Since I have found the tubes in my new McIntosh MA352 to be excellent, I find that I do not need the tubes that I used in my McIntosh 275 and I am offering them up for sale here first before listing them online; wishing to give members of the Forum the first opportunity. These tubes are all excellent and tested strong when I purchased them. I was told by the vendor from whom I purchased them that they will sell for $50-$60 each if I sell them: Two Telefunken 12AX7 smooth plates, two Sylvania GB-5751 @$50 each. Finally, four RCA 12AT7 black plates that were purchased on the Forum $50 for all four. Frank Edit: KT88 and Amperex Bugle Boys previously listed are sold. Items listed above are still available.

Hi! I've recently added a klipsch sub (r-115sw) to my home audio system, and I was wondering wether to plug my sub and amp though LFE or a RCA Y-splitter. I mainly use my system for music and in regards to that, i've heard differing statements. Some say LFE is the best option for movies and RCA the best option for music. Others even say that for an untrained ear like mine, I wouldn't even notice the difference between LFE and RCA. So what i'm asking is, if my main use for my system is listening to music, should I connect my sub and amp through LFE or RCA? If any of you have any suggestions as to what cable would be good/compatible with my sub, I would be grateful. Thanks!

Seeking advice for converting HDMI (X-Box) output to RCA (Analog) audio input for home theater. I'm using a Yamaha RX-V861 AV Receiver but would like to use my older equipment to power my La Scala's (Harman Kardon 430 or Dynaco Mark III's) for better sound. My video can accept any input. Or suggestions on a better sounding amplifier that has HDMI input. I'm new to the forum. Thanks!

I could really use some help! I previous used Tannoy powered studio monitors in my Harmon Kardon 3490 connected by XLR to Male RCA cables. I plugged them into the AUDIO Pre-Out. Now I'm hoping to replace them with these Klipsch R-14s, but I cannot for the life of me get the passive signal to work. I used 16-gauge wire, stripped, twisted, and connected to the twists in Speaker 1 section, but nothing. I triple checked connections and polarity, tried banana plugs and everything, but no dice. Do they need to be connected to the PRE Out with a 16 gauge open stereo wire to RCA male? Is there such a wire? I'm so confused!

Comrades: I'm looking to expand the soundstage of my vintage RCA turntable and need some help. It currently runs through a single attached folded horn speaker, with low fi results. Should I go with solid state or tube amps? I've got some early stock Heresy I's, but would a set of Fortes be better?

Hey guys. I'm totally new to the whole stereo system thing. I haven't even heard of Klipsch till I picked up a pair of KG4s at a yard sale this past weekend. I've been doing research on watts and ohms, receivers, and set up but everything is kinda over my head. I need help but broken down real simple like. I'm not trying to get some perfect setup I just want to be able to play some music nice and loud without breaking something. So like I said I got a pair of the KG4's and I bought this old receiver RCA RK327C http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RCA-RK327C-HI-FI-RECEIVER-/221540828945?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item3394dcc711#viTabs_0 (pics attached) it has 120 volt, 60hz, 300watt, 2 channels. I hooked'm up yesterday and found out the right channel of the receiver is messed up it is low and kinda cycles up and down. Left is fine, that speaker was thumping pretty good. I get a little buzzy sound with some music not sure if thats the speaker or receiver. So since only one side is working I hooked both speakers to that side. That worked. So questions 1. Are the speaker and receiver compatiable, as in will something break if I keep using it? 2. I do plan on getting the other channel fixed on the receiver but for time being is having everything go to side messing something up? 3. Is that buzzing coming from the speaker or receiver? Thanks yall, remember please explain plainly. Also if this a bad pairing could you tell me the right kind of receiver to get. I like the vintage look and I'm not trying to spend much, again I just want to play loud without breaking something.
