  1. From the album: Paladin's System Album

So I finally popped for a 4K 65" Sony XBR65x900f to bring the gaming rig up to modern spec in advance of the next generation of consoles. However, I've had my flagship Reference Kit just sitting idle and that just won't do. So I also pulled out the Icon Wood L/C/R and replaced it with the RF-7II pair and the RC-64II. Also put in an old Acurus 125x5 just because it was also sitting idle. So now I can't keep myself out of here. And heck yes God of War looks stunning in 1080p/24 in HDR10
  2. Hey everyone. I just upgraded to my first Reference line of speakers and am wondering what speakers to get for the rear surrounds to upgrade it from a 5.1 to a 7.1 system. My current set-up is a pair of RF-7 II's, RC-64 II's, and a pair of RS-62 II's. From what I could gather, likely matches would be to get either a pair of RB-61 II, RB-81 II, or a second set of RS-62 II's. Of course I started my set-up right about the time these things are no longer being produced, so I'd like to pick them up before they become hard to find. Any advice on which speakers to get would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hey all - Just had a newborn and considering going to in-walls to free up some space in the room and hopefully have some money left over from the sale. Would hate to see this stuff go, but we don't get to use the media room much, right now.Considering selling my Klipsch system. Purchased in 2014 and in great condition. Never over, or under, driven. 5. 90% of time I feel my RX-A3060 is a fine performer on daily tasks. Unfortunately, the other 10% of the time when I want some more extreme forms of music at volume much louder volume, I feel like it's missing the magic was contained in first Yamaha from the 90s. It's really hard to quantify without using flowery and poetic language. My current setup is as follows. Yamaha RX-A3060 2 Klipsch RF-7 II 1 Klipsch RC-64 II 2 Klipsch RP-250S 2 SVS PC-2000 It looks like the Emotiva XPA Gen3 might be a good match but it only has one professional review that I could find. I've also looked at the Anthem A2 even though it costs more. Does anyone here already have one of these amps paired with the RX-A3060? Are there any others that should be at the top of my list?
  6. Wondering if anyone is interested in trading these 1976 Quad ESL 57's (physically near mint/internally need attention) for some Klipsch Heritage line: Heresy, cornwall, lascala, belle, rf-7, chorus, forte, etc. Winner of auction did not send payment/pickup again in eBay and had to re-list (again 4/19), but open to trades/ offers. Im here in Miami, Florida 33190, if anyone interested let me know. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1976-Quad-ESL-57-Black-Maple-IN-FLORIDA-NO-SHIPPING-/152061169875?
  7. Hi everyone, I have the RF-7 II towers from klipsch and I really like them. I've tested them vs many other speakers and while the RF-7 is not perfect it is the best speaker for us because: Pros: 1) It's really loud. Much louder than any other speaker we've heard and it manages to be loud without noticeable distortion. When testing them I played them so loud I had to take cover behind the couch sometimes! 2) The horn tweeter sends sound everywhere. I find it's soundstage to be massive. 3) While it does not have the most bass we've heard (Martin Logan 60XT had the most bass) it is the 2nd best and it manages to put out lots of bass cleanly at high volumes. 4) My wife calls it the "Party Speaker". I ask her what does she mean by that and she replies "If you want to have a party that's the speaker"... Ok, so she likes them. I like them too To be fair, here are the cons of the RF-7 II. Cons: 1) The plastic glued on feet have fallen off my new RF-7 II speakers! I can easily reglue them and this only happened since I was testing them and moving them around our carpetted room. 2) The high frequency tweeter while detailed, loud, and bright, does sound a little less refined and slightly "staticy" to me when I'm comparing it against other speakers e.g., Martin Logan 60XT and the SVS Ultra tower 3) It would have been nice to have a magnetic speaker grill That being said they're really good and I think they are great as Front speakers in a large room that needs volume. I'm wondering if other people have similar feedback on the RF-7 IIs? Is there a better speaker in the Klipsch lineup than the RF-7 II for a large home theater? Thanks so much everyone, Prem
  8. Hi, I'm currently running a 5.1 reference setup with RF-82 IIs for the fronts. I'm thinking about upgrading the fronts to RF-7 IIs or would it be better to upgrade my entire system to Heritage speakers? If I did go the Heritage route, I'm looking at the Cornwall III or La Scala II. Between the Cornwall III and La Scala II, which is better? Also, I'm doing this upgrade for a 5.1 Home Theater setup. I watch movies about 90% of the time and sometimes listen to music. Please help. Thanks!
