  1. I posted this yesterday in the General Questions Section, but this might be the right place for what I'm asking: After hearing some Heresy 1's at a buddy house a year or so ago,I knew I had to get me a pair. I also wanted a pair in good cosmetic condition. After watching Ebay for quite sometime I found a pair described as all original with nothing ever done to them. Their cosmetic condition turned out to be 99.95% Mint. Like new. A great find. But somehow they don't sound near as good as the ones my buddy had, which he no longer does. He sold them to his brother out of state. Anyhow, I know my receiver is quite a bit better than the one he had. My CD player is also much better. I'm even listening to the very same CD/music. His speakers sounded better. I can only think of two things that could be making the difference. One being the difference in the acoustics of the two different rooms. The other would be my speakers may need some type of work. I am new to the Heresy's but I've read that maybe the crossovers could be part of the problem. I don't know. Don't get me wrong, they do sound good, but far from great. As for as his speakers, I do not know if they were all original such as mine. I do not know if any work was ever done on his. So, any thoughts?? Help Welcome..

    R-28F

I have a pair of R-28F’s which has served me well. Suddenly I don’t get any sound from both horns. I tried speakers on a different receiver and same thing happened. Tested both horns individually and they work just fine. I’m beating myself up. Please help me solve this.
  3. Hello, I just received a pair of RP6000F from an authorized online dealer of Klipsch. I unwrapped them and noticed that one of the speaker on one of the towers have some adhesive between the crease of Speaker and the wooden body. I thought it is just residual that i can clean up but its stuck there. I have attached some pictures to show what I am talking about. I haven't switched it on because I am afraid of damaging anything if this adhesive is a sign that speaker is not placed correctly or is this just an aesthetic issue. So not sure what I am suppose to do: Is there a safe way to remove the adhesive? Will it impact the sound quality ? is that just an asthetic issue that I can safely ignore or I should plan on returning the floor stander. Will appreciate your help on this

I have not been on for a while. The forum has become like so many others. Arguments, nasty comments, no respect for others, getting off topic. I love Klipsch speakers, but there are others out there just as good for the same and better prices. Everyone hears different. Everyone likes different music , at different levels and so on. I have owned so many types of speakers and agree Klipsch are in the top line up, but there are others just as good, again same price range. You enjoy what you enjoy, melted or not good is good. I wish everyone good health and the very best in all your endeavors. I,m gone.
  5. Hello all. I have a pair of Heresy III. I got them on a recommendation from Crutchfield. They sound like they are playing through a mattress. Or missing sound at times. I have a Scott Stereomaster 340B Receiver & Music Hall 5.3 turntable. Speakers are placed on the floor. What can I do to make these sound better? Such a bummer
  6. Theoretically movies *should* sound better on Blu Ray than on DVD, but have you ever found the reverse to be true? We watched the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy over the weekend to test out the Heresy HIP mains + center channel. So many scenes now pack a wallop it's unbelievable. That said, the voice tracks, organic sound effects and even some of the LFE's seem to sound more natural with more fullness, on DVD than on Blu Ray. Is it possible that Blu Ray tracks are more compressed? FWIW, our setup is: Yamaha RX-A3000 (HDMI) Oppo BDP-93 (HDMI) Panasonic VT-50 plasma (HDMI) Klipsch Heresy HIP 1 (left, right & center) KG 3.5 (rear surrounds) Hsu Research VTF-3 Mk IV sub Just curious if anyone else has noticed this. Thanks!

  8. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Klipsch Sub 12 Subwoofer (at least I think; it looks exactly like this: http://www.klipsch.com/sub-12-subwoofer/details). I'm looking to install a custom TV wall cabinet set up for my home theater. Ideally, I would place my subwoofer inside a cabinet with a mesh door; however, mine is a down-firing subwoofer. Does anyone know if I can still put my subwoofer inside and get good bass quality? Because it's down firing, do I have to have an opening at the bottom of my sub so that the bass will come through? Thanks!
