  1. I just purchased the speakers mentioned in the title for a home theater setup. I will be using it mainly for movies/games and have a pioneer elite VSX-LX302 receiver. i ran through the MCACC calibration and it set my front R-26F to large and others to small with 100Hz crossover. It seems a little heavy on the bass with this setting and thought I would change the R-26F to small but I can only set one crossover setting for all speakers. If I keep it at 100Hz, is it even worth having the floor standing R-26F speakers? Or would I have been better suited with bookshelf speakers? Any help with crossover or bass knob settings would be greatly appreciated! R-26F = 38Hz - 24kHz R-25C = 82Hz - 24kHz R-14S = 83Hz - 24kHz R-12SW = 29Hz - 120Hz
  2. I was wondering what everyone’s opinions are on the rf-82 ii as compared to the older Icon vf-36. I was offered to be gifted the Icons which I don’t know much about, but I instead wanted and purchased the rf-82 ii’s For $400 out the door. Everyone’s thoughts are much appreciated.
  3. 2x Klipsch RF-62 II Floorstanding Speakers for Sale! Looking for around $250 each $500 for both or best offer. They are adult owned, never abused, smoke free home and will ship in the retail boxes. I can ship anywhere in the USA. I will ask whoever buys these to pay for shipping. I will charge actual shipping costs, nothing extra. I get a huge shipping discount 60%+ off UPS rates. Speakers are located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Suburbs. I will attach some picture tonight. More pictures are available upon request. I can also upload pictures of the boxes as well. Thank you!
  4. Hey everyone first post here! Recently just purchased the RC-62ii center channel and I currently have the R-28f hooked up as a stereo setup for mainly music and have a pair of the R-15M stored away in the closet because I'm slowly working my way up to a 5.1 setup for more movie focused sound. So my question is will my RC-62ii match well with these 4 or will it be a problem that its the reference II series vs. reference I. It didn't cross my mind at first but then I read that all speakers should have the same exact tweeters for the right sound. Thoughts? Also, any subs that you guys recommend? if any component of the system I would be open to another brand would be the sub. so throw any and all recommendations out there. I'm currently looking at the BIC Acoustech PL-200 and the R-12SWi and R-112SW if I can find them for the right price (under $500) Thank you!
  5. My husband was a huge fan of Klipsch speakers. He passed away suddenly this past January at the age of 59. He had (and now I have) a pair of Klipsch Klipschorn Floorstanding Speakers that he has had since the 70's. We have moved those enormous speakers many, many times in our 25 years of marriage. He absolutely LOVED these speakers. Well I have to part with them (I live in an RV and am renting out our house) and need help selling them. I have no idea about pricing them except what I have seen on eBay and Amazon. They are in very good condition. I also have no idea where to market them. I live in Austin, TX and would prefer local pick up due to their weight. Any suggestions?
  6. The latest victim in the "honey, those don't match the new decor" discussion are these Klipsch KG5.5. Sonically they are great. I wanted to try out one of Klipsch's bigger compression loaded offerings, and the profile on these fits my space, but they have to go.Missing the floor spikes. A few marks to the veneer. A few pulls to the cloth. No show-stoppers. Come have a listen.$400 OBO.Trade options (+/- cash as appropriate): - Myst UK equipment like a tma3 integrated, or G-Ohm separates. - Wellard Research Studio Monitors
  7. Available in central Massachusetts. They're in great condition and have been used very lightly. Looking to sell of possibly partially trade them. See craigslist post. http://worcester.craigslist.org/ele/5208583861.html Feel free to contact me on here or via craigslist anytime. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks! edit: I am unwilling to ship them, so please don't ask.
  8. Hi there, Hopefully I'm not violating any rules with my first post being an item for sale, but this being a local sale should assure you that it is not a scam. Likely to be of interest to someone on this forum RF-25s: SOLD for $250 RSW-10: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/4766667713.html Not as likely to be of interest, but not completely off-topic Onkyo TX-NR808: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/4729211843.html Not looking to ship any of these, mostly due to my lack of experience in packing such large items combined with how OCD I am about packaging. If I were to ship them, I'd probably want to wrap each item in a mattress, and then stuff it into a large, fireproof safe. At that point, it would make more sense (from both a financial and personal productivity standpoint) to list them in the Craigslist free section. I'd also love to get feedback on prices. I think both items are priced quite reasonably, but I'm pretty sure that isn't going to change the number of lowball offers I'm going to have to laugh at from CL. Cheers, ~Alan
