  1. Going to order a couple R-15M's for my rear speakers and mount them higher up on the wall. These mounts off of Amazon claim you just tighten them and the speakers stay in place, I'm not too trusting of that idea. Would I ruin the speaker if I put a screw on each side into the speaker or is that a no-no? I know a strap is an option but that would look tacky in a living room IMHO. Quick side note, is my choice of RC-62 II a good one for a center?
  2. Hi there At the moment I have a stereo system with two R-26F. I want to upgarde to a 5.0 and later maybe 6.0 system. For the two surround speakers i don't know if I should pick the R-14s or R-15m. I am sitting on a couch with a short distance to back wall (approx. 1 feet). The speakers will be placed at the left and right hands side of the couch near the wall. Which of these two you think would be the better choice. If you need any more information please let me know. Sorry for any mistakes in the text, english is not my first language Best Regards Andri
  3. Hi! I'm completely new to all of this, and would appreciate any information you all can provide I got a pair of Klipsch R-15M Bookshelf Speakers and it requires an amp/receiver, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions that might work best with the R-15M? (I plan to purchase the amp through Amazon if possible) Links would be helpful too! Thank you so much!
  4. Hi everybody! I’m trying to determine if the R-15m bookshelf speakers (that are 50% off right now!) would be suitable rear channels for my home theater setup. My primary concern is that my receiver may not be powerful enough to drive them along with the other speakers, and that I would potentially damage my speakers. The receiver is an Onkyo TX-NR555. The specs are here: https://www.onkyousa.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-NR555&class=Receiver but I’m having trouble interpreting them when comparing them with Klipsch specs. This receiver is currently powering the RP-150m bookshelf speakers as the front left/right channels and the RP-250c center channel. I’d like to add the R-15m as the 2 back channels for a true 5.1 experience but I’m not sure if I’d be exceeding recommended wattage for this receiver. Help! I asked for advice last month about how to set up my subwoofer and the advice proved to be super helpful. Thanks in advance to any advice you can give!

    Worth Upgrading?

Hello everyone! *ABOUT ME, SKIP DOWN FOR MY TOPIC* New to the forum, but I actually just got into Klipsch! My step dad has had the Quintet III for years now and he loves it and I admit it sounds damn good. Before I have what I have now, I owned the Polk Audio RM6750 surround system. It was a basic 5.1 channel with a small subwoofer. I used all of the surround speakers but never used the sub or the center channel. After hearing my step dad's set up, and with his Klipsch Sub10, I ended up building my own. It was during the time I loved building speakers, so I ordered the woofer off of eBay, bought a plate amp and port, and built it to the spec's of his. It turned out great! Also I custom built my center channel with speakers from HiVI, and crossover'd them. I had them all running through an older Yamaha 6.1 Receiver! Currently, this is what I have: Current Setup Klipsch R-15m --- Mains (2) Klipsch R-14m --- Surrounds (2) Custom HiVI --- Center Polk Audio PSW505 --- Subwoofer Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH --- Receiver HISENSE 55h8c 4k --- Television So overall, my setup is decent however there are some problems with it. I've been looking everywhere for a suitable replacement for the receiver and I've come up with nothing in my price range really. The guy is a beast what can I say! The sound is very clear, it pushes 140 watts at 8 ohms which is rare to find because everything now says "WOW 250 watts in every channel! *in fine print* at 6 ohms! So now reduce the power a lot to get the 8 Ohms. The THX certification is a nice feeling to have even though the speakers aren't, and just overall it's very easy to use. Problem being, I'm trying to get a little more modern. The Elite only has HDMI 1.3 I believe, which doesn't support 4K pass-through. My question being, what would be a good upgrade receiver wise to give me similar sound/plus having 4K pass-through? OR, I have been considering if I went with a power amplifier and a cheaper receiver to do the same thing while allowing me to get 4K pass-through. I have looked into Emotiva, Rotel, Parasound and so on and all of them are quite expensive of course for a 5 Channel amp. Is any of this worth it? Or should I continue just running all of my stuff to my TV then exporting through optical? Thank you for reading, hope you have a good day! - Josh

    RC-62 II pairing

Hey everyone first post here! Recently just purchased the RC-62ii center channel and I currently have the R-28f hooked up as a stereo setup for mainly music and have a pair of the R-15M stored away in the closet because I'm slowly working my way up to a 5.1 setup for more movie focused sound. So my question is will my RC-62ii match well with these 4 or will it be a problem that its the reference II series vs. reference I. It didn't cross my mind at first but then I read that all speakers should have the same exact tweeters for the right sound. Thoughts? Also, any subs that you guys recommend? if any component of the system I would be open to another brand would be the sub. so throw any and all recommendations out there. I'm currently looking at the BIC Acoustech PL-200 and the R-12SWi and R-112SW if I can find them for the right price (under $500) Thank you!
  7. Hi Forum friends! I just acquire on sale 4 R-15M that I would love to use them as surround speakers. Does anybody have any ideas how to hung them from a wall? These speakers I understand are not meant for that. In addition to that; those speakers are entry level or they do not perform as other Klipsch speakers series. Nevertheless, I would love to use them on a wall as surrounds. Any ideas? Thank you!
