  1. Hi guys! I had this subwoofer for 4 days and yesterday when i played playstation, i heard a weird crackle and pop from the subwoofer. After that, it stopped working. There was a green light on it, but no sound. I removed the powercord for 5 minutes, and now, everytime i plug in the power this happens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=983QxAEIF3w Everytime, the element gets sucked in and the green light lights up whenever it does it. And it does this 3.4 times until it shuts completely off. No green light anymore until i remove the powercord and plug it in again. Any idea what causes this? Should i just deliver it back and get a new one?
  2. SOLD I've decided to sell my beloved RSW15's in search of even bigger / better. My 4 RSW15's have served me very well in my dedicated theater room and have been well taken care of. Looking upgrade to Dual SVS PB16's, or something from PSA or JTR. All are in perfect working condition. I have 2 grill covers: - Grill #1 has 1 peg missing. - Grill #2 is missing all 4 pegs and has some type of glue on the fabric from where the previous owner attempted to glue them back on. (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer - (SOLD) (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer - $650.00 (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer (Scratches on cabinet, few dimples on passive radiator) - $650.00 (1) Black RSW-15 Subwoofer - $650.00 Comes from a Smoke and Pet Free Home Not willing to ship unless you arrange for packing & shipping. Willing to meet you somewhere in Florida. Thanks, Michael
  3. Is there any subwoofer that will just work (plug in) to the existing Klipsch RM-15 Bookshelf Speakers that I have? I have the two of them connected to my PC and they sound fantastic, but they could use the addition of a subwoofer. I see a couple of lower priced Klipsch subs that would do the trick if they work. Does anyone have any experience with this? Suggestions are appreciated.
  4. The wife is tired of my insanity. My Belles are up for sale and so is my DIY subwoofer and amp. The amp is about 3 months old (Crown XLS2002) and the subwoofer box is about the same. The two Dayton HF15 drivers are about a year old. It all works swimmingly and will melt your eyeballs and earholes. I'm asking $500 for everything. The crown amp is $500 new, the drivers are $172 a piece new. If you just want the drivers and the amp I can ditch the box. I'm in Northern CA. Would prefer local pickup but am willing to discuss shipping.
  5. One of the spring clips on the speaker terminal (subwoofer) has broken. Are replacements available? Haven't found an aftermarket replacement the same measurements. Just contacted Klipsch support. Thanks.
  6. Hello! I just set up my "Klipsch HD Wireless 5.1 Home Theatre" system and the bass is really loud "out of the box" even when volume is set to minimum. You hear the bass more than the actual music, so it's terrible. I know this can be solved, but how conveniently can it be solved? On my other systems remote control I have + and - buttons for the subwoofer to adjust the bass, but the remote control of Klipsch HD Wireless only adjust the volume, not the bass. It's really inconvenient if you have to go into control panel on the TV every time you want to adjust the bass a little up or down. I want to adjust the bass in real time as the music are playing. Please let me know if there is any way I can control the bass, not only the volume, via my remote control, or if I have to buy a new remote control that includes a subwoofer-volume settings. Thank you very music in advance for any help!
  7. I’ve just purchased a pair of RF-7 iii’s. My Denon receiver is underpowered for these power hungry puppies. I work in pro audio and happen to have a Crown DCi 4|600 amp with DSP. They’re connected and sound incredible!! Obviously my amp doesn’t have a pre-amp out or any way to split the incoming signal. Looking for any pointers on how to better add the sub to this setup, instead of the y-splitter I’m using at the moment. It works, but I’m $9000 into this system and would like to know if I’m connecting the sub the smartest way possible. I googled for a pre-amp splitter but haven’t had any luck. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
  8. Hi, I am using the R-15pm with the R-112SW subwoofer, and I am wondering if I should use LFE when playing my records? I am so newbie when It comes to setting up the subwoofer. What should I think about? I am also using the Rega RP1 turntable and I feel the sound is to low when I am maxing it out.. When using bluetooth or digital source the sound is WAY higher. Thank you guys for helping me out here in the dark.
  9. Can I do this and will it improve the former sound or does the amplifier play too large of a role (plus I know the design for the 10d is very different)?
  10. Hello, I have a model # R-115SW. I purchased it roughly in spring 2016. I think I am just past the 2 year warranty mark. Anyway, the sub gets limited use. Usually it's turned off or in the standby mode. I actually have 2 of these subs connected to an Onkyo RZ900. The one that is malfunctioning is hard wire connected to the receiver. I have noticed that it has started making a clicking sound that repeats at the same beat /rhythm. This happens anytime the sub is turned on, not needed to be connected to the receiver or receiving a signal. Has anyone had this issue and an answer about what is causing this? The second sub is working fine and is connected wirelessly. I have had this system for about 2 years and never had any issues until now.
  11. Any tip on how to setup a subwoofer for best sound? On sub itself and in the receiver too?
  12. Hello all, I have a Yamaha R-N303BL stereo receiver I'm using in a room, with the intention of using the B outputs for outdoor speakers. I also have a subwoofer (K100-SW) for that room that I'd like to join in on the fun. The receiver has no sub output (obviously, since it's stereo, not home theater), but it does have line-out, and I figured that would be fine with the LFE/Line-In on the sub (which does not have powered speaker inputs). However, I had not considered that line-out was volume-independent - so the sub volume remains the same regardless of selected volume on the receiver. D'oh! I have seen suggestions of using the B output on a line-level converter, but I plan to use the B outputs for outdoors. I would rather not swap out for a surround receiver for a room with only speakers just to tie in the sub, and I'd rather not swap out the subwoofer for one with L/R powered speaker inputs that then chain off to the L/R speakers, if possible. Would it be viable to connect a line-level converter to the A speaker posts in parallel with the L/R speakers, and use that to connect to the line-level input on the sub? I have seen some on Amazon that are described as being for older radios to hook into a new receiver or something like that, so I'm not sure they're designed to handle this type of scenario - I don't want to let out any of the magic smoke that makes electronics work! So, is there a viable way to run the line-level input sub off the receiver's speaker posts alongside the L/R speakers, or do I need to exchange the sub for one with L/R speaker inputs & outputs? Thanks for any suggestions!
  13. Anybody heard the JBL Sythensis / Harmon Kardon Citation 5.4 subwoofer? Found a pair for $500 in ATL. Good match for the RF-7ii’s?
  14. I'm going to buy a pair of Bookshelf Speakers (maybe Klipsch R-15PM) and a Subwoofer (maybe Klipsch SW-112) in the future. I have the following doubts: The R-15PM are powered monitors. The website says "This highly efficient, powerful yet minimalist speaker engulfs listeners in their favorite movies and music. ", so i think they are good for listening to music and movies. But people say that Hi-Fi speakers are better for home listening than Monitors, because they add coloration... Anyways these Klipsch are intended for Home and not for Studio... What would be the difference? Also: Do Hi-Fi speakers sound harder than this Klipsch? Offering more volume, power... The monitors came with a remote control. This control has SUB+ and SUB- buttons, so you can adjust the subwoofer volume. Can I set the subwoofer gain (in the unit's back) to Max, and then use the remote to control the volume? I'll like watching to movies with the corresponding dynamic range, without changing the bass volume, a "flat response", but I'll like to be able to "boost" the bass in music, with the SUB+ button. What is the best way to do that? Thank You Very Much.
  15. I know the answer is YES! 2 subs are better than 1. But, is one 15” enough to satisfy the bass tooth? What I’m asking is, by adding a second 15” sub, does it give me 200% better bass? Or, by adding the second 15” sub, I’m entering into a bit of diminishing return, and only gives me 150% better bass. What it comes down too, Is it worth the extra dough?
  16. Hello folks, again new the forum, I was at a flea market and came across a sub-woofer by Definitive Technologies ProSub 800 cube, to my surprise it was acoustic suspension with pressure coupled passive radiator, I have a few other subs but for its size both being 8 inch and very compact in design, retails for $399 and got this for $75, rated at a true 20hz this was a great find. Does anyone own this type of sub and if they do, please let me know if you are as satisfied as I am with this sub. I will be using this sub in the bedroom because of its small footprint. I was surprised the bass radiator didn't have standing waves that would muddy the very lowest frequencies. Thoughts? , "With an Iron Fist and a Velvet Glove we are sheltered under the gun, in the glory game on the power train, thy Kingdom's will be done-and the things that we fear are a weapon they will use against us" Neil Peart-The weapon
  17. I'm trying to decide between the Klipsch RP 12" or 15" subwoofer for my HT. My room is 16.5ft long by 14ft wide by 8ft-10in. high. Primary usage in for movies, TV, and occasional sports. I have both a projector screen and 65" TV (TV sits in a cavity between the roll-up screen). The general rule is this forum is "bigger is better" but I have also heard others in other forums suggest that 4 smaller subwoofers (8" to 10") placed in each corner of the room would be better. Also would like to have your feedback regarding placement. I've seen designs with the subs in front, some with them along the sides and some with 2 in front and 1 placed along the back of the wall in a corner. Really confused.
  18. I have a beautiful RSW-15 in black available for sale. It is in terrific shape, has some minor scratches, one small imperfection, 2 missing grill pegs, and is otherwise in great shape. I purchased this subwoofer from another member in the forum and would like to sell it to another member in the forum to "pass it on." I have tested it extensively, and it works 100%. I added feet to this sub, as it came without feet. Some scratches on the bottom are there most likely due to the lack of feet. I did some light touchup on them in order to make the appearance as perfect as possible. The member who had it before me took excellent care of it, and I have also. It has absolutely no performance issues and plays loud, low and clear. Asking $750 for the RSW-15. I enjoy getting to know and meet the members here. Please be friendly! I look forward to creating a win-win here My track record is not long here but I am 100% honest and forthcoming. Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures of any part as needed. I am located in Chicago, Illinois, in the far north part of the city. Easily accessible for anybody, safe and parking is not a problem where I live. Cheers, Roboklipsch
  19. I have two Klipsch R-12SW subwoofers for sale for $300 each OBO. I am willing to negotiate price because there are a couple of slight scratches on the top of each one but they work beautifully. The original boxes and packaging are included. Please see image below.
  20. I just ordered a pair of the RF-7 III however I hesitated to order the R-115SW because I saw one interview on Youtube in the CES 2018 event and it appears a new subwoofer will be released soon for this pair of speakers, does somebody knows something about this?

  22. I have an older Klipsch KSW12 subwoofer. There is a wooden ring that lays around the speaker. It apparently is glued on. It isn't secured with screws or anything else. It's fallen off of the speaker probably due to vibration over time. I'd like to reattach it but I don't know what kind of glue to use. I don't want to use just any glue and have it vibrate off again. If anyone could recommend a glue and/or a repair method for this I'd appreciate it. Thanks..
  23. Hello! I just moved into a new place and I'm finally setting up my home theater again. My old subwoofer died in the move (It was almost 5 years old), so I picked up a new Klipsch Sub-12HG to match my Quintet. I have everything running through a Harmon Kardon AVR 1700. Everything sounds pretty good after running the Harmon's auto adjust setup, but I have no idea what my settings my subwoofer should be set to. I'd appreciate any help I have no idea what these buttons/switches do. Thanks!
  24. Hello Community, I have the sw-450 subwoofer and we just moved in to a new place so it's time to setup and recal everything, and I'm at a loss for the sub setup. My receiver has an auto-setup function with a listener mic, but how should I set the nobs on the sub? Should I be bypassing? Volume? I've seen a lot of mixed information, and I've even seen the "just experiment until it sounds good" suggestion. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? The rest of my setup is from the Icon series, so kf-28's in the front, ks-14's surround, kc-25 center channel. Pioneer Elite vsx-40 receiver. Thanks!
  25. It's for real this time. New couch means I can no longer hide these behind out current couch. A pair of custom made boxes 30" wide by 10" deep by 24" tall. Has a Dayton Audio HF-15 driver and the Dayton Audio 500 watt plate amp. $500 takes both. These things can be tuned very easily. They can shake your house of the foundation or give you some deep tight musical bass. I'm located in Rocklin, CA (just outside Sacramento) and am looking for local pickup or I can drive a little ways to meet half way ect. I am posting these here first and if no takers in a week or so I will put on the dreaded Craigslist or Facebook marketplace....Any questions feel free to PM me. Thanks Jeremy
