dead. I plugged in an older set of speakers into my PC and those work fine, so obviously seems to be something with the Klipsch speakers. Does anyone have any tips as to how to trouble shoot this on the Klipsch speakers? It seems like perhaps a fuse has blown? I've opened up the subwoofer and taken some photos of the electronics (imgur.com gallery) It all looks very clean inside, I don't see any signs of any connection being burned or damaged and there was no electrical burning smell when it went out. Can anyone identify where the fuse is on this? I'd like to see about replacing that as the speaker system seems to be power dead. I'm obviously no electronics expert and only know enough to get myself electrocuted. I don't have any electronics troubleshooting equipment, either.
  6. New To The Community Hello Everyone: I wanted to know if the Denon x3400h has enough to power my setup? Aside from the x4400h & Onkyo tx-rz820 are my other choices for receivers. If you have any other recommendations on receivers please do. As for my current build I have Fronts - 160m Center - 250c Sub - r-10sw Rear Surround - 240s I know you lose out on some channels on the Denon's or so I read something like that. I'm currently running a Sony str-1070dn as my receiver. I know it isn't the greatest but I found it for 120 bucks a while back. Thanks for everyone's time & advice.
  7. I want to purchase a pair of the outdoor speakers and cant find anywhere how they are powered. Do they take batteries? Do I have to hardwire them? Do they plug into an outside outlet. Im sure this is a silly question but I honestly can't find anywhere on the site how they are powered.
  8. UPDATE: I've moved to the Chicago area, Lombard, IL. Price drop to $1,800 plus shipping. Thanks! Time to sell some extra gear, and I'm starting with my Anthem Statement P2. No issues to report, only one small scratch on the side of the amp, as you can see in the photos. I have an original box, albeit not THE original box. I'd like to make this available locally first, but I would consider shipping at buyers expense. Local is 54701, which is about an hour and change east from Minneapolis. Asking $2000. http://www.anthemav.com/products-current/model=p2/page=specs
  9. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but if I turn the R-15PM's off with the remote (puts them in standby mode) the bluetooth connection will refuse to work (and will only work after turning the speakers off with the hard switch on the back). The bluetooth light will also not turn on if restarting from standby, even though all the other inputs work as advertised.
  10. My ProMedia 2.1 system sometimes works fine. Other times when I power it up, it doesn't fully get there. In this case, the power indicator light doesn't come on and there is light crackling/noise that is not affected by the volume knob. Occasionally, the system overcomes its power up problem and finally kicks in, usually with a good low end pop. Again, this is not all the time, just occasionally. When it works, it works great. When it doesn't, it's pretty stubborn and won't power up until its ready. Thoughts?
  11. For sale is my RSW-10D what do they go for nowadays? 500? I'll do 500 or best offer on that one it's in perfect condition and sounds just.....well, If you're buying one of these, chances are you know what to expect lol. I have the original packaging also. my location is Concord CA
  12. so came across this. A 60hz harmonic line filter. what does it do? filters ac ? how? only allows 60hz to pass thru the filter. basically a giant low frequency sub sub woofer filter in design. does it work? seems to. trannies don't buzz anymore and motorized devices don't squeal at high rpms , so yes it works. this one is a 14 amp times 3 440V capable one...it can do three phase. but easy to adapt to single phase 120 or two 120 phases off of 220/240. main thing to remember is to wire as a sub panel....you will need to add a ground bar and a floating neutral bar. and put it in a box so your cat doesn't get electrocuted. duh...welcome to the new forum...pic wont up load..
