  1. Most of you have probably already upgraded from the old RC-35 center speaker(or the old reference series altogether, for that matter). But for those of you who still have the old RC-35 and have trouble with the sound quality I.E. muddy, scrapy, bad sound, I have found the error.(I don't know if the problem exists on the RS-35 or whatever they were called, the floorstanding one's in the same series.) After putting up with the terrible sound for way too long I opened up the speaker.(8 torx screws on the front) And what I found was that every spade-contact to the speaker elements was loose. It seems that the wire spade plugs are made of a material that is too soft, so it will create intermittant contact to the speaker element spade terminal when the speaker is vibrating. On my speaker some of them almost fell off when I pulled them. Solution: Unplug, turn off etc. amplifier etc before attempting this. Pull off each spade plug, and using a flat nose plier, gently tighten the plug before attaching it again. You could also cut the spade plug and mount a better one if you have the tools for it. After doing this a year ago I actually needed to do it again yesterday, so new spade plugs would probably be the best option. Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for anyone destroying their speaker, amplifier, loosing the warranty, killing the cat or whatever by following my instructions, but if you are capable of doing such a task as described above, you might get a better sounding speaker.
  2. Klipsch Reference Series speakers for sale, excellent condition, in original boxes, I have the original receipts. Items and quantities are as follows: RF-5 Floor standing Speaker 1 pair RC-35 Center Channel Speaker 1 each RS-35 Surround Speaker 4 each RSW-10 Powered Subwoofer 1 each
  3. I have a pair of RS-35's that I want to use as rear speakers. They need to be angled down but they don't have any threaded inserts. all they have is a keyhole mounting bracket. Does anyone have ideas as to how to mount these at an angle?
  4. Klipsch website indicates that the RS-35 speakers have two K-137 tweeters. I have three RS-35 speakers and they all have K-129 tweeters in them. However, they all show signs of being replaced. Most of these tweeters are blown and I need to replace. Anyone know the correct tweeter for these speakers, I find it hard to believe that all six tweeters were replaced with the wrong one, especially since they are from two different sources.
  5. Bought a used pair of RS-62's and they are missing the keyhole brackets. Does anyone have a pair laying around, I think they probably are generic and fit many different size speakers. They do have threaded inserts which would probably mount them more securely anyway. Any ideas on where I may find some brackets. Also, these speakers have very little low end sound and I don't know if that is generic to these speakers. They sound pretty "tinny" when I hooked them up to make sure they work. The RS-35's have much more bottom end to them
  6. Need one RS-35 but willing to buy a pair if necessary in excellent condition. Have two RF-35's, RC-35 and 1 RS-35.
