  1. Hello everybody, my rear Speaker (Klipsch Rp-400m) arrived and i put them on my speaker stands behind the Couch. But than i remembered, my plan was to place a round basstrap in the left corner. Now i have three options: Wallmount the speakers (but then they would be a little closer to the wall and need to be around 15cm higher. Now they are at about 94cm height. The round Basstrap is 1m) put a basstrap on both sides and place the speaker on them (the right one wouldnt be as effective, because no corner there) move the speaker forward, to the side of the listening position, so that i can place the basstrap behind. (i think even now there is not enough space between listening position and speaker and then there would be less) (the canvas for the naked wall are already on the way) What do you think? Thanks in Advance
  2. Hey all, I have KLF 20 (Front) and KLF-C7 (Center), but no middle or rear for 7.1. Anyone know what the modern day equivalent to this series would be? Thanks Wob
  3. Hi everyone, first time posting. I am putting together a 5.1 system to compliment a 4k tv and had a few questions about picking speakers. I currently have a subwoofer and a pair of R-15m's as part of a stereo system that I want to expand into the 5.1 system. I was planning on getting a pair of RP-250s' as my rear speakers. My main issue is picking center channel speakers and whether I need to upgrade my R-15m's to something beefier to match the center channel. I was looking at either the RP-450C and the RP-440C, I am not sure if there is much of a difference or if they will be overkill with just the R-15m's. So my question is, which center channel would be more advisable, and do I need to upgrade from the R15's? If I need to upgrade, does the left and right channel speaker need to match with the center, or does it not matter? For example, would it be advisable to pair the RP-450C with the RP-280F's and the RP-440C with the RP-260F's or does it not make a huge difference? I am also trying to pick a receiver, but it is difficult to differentiate between receivers. I am mainly looking at sony 7.2 receivers with HD audio, are they all mostly the same, or are their certain features I should look out for on them? And one last bonus question, are the RP-250's better rear channel speakers than regular bookshelf speakers? I am still learning how they work. I appreciate any advice you guys can give me.
  4. Have been combing the forums for a few weeks now, and appreciate the time everyone puts in to help. I am in process of finalizing my speaker list and could definitely use some help with rear surrounds and subs. Below is what I had in mind and it seems from the forums, it is ok, but I was looking for the preferred option. Room is 18' x 16'6" in a basement. MLP will be about 36"-40" from the back wall. RP-280F (L, R) RP-450C (C) RP-250S (Side surrounds) RP-160M (rear surrounds) R-112SW (x2) Request 1) Keeping LCR same, what is preferred for the rear surrounds? RP-160M, RP-250S or RP-250F? The reason I ask is all 3 choices are within ballpark of each other after I consider cost of stands for the RP-160M Request 2) Is it better to have 2 R-112SW vs. 1 R-115SW? (having 2 R-115SW will basically blow my budget) Layout attached. The 8 boxes on side and back wall are columns. Thanks in advance for your advice!!
  5. Anyone have experience using Heritage speakers in a home theater? I am moving into a newly built home and planning to re-deploy my audio equipment. Planning to use three Heresy speakers for FCR, and a pair of KSF 8.5 I have as the rear surround. I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments about how others have used Heritage speakers in a HT set-up, especially for rear surround.
