  1. Hello all, I have a pair of Tangent 400s and was thinking of turning them into Heresy IIs. I have large speakers in my main system and would like to set these up in a small bedroom so need a smaller speaker. Has anyone done this? It seems all the speaker/crossover parts are identical, so it's just a matter of a new cabinet. Thoughts on these options in order of effort? 1) Find someone who wants more bass out of the H2s that is willing to swap cabinets 2) Cut the Tangent cabinet down & install a new bottom & risers 3) Build a set using a Crites motorboard ($80/pr + shipping) + new birch ply. (Sell / donate Tangent cabs) The Tangents look just like these: cheers, Dan
  2. Tangent 400 available for sale if you're willing to do a cash sale with local pick-up in Colorado Front Range. Speakers are in really nice condition. No scratches, no pills on the grilles, no dings on the corners, no water marks from potted plants -- you get the idea. Everything functional. Includes the original boxes with foam inserts for both speakers. I am the second owner. Had planned but do upgraded Crites crossovers, etc. But a pair of Fortes got in the way. Photos and more detailed description available upon request: mercantile1957@comcast.net.
  3. I have read stuff on this website for a long time but this is my first post, so thanks in advance for any help. I have a nice pair of heresy II's but was thinking about having some tangent 400 cabs built and transferring the components of the herersy's to get better/lower LF. A) has anyone done this? B ) does anyone have the plans for tangent 400's (cant seem to find any online) C) if anyone has done this is it worth the effort?
