  1. This doo-dad was kept, I think as a spare part for the 1954 Klipschorn that my grandfather had for sale in his shop. What's it for? (I inherited this and the speaker, but I'm not versed in the technical side.) Would this MID-T be a replacement part for something the speaker already had, or would it have been an upgrade? It's possible that this part came with the speaker and that whatever was shipped by University Loudspeakers was the upgrade and got installed in 1956. In other words, does the sales slip for a model MIT-60 match the object pictured? Thanks!
  2. We're downsizing and could be persuaded to part with the lovely Klipschorn mono speaker. This forum was very helpful in 2011 when I last considered parting with it, and I wanted to start here to see if anyone would be interested now. It sounds fabulous, even mono. It's in great condition, some crazing in the finish, original grill cloth. (Y'all got excited about that last time, hee hee.) Measurements: 31"W x 28"D x 51"H. All original, primavera finish. My grandfather Hagemeyer sold radio equipment in Mississippi, bought this for his shop in the 1950s, and couldn't sell it. My dad took it off his hands in '58 or '59. Local pick up in Plano, Texas would be ideal. If you can arrange packing and pickup from my home, that works too. Asking $1500.
  3. We are downsizing and thinking it may be time to part with the lovely Klipschorn. It still sounds amazing.
  4. Excuse me for my bad English. I possess 2 Klipshorn who are taken away one of the other one. I would want to connect a central (mono) Kplisch Cornwall III, can you indicate me the electric plan. Thank you
  5. I'm considering easing my way into Khorns one at a time, partly due to budget, partly due to space. Given the size of the cabiet, horns, and drivers, you'd think one of these would offer more range and depth than two conventional box speakers, right? So if I bi-wire two Channels into a single Klipschorn cabinet, how good wil that sound, and how much am I losing sonically compared to having two Klipschorns imaging together? If 2-channel out of a single Khorn is a bust, what about a mono amp with mono recordings?
