  1. Hello! Was gonna see if I could get some help. I’m looking at getting these speakers and I am completely lost on what receiver I should get. (Think I’ve narrowed it down to Yamaha) Also, does the combo of speakers work well together or would you recommend something different? How would y’all recommend setting them up for best surround sound experience? This will be mostly for movies and sports. The area they are they will be has a wall running down one side and opens up on the other side and back. (1) Pair of Klipsch RP-260F Floorstanding Loudspeakers (1) Pair of Klipsch RP-160M Monitor Speakers (1) Klipsch RP-440C Center Channel Speaker (2) Klipsch R-112SW 12-Inch Powered Subwoofers thanks for your help!
  2. Have been emailing with a Klipsch representative, and he informed me that the RP-250S is basically taking the place of the RS-42III. It would pair best with the RF-7III’s and RC-64III. He he explained this is due to the rubberized tweeter material. Hope this info helps y’all.
  3. So I am trying to figure out what to finish up my 7.2 home theater with. I have a pair of RF-7 II's, RC-64II's, RP-250s' (surround sides), and deciding between my already owned RB-61II's or another pair of RP-250's. I've read direct radiating speakers are the choice of many enthusiasts such as THX for surround back speakers. Aesthetically I'd also prefer the RP-250s' because the colums will be built 'around' the RP-250s in a trapezoidal way. Please let me know your thoughts and opinions. Thanks.
  4. Howdy everyone! Please forgive any layman's terms, or face-palming I might cause. I'm new to all this. I've decided to invest in a decent speaker system. Right now I'm using some cheap Sony bookshelves I bought back in high school, a cheap Polk center channel, and some hand-me-down towers. All powered by a Pioneer VSX-552 700W 5.1 amp I bought a couple years ago. I got a new job and want to upgrade, as I really like movies and very much love music. However, I can't drop the kind of cash all at once for what I want. I've got 2 RP-280F's on the way, and eventually want to build up to a Reference Premiere 7.1 or 7.2 system consisting of 4 RP-280F's - 2 in front, 2 in back 1 RP-450C - Center channel obviously 2 RP-250S's - directly left and right 1-2 R-115SW - as there isn't a RP sub (*sigh*) Some sort of receiver to be purchased later when I'll have the components to warrant the need of a 7.1/7.2 receiver. I don't know if I want to do an Atmos system, but can add the elevation speakers later if I want; don't think I will. My question is this: WHAT DO I BUY NEXT!?!?!?????? I was thinking the center channel, as I can still use my dad's towers (hand-me-downs) for the back L & R. Then the sub, then the other 2 RP-280F's, then finally the 2 RP-250's and the 7.1 receiver to finish it off. FYI, my dad's hand-me-downs are 2 Synergistics S-62's. They're very decent speakers, but I think the Klipsch's will show them up. I would love any kind of advice or input the community here might offer. I'm worried that I'm missing something obvious, and it will come back to bite me in the butt. THANKS IN ADVANCE!! - Joe
  5. I've been full of ideas (and possibly something else) all day today, so at the risk of making a fool out of myself I'm throwing this one out to the forum & lurkers from Klipsch Product Development: What if Klipsch were to make Heritage-series surrounds for home theater? Maybe it sounds silly at first glance, but think about it. How many forum members are using Heritage speakers in their HT setups? How many goofy, un-elegant ways have we tried to elevate a Heresy to ear level without creating a danger for small children and pets? Envision a smaller version of the HIP with heavy-duty woofer, horns for mid-range and tweeter, and porting. How cool would that be? If you can build a mini-LaScala for the desktop (Klipsch blog), why not something like this? I run a market research firm for a living, and would be happy to suggest ways to test which would be low-risk. If anyone's interested, that is...
  6. Hi. Can you help with with a commercial application please? I need a sound system for my coffee shop. I would like really good sound quality yet I need to be mindful of the cost and want to keep it simple. Here's the setup: * Space is rectangle shape, 1000 feet (roughly 25 x 40). All dry-walled. Polished concrete floor, flat 12 ft dry-walled ceiling. It's pre-wired with Fluid 14 gauge speaker wire in four places, two each along the 40' walls, about 9' off the floor, facing one another. Space has a 8x8 bathroom in one corner so speaker on that wall and parallel wall is about 4' from that wall. * I have a friend who has Klipsch surround sound for his house and loves it. He suggests four, RP240S speakers mounted on the walls. * I'm not an audiophile * I'm not sure where I'm getting the music from. I would like to create playlists as opposed to paying for a music service. Does this mean I use a USB, a CD, an internet connection? Don't laugh, I'm not up with the times. Maybe someday I would also use a turntable input for nostalgia but this may never happen. * I'd like to have "album happy hours" and other events where the music is more a focus than a typical coffee shop. * It would be fantastic if there was a reasonable used driver (is that the term - Ha!) that would be effective and affordable. I'm happy to supply missing information. Suggestions please! Thanks.
  7. In the spring I will be building my new house. I am looking for ideas/suggestions for a complete surround sound set up that specifically incorporates a turntable so that the sound will be throughout the main living areas - kitchen/living room/dining room. There is a local Klipcsch dealer that I personally know very well who will be installing the system for me but I want some real suggestions from people who love music, use Klipscsh and have incorporated their turntable into their system. I will be purchasing a Rega turntable (undecided on model at this time). Definitely interested in hearing about your set ups and product choices. **Meant to post this in a different category and can't seem to find out how to delete. Sorry!** Thanks J
