  1. I posted my RP280 up awhile ago and have decided to keep those and sell this set I have. They are in cherry and I am the original owner. I bought these new in 2007 and they are immaculate. I am going to sell them for $800 which is pretty fair going by ebay prices. These are located in College Station TX and I do not really want to ship them.
  2. I just got my (4) RF7II's to replace my (4) RF82II's. I built the riser in my theater so tweeter was exactly at ear height of 41". The RF7II's tweeter is at 45-46" When using spikes. So I screwed in front spikes and Screwed out rear spikes to angle the speaker foward So tweeter was with in 1" (confirmed with laser) at ear Height. Anyone here ever do this? Do you think this could Cause any issues with sound? I am asking because all I Have ever done was raise a floor standing speaker never Have tilted one.
  3. 2x Klipsch RF-62 II Floorstanding Speakers for Sale! Looking for around $250 each $500 for both or best offer. They are adult owned, never abused, smoke free home and will ship in the retail boxes. I can ship anywhere in the USA. I will ask whoever buys these to pay for shipping. I will charge actual shipping costs, nothing extra. I get a huge shipping discount 60%+ off UPS rates. Speakers are located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Suburbs. I will attach some picture tonight. More pictures are available upon request. I can also upload pictures of the boxes as well. Thank you!
  4. Hi, I'm just about to purchase some Klipsch speakers but really need the help. I am planning on going with the RP-260F for my front left and right, and the RC-64ii for my center. I don't think I need the RP-280F as I will be buying 2 SVS PC-2000 subs to stand next to the towers so I don't see the point of the extra money spent on the 280f for the bass. My question is, that the center channel I have chosen - will it run well with the RP-260F? It's the same brand so I assume it will correct? I use my setup for movies and TV 90% of the time. If it makes any difference, the amp being used to power all these is the Onkyo TXRZ3100. I'm wanting to go for the premium center channel as speech is a big part for me and I wanted to make sure I get the best and the RC64ii is better than the 450c center speaker Klispch offers. Any help appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hey everyone first post here! Recently just purchased the RC-62ii center channel and I currently have the R-28f hooked up as a stereo setup for mainly music and have a pair of the R-15M stored away in the closet because I'm slowly working my way up to a 5.1 setup for more movie focused sound. So my question is will my RC-62ii match well with these 4 or will it be a problem that its the reference II series vs. reference I. It didn't cross my mind at first but then I read that all speakers should have the same exact tweeters for the right sound. Thoughts? Also, any subs that you guys recommend? if any component of the system I would be open to another brand would be the sub. so throw any and all recommendations out there. I'm currently looking at the BIC Acoustech PL-200 and the R-12SWi and R-112SW if I can find them for the right price (under $500) Thank you!
  6. Hi, folks. If the taxman is good to me, I can start building my home theater audio system. I wish to do things in stages. First up: the main stereo speakers. My priority with the audio system is on hi-fi music. I care more about critical listening of good music than on capturing the lowest rumbles of the passing tanks in Saving Private Ryan. My budget looks like it can handle something like a good used pair of Heressy's or something from the low end of the new Reference Series floor-standing speakers. I'll add a subwoofer and center channel later, but not right away. I'm think'n the vintage route is the best way to go. What do you think? How do the R-24's or R-26's compare the Heressy II's?
  7. The Reference towers are approx 1.5 years old. Perfect shape. Ebony finish. No boxes for these, so local cash pickup only (Auburn, WA). $500 firm. Actual pics available on request. The Quintet set is in great shape also. Bought used locally a couple years ago, but we moved shortly after I picked them up and the little system they were meant for never came to be. 4 sats and center only on these.. no sub. $150 firm. These are in their original packaging, so could ship them. And, although not my main focus to sell, I also have a pair of earlier SVS Ultra Cylinder subs (passive) with separate 1,000W Samson amp that I will part with. The room I'm in now will not accommodate these things. $700 for the pair with amp. Local only on these as well. Thanks for looking. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
  8. RP-450C has followings: Crossover frequency: 500Hz/1500Hz Frequency Response:58-25kHz; Does it mean: 1. Tweeter's Frequency range (1500Hz ~ 25kHz) 2. Inner 2 woofers' frequency range (500Hz ~ 1500Hz) 3. Outer 2 woofers' frequency range (58Hz ~ 500Hz) As illustrated in the attached photo. And do Voice/dialogue frequencies handled by inner woofers only ?
  9. I did a full MCACC Pro calibration after properly placing all speakers (5.1 setup), the Pioneer AV receiver detected surround sound speakers (RP-250S) as a large tower speaker ! Should I keep the setting for these surround speakers Large as calibrated or change it to Small manually? I know the RP-250S is strong and has deep bass. Need your opinions
  10. Hi guys! this my first post on this forum; I bought 5 days back a home theater 5.1 Setup with Klipsch reference premiere speakers (RP-280F, RP450CA, RP-250S & R-115SW) and A/V receiver is Pioneer Elite SC-LX901. I am glad that I purchased Klipsch speakers; they are amazing. I never heard such a natural sound like these speakers as well as the heavy bass of the sub-woofer. I bought Pioneer SC-LX901 so that I will upgrade my home theater after one your to Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 Setup. now my only concern is Do Pioneer SC-LX901 is best choice for these speakers since these speakers required 150W while the receiver is 140 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 %, 2ch Driven FTC) Please Advice me !

  12. I just received a center channel speaker RC-52. The right 5 1/4 woofer emits no sound. How can I diagnose if replacing it will fix it. Also, I also need the grill cover for this speaker. I am a newbie on this forum. Thanks, Dave
  13. Testing Waters: Klipsch Ref. Surround + Dual HSU subs - SF Bay Area Hello all, My wife and I are moving cross country and the cost to move and protect our system is unfortunately pretty insane. Looking to see if anyone is interested in the setup before we pay to move it. Klipsch RF-7ii x 2 - black Klipsch RC-64ii - black Klipsch RS-62ii x 2 - black HSU VTF-3 MK5 x 2 (< 7 months old - purchased in January) All speakers are in good to excellent condition. Original owner of everything. Non-smoking home. Never overdriven, etc. Would be looking for local pickup only; with our move and getting the house ready I don't have time to pack the speakers, too. Original packaging not included; never had a place to store big empty boxes. Looking for $3800 for everything. Located in Morgan Hill, CA, but could travel to San Jose/Mountain View/Sunnyvale if necessary.
  14. Hey Guys, I have a brand new in box Klipsch Reference r-12sw Subwoofer for sale. I won it as a prize from work, and its way too big for my apartment. Looking to sell, Local pickup preferred. Shipping is on buyer if they choose to. Let me know if interested. $275.
  15. The ever-popular Reference S4 & S4i in-ear headphones are back in stock for a limited time! These are dead stock, meaning that we won't make any more of these beauties. Oh and they're available at a reduced price to cap it off. Reference S4: [link] Reference S4i: [link]
  16. Hello, I recently purchased the Reference home theater system. R15M, R26F, R10SW but I did not purchase the R25C because that speaker will not fit in the front of my TV Cabinet. I have a 65" curved Samsung TV sitting on the stand and the bezel sits about 2" or so off of the stand. If I put the R25C in front of my TV it will block some of my viewing area. My TV cabinet has 3 sections all at 18.125" wide. I prefer not to mount the center speaker on the wall behind the TV because that would look very odd and I don't want to put the center speaker on the floor. Is there a comparable speaker in anyone's mind that I could get that would sound ok to match this setup? There are a few older Reference speakers that would work but I would have to find something used. Is the G-16 my only bet? I'd hat to get another brand because it sounds like the non timbre matching wouldn't be good. Please help! Thanks
  17. I have Heresy II's as fronts, RC25 center and R15M as back and above surrounds. The entire system is a work in progress, but currently my sub is the most dire to upgrade. I only have a 10" polk currently. I don't want to go to another crap sub, as I do plan on moving my current fronts to surrounds and getting either another set of Heresy's up front, or other large fronts, with a larger center over the course of this year. Any suggestions welcomed. Regards, Luther
  18. None of the statements below constitute an official Klipsch statement. These are my personal opinions and thoughts. Please treat them as such... I don't post a lot here (always lurking, though), so I'm not going to pretend like everyone here knows me. In short, I'm the guy who runs social media for Klipsch. I have been the voice of the Klipsch Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Google+, etc accounts for almost three years now. Anyway, in the thread about the big launch we're having at CES 2015, things got a little heated. I don't like to run social media way the traditional way - kissing every customers butt no matter what they say. BUT I do take great pride in being a far more transparent and open representative than you would find at other consumer-oriented brands. In that spirit, I would like to tackle a few subjects and many more in order to continue this transparency and openness. This is gonna be quite rambling and incoherent, but I just want to get a few things out there. I LOVE Klipsch...This is my life. This is how I feed myself (sometimes) and put clothes on my back. I spend way too much time thinking about all of this stuff and that is the same thing for 90% of the people who work there. I love coming into work and it's not like I'm getting rich off this job. I love what the company stood for and what it stands for now. We Love You...From my readings here, I think people are feeling detached from the company here - that we don't care about out. This couldn't be further from the truth. We always ask "Well, what are the forums guys gonna think about X?" Did our marketing drift away from you guys? YES. We admitted that and have taken the necessary steps to appeal both to YOU and the grander audience that we need in order to survive and thrive. We Need You...You want Klipsch to make certain products? You want Klipsch to make more stuff in the United States? TELL YOUR DEALERS! Screaming about it on the forums does almost nothing. We have to make a business case to make a new speaker and that means dealer buy-in. The fact about Klipsch business is that so little of it is done directly. We rely heavily on our dealers to move product because we simply do not have the advertising or marketing budgets to move tons of product on our own. Paul W. Klipsch...Not a single day goes by, where someone does not mention him or his audio principles. When Mark Casavant introduced the latest line to the entire company, PWK was in his very first sentence. His audio principles are literally drilled into us every single. The engineers and product managers are absolutely instructed to make products that stick to these principles. Heck, I even have four photos of him in my so-much-better-than-Chad's cube. PLUS, many of our new marketing initiatives are centered around him aka "Good Poop" blog posts, our CES 2015 audio museum, brand video, etc. As a marketing department, we are working closer than ever with Jim Hunter whose wealth of PWK knowledge is ridiculous. Jim takes almost every single visitor/guest on a tour of Klipsch HQ in which he provides in-depth commentary of PWK and his speakers. All of this is why I take great offense at some posters here who act like we have forgotten him or don't care about his legacy. That is utter horse manure through and through. Heritage Sales...Certain people seem to take great offense still that we make products that aren't Heritage. Come on, guys! If we didn't make Reference, we would have to lay off everyone. It's really that simple. No one, past or present, would/should/could want that. The ugly truth is that many/most companies would just shut down the line and move on. I know a lot of you guys recognize this already, so I apologize if it seems condescending. We would love to expand on the Heritage line but there needs to be a business case. It doesn't matter if someone from the past would be in charge. The situation would be the same. We can't just make every awesome speaker we think of, unfortunately. Made in America...Reading the above paragraph, one might think "Oh, Alex is a young punk who hates Heritage and just buys a bunch of Chinese-made crap." Deep breath! I love, love, love our Heritage line and Made in America products. I am actually saving up for Heresy speakers that I will surely pass down to my kids (if that ever happens). Oh and right now I am wearing a Gitman shirt, Flint & Tinder denim, Flint + Tinder underwear, and Chippewa Boots - all products made in America. The initiative with the Made in America blog series and partnerships with companies like Tanner Goods, Woodchuck USA, Imogene + Willie, etc is my baby and it's an initiative that has backing from everyone. We want to make more stuff in America. Even Vlad and the headphone team are looking for creative ways to get Hope involved. We'll see what happens. Heritage Opportunity...We have a unique opportunity to take advantage of a growing consumer segment - the hipster with disposable income. A popular trend right now is buying handmade and American-made products that, yes, are a little more expensive than the comparable made in China product. Our friends Tanner Goods charge $450 for their Portland-made backpack and they sell quite a few of them! It's quite remarkable. With our current Heritage lineup, we have a unique opportunity to target these consumers. We are looking for unique channels of distribution for Heritage that goes beyond audio-specific dealers. Heritage Marketing...There is a ridiculous misconception that we haven't marketed Heritage products at all and that's why they're not selling. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I don't know how many of you follow our social media channels or blog, but we talk about our Heritage speakers a ton. Also, be sure to check out the relatively new video we made for the line. Plus, our partnership with Classic Album Sundays is centered around the Heritage Series. If you don't know what it is, CAS is special listening sessions in certain parts of the world where you listen to an album all the way through with Klipschorns or La Scalas and a speaker guest speaker explaining the album. These events are great, but they are expensive, so we can't do it in as many places as we'd like. Klipsch Professional...We are making a new push with Klipsch Professional. We have great opportunities to grow here. You should see a lot of cool stuff coming through this department in the next few years. A lot of the growth will also be done behind the scenes. Concepts...Sometimes we make concepts that we aren't allowed to talk about with you guys. These can be Hope-built products that would certainly peak a lot of your interests. Sometimes, these get canned for lack of dealer support. Watch both our own and third party of the Klipsch at CES carefully! Chad and I are asking for permission to show you guys stuff, so we can drum up support for certain things, but no promises. Website Homepage...Our website currently features a bunch of products that aren't favorites here. That's because they are on discount and we have rarely ever done discounts directly through our website. It is an experiment. In any case, website hero slides will go back to our more heritage-y marketing that we all prefer on 1/1/2015. This industry is tough for high-end...Here's a little taste of the market for you. The average selling price for soundbars + bluetooth speakers dropped over 40% in only year! Isn't that crazy? We don't do the low-end market particularly well and we recognize that. In fact, we have recommitted to the high-end market. See this recent article from the Indiana Business Journal. Mistakes...We have made mistakes both in products and in marketing. There is absolutely not denying it. BUT I think everyone here is really going to like the direction we're going in both these departments going forward. Things have change SIGNIFICANTLY in the three years I've been here and I think, now, it's finally for the better. Soundbars...If you read the article above, you will know that CEO Paul Jacobs said "You can’t replace the experience of a premium home theater system with a sound bar.” Everyone here should be VERY happy about that statement and it's absolutely true. We are committed to superior home theater and two channel solutions. That's our bread and butter. That being said, our soundbars do sound great. I know from personal experience that people on these very forums thought they were hearing professional Klipsch speakers but it was actually a R-20B soundbar. So, with that in mind, let's not always scream and shout that these products can't possibly sound any good, please. No Voxx, No Klipsch...I can't go into too much detail but the reality is that when Fred Klipsch (who PWK sold the company to) decided to sell Klipsch, there were two choices - Klipsch lives through Voxx or it dies an unrecognizable death. I know many of you have fears they will run us into the ground, but, at this point, it is what it is and we ALL need to make the best about it. It's been what - 4 years? Time to move on. Criticism...Parts of this post probably come off as me being quite butt hurt and unable to take any criticism. Part of that is true haha! I should let more things go, but I think that also does show how much I care about this place. Anyway, criticism does make us better. It definitely does. That being said, sometimes this place can be brutally negative even when it doesn't make any sense. We need you guys to be part of the solution. Anyway, I hope this was worth reading in some way. I really hope it didn't come off as dick-ish or condescending. I know a lot of you recognize already what I just typed out. I am just trying to be open and honest. If you have any questions, fire them over. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Again, none of the statements above constitute an official Klipsch statement. These are my personal opinions and thoughts. Please treat them as such.
  19. Hello This is the first time posting for sale on the forum as CL has been no luck. Up for sale I have a pair of black RF7ii in pristine condition and a RC64ii in the same condition. I worked for a dealer that went out of business after 16 years and I picked this pair up from them. These are 100 percent A stock units with sequential serial numbers. I have only had these in use since March 2014. I unfortunately got rid of the boxes these came in as I never anticipated letting them go but a new job out of state has priority and they will not fit in the new place. I also have a definitive technologies reference suoercube piano gloss black 1800 watt subwoofer that compliments these very well, it too came from the store and has only been used since March 2014. And I do have the box on that one as it weighs in at over 110 pounds. I will include a really nice bello metal center channel stand with the center as well. I have been running the speakers with an Onkyo TX-SR806 THX plus 2 AV Receiver. Also For sale is my Mozaex Player2 3D Blue Ray Server. I will be trying to get the pictures up of all of this stuff as soon as i can figure out how to pull them off of my iphone. I would prefer pickup but may pack and ship via freight depending on location and distance. (I could pack well but I would hate to have the shipping company damage these beauties) Prices are as follows Klipsch RF7II and RC64II With stand $2200.00 OBO Definitive Technologies Reference SUPERCUBE Subwoofer $1100.00 OBO Onkyo TX-SR 806 THX 130 WPC AV Receiver $450.00 OBO Mozaez Player 2 Video server $2500.00 All of this equipment is in like Brand New Condition Thanks for Looking, I am Located In The Kansas City Missouri Area For Local Pickup I tried uploading and my pictures are too big, Email me and I can send you pics while I am getting these resized.
  20. Up for sale is a pair of black RB-61s (not IIs) in outstanding condition, with original boxes. The RB61s were only used for a short while as rears in a 7.1 Reference setup. Boxed them up and put them in a corner 2 1/2 years ago when I moved to an all Heritage setup. After pics, I put the speakers back into the original shipping box ready sell. (I did not want too . . . was saving them for a special occasion. Wife said, "But you do not have any other Reference speakers. And, if you ever want to buy another Heresy, the RB-61s have to move out!" There is a small hairline surface scuff (not through the vinyl) I tried to capture in a pic with flash on. The flash magnifies it in the fuzzy picture below. I just did not want anyone to buy them and say . . . "Hey, I see a tiny hairline scuff (not through the vinyl) on the top of the speaker when I shine a 3000 watt Halogen light on it!" Yes, I could have put some black marker, or shoe polish, or some other trick on there to cover it up. I figure that the new owner, if bothered at all, could elect to do that. Again, I never saw it until I took a pic of the top with a flash and then looked at the fuzzy magnified pic. Believe me, with little previous use, perfect corners, perfect cones, and excellent cosmetics (grills excellent too), you will not be disappointed. $250 cash for forum members; local pickup in south metro Atlanta, GA or $250 plus shipping . . . they are in their original boxes and ready to go.
  21. An acquaintance of mine contacted me asking if I knew anyone that might be interested in purchasing a pair of RT-10D. I've never owned any of the RT Series and have only heard one demo a LONG time ago. I want to see how they compare to my RSW-15 so I decided to buy them. My schedule has been crazy busy lately but as soon as I have some time, I will do some comparisons between Dual RT10D and a Single RSW15. Do you think that would be a fair comparison? To me, it's hard to tell because you have (1) Active 15" & (1) Passive 15" in the RSW-15 vs (2) Active 10" & (4) Passive 10" in the RT-10D. What are your thoughts on which might come out on top? RSW-15 Specs: 600 RMS / 2400 Peak Down to 19Hz 121dB Surface Area: 352 RT-10D Specs: 700 RMS / 1600 Peak Down to 22Hz 119dB with Single RT-10D 122dB with Dual RT-10D Surface Area of single RT-10D: 235.5 Surface Area of Dual RT-10D: 471 The RT-10D is designed to be in a corner so I'm thinking about leaving my RSW-15 behind the bottom right door of the False Wall and placing the RT-10D behind the false wall in the corners. Here is my prediction.....the RSW-15 will beat a single RT-10D but Dual RT-10D will beat RSW-15. Now when I say beat, I'm probably just talking shear impact. The RSW-15 is very musical but I've heard the same about the RT-10D series as well. Guess that's part of the fun finding out through experimentation. Visually, the finish on the RT-10D is absolutely gorgeous! Very deep, dark cherry wood color. Although they have a small profile, they are quite heavy for their size. The foam surrounds are very tight and thick. Unfortunately, everyone is in bed so I'll have to wait till tomorrow night to fire them up! This should be a fun comparison! Below are some pics for your enjoyment.
  22. I have a pair of mint RS3 speakers. I'm looking to sale but will trade for a pair of bookshelf speak
  23. Hi, I'm currently running a 5.1 reference setup with RF-82 IIs for the fronts. I'm thinking about upgrading the fronts to RF-7 IIs or would it be better to upgrade my entire system to Heritage speakers? If I did go the Heritage route, I'm looking at the Cornwall III or La Scala II. Between the Cornwall III and La Scala II, which is better? Also, I'm doing this upgrade for a 5.1 Home Theater setup. I watch movies about 90% of the time and sometimes listen to music. Please help. Thanks!
  24. Hello all, I have a RC-62 center channel and a pair of RP-5's for sale, both in good condition. They are located in central Illinois and local pick-up is preferred. I will be willing to deliver or meet up within a reasonable distance after negotiating terms. The center is the last piece of my first HT setup that needs to go. The RP-5's were a part of a trade. Both are in perfect working condition. Cones are perfect. Both have some small imperfections in the cabinets no larger than a fingernail. The center channel grill is mint. the RP-5's have pegs missing but have enough to hold them on the speaker. One of the klipsch logos on the RP-5 grills is missing. Pictures below, please PM if interested and reply to the thread with any non-price related questions. RC-62 - $300 RP-5 - $500 (pair)
