  1. I’m wondering which RP line of towers would specifically have the most timbre match with my RP-150ms that I’m running as surrounds? Currently for fronts I have the r-610fs which surprisingly sounded the most timbre-matched with the 150m’s than the 600m’s which I ended up gifting to my brother. The 600m’s had a significant amount of upper bass which made male voices sound deep, which isn’t bad at all (great for dialogue) but I prefer less upper bass for music, more of the beautiful upper midrange that Klipsch is known to bring out with female vocals as an example. Both the r-610f’s and the rp-150m’s sounded absolutely incredible and similar in that regard. I can also tell there’s more free treble detail inherent with the rp’s, and the bass also sounds more “accurate” to me. Which rp tower has this without the exemplified upper bass that the 600m has? Thank you.
  2. I have a dilemma. I have a set of Ref IV RF-82 and Ref IV RC-62 and a set of RS-52. My problem is that I currently have a Yamaha 3070 and set of RP-280FA, RP-450CA and the RP 240S and I need to get rid of one of the sets. I think I would keep the RS-52 and still use them as my sides or rears but have not decided yet. Would it be worth keeping the old or just go with the new speakers?
  3. I have a full home theater system set of speakers I would like to sell. They are brand new and still in unopened boxes. The set consists of a pair of RP-280FA in walnut, RP-450CA in walnut and a pair of RP-240S. I had bought this set for my upstairs room i am converting into a home theater but they are overkill. I need to go with speakers that will not take up so much space. I am asking $3500 for the set OBO. Let me know if that is unreasonable and we can work something out. I will ship and just ask for the buyer to pay half of the shipping.
  4. Hello all! I'm selling a few extra things I have sitting around. First off is a brand new in box pair of black RP-160M bookshelves. I got these as part of a bundle with some RF-7 II's and an RC-64 II but I already had a pair of them, so I don't really have a need. Asking $350. Can and will ship at buyer's expense. I also have a couple brand new in box WA-2 wireless subwoofer kits for use with the reference series subs. I bought a couple R-115sw's and they came with them but I prefer a wired connection. Asking $60 each, will ship at buyer's expense. Last but not least I have a pair of Cherry Polk (eww I know) RTi A9's that I ended up with as part of a trade and I really have no space for them. Plus, I'm sort of a Klipsch guy. No idea what these things are really worth, but MSRP looks to be $1500/pair. The previous owner either had them shipped or knocked them over, and unfortunately they have a couple dings in them. The worst by far is next to the middle woofer on one of the speakers, but all drivers are absolutely flawless. I have a couple pics to highlight the damage, luckily it's mostly covered by the grills. If there's any interest, I'd strongly prefer local pickup in Terre Haute, IN. Asking $600 for the pair.
  5. Up for sale is a pair of black RB-61s (not IIs) in outstanding condition, with original boxes. The RB61s were only used for a short while as rears in a 7.1 Reference setup. Boxed them up and put them in a corner 2 1/2 years ago when I moved to an all Heritage setup. After pics, I put the speakers back into the original shipping box ready sell. (I did not want too . . . was saving them for a special occasion. Wife said, "But you do not have any other Reference speakers. And, if you ever want to buy another Heresy, the RB-61s have to move out!" There is a small hairline surface scuff (not through the vinyl) I tried to capture in a pic with flash on. The flash magnifies it in the fuzzy picture below. I just did not want anyone to buy them and say . . . "Hey, I see a tiny hairline scuff (not through the vinyl) on the top of the speaker when I shine a 3000 watt Halogen light on it!" Yes, I could have put some black marker, or shoe polish, or some other trick on there to cover it up. I figure that the new owner, if bothered at all, could elect to do that. Again, I never saw it until I took a pic of the top with a flash and then looked at the fuzzy magnified pic. Believe me, with little previous use, perfect corners, perfect cones, and excellent cosmetics (grills excellent too), you will not be disappointed. $250 cash for forum members; local pickup in south metro Atlanta, GA or $250 plus shipping . . . they are in their original boxes and ready to go.
