  1. For sale is my RSW-10D what do they go for nowadays? 500? I'll do 500 or best offer on that one it's in perfect condition and sounds just.....well, If you're buying one of these, chances are you know what to expect lol. I have the original packaging also. my location is Concord CA
  2. hey guys, i gotta sadly sell this subwoofer. i bought it as a package from bill when i picked up the cinema stuff. it currently sits in my living room and i love the sound of this thing. i have already told some guys that have been over locally that from 18 hz up this thing is about 98% of my dual svs ultras when i had them in the living room. just a fantastic subwoofer. its just too big for the room. it crowds the front so much that my mains are only like 5 feet apart. i just cant swing it anywhere else. and i really have no place else to store it otherwise i would hang on to it and hopefully it would work in the next houses living room somehow. also my wife is taking the summer off from college so we are on a solo income right now, which makes sitting on speakers for a while not very feasible. i have this listed on local craigslist for 1200 but i really just want 1000$ out of it. it would come with the crown xti 1000 that has been specifically setup for this sub by Roy Delgado.
  3. Ok, so I was recommended the Premier Acoustics PA-150 subwoofer. I received the subwoofer and I don't know if its just me, but I don't really like it. It is loud and does a good job at mid frequencies but it seems it really suffers on the lower end from about 35hz down. When it gets that low I don't think it sounds that good, a bit boomy and muffled - almost annoying. So now I am thinking about swapping it out, I have a couple models I have narrowed it down to; Klipsch SW-115 and SVS PB-2000. My mains and center are Klipsch so I figured the SW-115 would be a perfect choice, it also got some good marks but I haven't found an in-depth review. Just seeing if anyone has any opinions or experience between the Klipsch SW-115 or the SVS. I am after clean bass that is usable in the lower frequencies (18hz to 20hz) more than I am for a super loud sub with questionable bass. I am leaning toward teh SW-115 since my mains and center are Klipsch. Mains: Klipsch RF-62 II t Center: Klipsch RC-62 II Surround: Mirage (for now) AVR: Sony STR-DN 1050 Sub: PA-150 (for now) Thanks!
  4. I have no connection with Parts Express, but this has T/S parameters I've never seen in an 18 before. Maybe it could work as a horn driver? 294-2757 http://www.parts-express.com/prv-audio-18sw2200-2-2-18-high-power-pro-audio-dvc-subwoofer-2-2-ohms--294-2757 Resonant Frequency (Fs)30.95 Hz DC Resistance (Re)1.04 ohms Mechanical Q (Qms)13.32 Electromagnetic Q (Qes)0.24 Total Q (Qts)0.24 Compliance Equivalent Volume (Vas)7.95 ft.³ BL Product (BL)14.11 Tm Diaphragm Mass Inc. 5. I'm moving to Houstion, Texas! I've learned that moving costs money (who knew?), so I need to liquidate some of my toys while I'm still in Rhode Island. A variety of factors has turned this into a quick sale, so my prices in bold are all negotiable and I'll definitely consider package deals. These are for pick-up only. I am selling: Pair of RF-82s in black- condition 8/10, the left tower has two small dings on the bottom cone. ($500/pr) RC-35 in black- condition 9/10 ($185) Elemental Designs A3-300- condition 9/10, I had to turn it off when I moved to this apartment, it nearly got us evicted. ($300) Walker Edison "Everest" Component Stand- 8/10, minor swirl marks on some shelves ($175) Oppo DV-980H- ($70) condition 8/10 - SOLD! The Panamax M5300-PM pictured has been sold before this posting. I also have a pair pf RB-61s on Sanus stands and a Yamaha RX-V1800. I was planning on keeping these pieces but if anyone would like to make an offer on the whole set as a true 5.1 deal, please feel free. I apologize for the "heavenly glow" in all of the pictures. We have two HUGE windows behind the equipment and that glow is there at all times. These pictures were taken at dusk, if you can believe that. I can upload any new pics as requested. Thanks!
  6. I have a great system that I am very happy with. My system is built upon klipschorn with volti horns 2"throats and BMS drivers, plus a beyma tweeter I time aligned and put on top. I have crites 1526c woofers in the bassbin and have volti crossovers too. I am very happy with my corners as well and could go down to 40hz without much loss. I have a klipsch home theater sub, that is less than satisfactory in movies and completely useless in 2channel listening. That is why I decided to build my own horn subwoofer! I just need to fill 20hz to 40hz with as little as distortion as possible. I know it can be big, but I have space and no worries about waf. My initial thoughts are tapped or folded horns as I read they work better with khorns. I also like a full horn system. I have 10 feet ceilings so I can have a tall tapped horn with maybe one fold that would be easier to build. I am not sure which design would be more appropiate for utilizing my k33s though! I am sure there are lot different and better ideas. I am working very hard and only have Sundays and nights, so I cant build a few different ones and try em out. I am waiting to hear about your experiences and help! And if any day you decide to visit sunny Antalya, Turkey, you are welcome to listen to music at my place
  7. I recently purchased a pair of RT-10D's. I initially thought that the dual RT-10D's would have more output than the single RSW-15 but so far in my initial testings, although the RT-10D's provide plenty of smooth, low end, they don't seem to have as much slam or dig as deep as the RSW-15. These are not conclusive findings as I need to dial the subs in a bit more to make sure I'm doing a fair comparison. I will be posting my findings in this Dual RT-10D vs RSW-15 Comparison Thread hopefully this weekend when I have some time to spend in the HT. I keep forgetting we have a Subwoofers section so I thought I would share some pics for everyone.
  8. Looking for a powered subwoofer to go with my Klipsch KG-4's. Cannot spend more than ~$500. Thanks in advance!
  9. I have a pair of Klipsch KG 4s being driven by a marantz sr8500 and am looking for a nice sub to go along with them, primarily for music as opposed to movies. I'm limited to $600 or less; new, used, discontinued, etc makes no difference to me as long as they are in good working condition. Anyone have any recommendations or could point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! KG 4: http://www.klipsch.com/kg-4/details#specs
  10. Hi Everyone, I have a Klipsch subwoofer and four thx speakers, two of which have stands. I will be moving soon and am looking to sell them, but I don't know their worth. They work just fine, but due to noise complaints from my downstairs neighbors I haven't had much opportunity to use them. If anyone is interested in them or knows anything that you'd be willing to share about their worth, I'd appreciate the help. The subwoofer is a ksw 150 serial # ksw15-98270519 The Speakers are THX Thanks a lot!
