  1. Hello! So the Klipsch R112SW is on sale at $399 and I am looking for a good 12 inch sub for my system, however I have heard that the amp gives out after a few months and I is faulty. So My question is should I take a chance with the R-112SW or go with the R-120SW or the older version R-12SW? 112sw has a max 600W amp while the other two have a 400W amp. A bit new to this stuff so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I’m looking to add an additional sub (sorta an upgrade) to my home theater. I recently bought the R120SW over the weekend on sale for 300 but I recently found a listing for a SVS 25-31PCI for sale and negotiated it to 150. I do a decent amount movie & music. My my current set up includes SR 5011 Receiver (but used as preamp) RP 280F with MM7025 separate am RP 250c (center) RP 140SA (Atmos) KF 42 II (surround) these three are on an Proceed AMP 5 with an R10SW subwoofer. I cant decide if I should return the Klipsch R120SW to buy the SVS 25-31 PCI. I do a good 50-50 for music and movies. I listen to all variety do music from hip hop to EDM to Vietnamese pop music & bolero. My living soon is a small room maybe 12x12x10, with 3 walls connected to another room on the wall-less side. That connected room is about 15x10x10 with 3 walls and connect to another room. (Hope that makes sense. HELP!!!! Ps this is my first post, new to forum and thank you for any help!
  3. Got these on trade and while they sound and look great, I simply need need money. A couple of the Woofers have minor dents/blemishes which I suspect could be popped back from the back side but are not that bad at all, really. Cabinets, baffles and grilles, however, are satin black and really excellent and look beautiful - an easy 9/10 in my book. As stated, I'm in Cleveland and located near Hopkins Airport in North Olmsted. I am willing drive up to a few hours to meet (if necessary) and am also available any time. I'll be monitoring replies and have more images if interested! Thanks for looking. Open to partial trades for guy stuff - tools, smaller sub + bookshelves, laptops/game consoles/general electronics, car repair stuff, etc.
  4. PRICE DROP 12/8 - Need to clear the decks so dropping the price of this to $85 plus shipping so I can get it out of here. I’m downsizing the home theater. Up for grabs is a gently used Reference series RC-10 center channel speaker. Very loud and practically unused. There is one tiny chip on one corner. Grille, manual, and original box included. In-person pickup (Boston/north shore area) but am willing to ship if the buyer picks up the tab for FedEx Ground. Asking $125 85 Thanks! Btw, I have a bunch more pics. Just drop me an message. (My main pic took up most of the allotted 2MB limit).
  5. Hey all, moving soon from house to condo and won't have room or ability to play loud music so time to package up my surround sound system and find it a new home. All like new sounding condition. Pair of RF-7s Cherry $900 Good exterior condition. All pegs except one on each grill. One Speaker has decent separation of face plate from main cabinet. RC-7 Center Channel Speaker Cherry $400 Excellent condition on outside. RSW 10 Black $400 Like New condition on outside See Craigslist posts for pictures https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/for/d/sherborn-klipsch-rc-7-center-channel/6788760669.html https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/for/d/sherborn-klipsch-rf-7-speakers-pair/6788750602.html https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/for/d/sherborn-klipsch-rsw-10-black-subwoofer/6788764874.html
  6. Hi All I have the latest Bluetooth over ear reference headphones and the plastic bracket that holds the bottom of the padding is broken. This is completely broken on one side and cracked on the other side. So its clearly either a design flaw, faulty plastic or possibly over tightened screws during the manufacturing process. Is any one else able to confirm the same issue? I am being told these plastic parts cannot be shipped out to me and that I need to return the product from New Zealand to USA, then also that they cannot ship a replacement outside the USA. This seems crazy considering its a simple fix, all I need is two parts so that I can replace them, a couple of minutes work and the problem is fixed? Can someone please help take this further so I can get this issue sorted. Product is only two months old.
  7. Bought this locally and tried to convince the wife to let me put these in our upstairs living room to make a real theater in the basement. She shot that down pretty quick. (1) R-5800-W II (used for center) - $399 MSRP (4) R-5650-W II (used for fronts and surrounds) - $349 MSRP Each (2) CDT-5800-C II (ATMOS) - $399 MSRP Each Total MSRP - $2539 The only thing i'm seeing missing is two of the machine screws. I'll try and fine some at a hardware store before I ship them. I also have all of the grills and hardware needed to mount. I may not have many posts here but I can get some references from very well known members if you want them. My Price - $750 shipped obo Feel free to shoot me a text. 816-728-9319 Thanks, Matt
  8. Hello everyone. First post. Recently purchased a new home and EVENTUALLY plan to build a dedicated theater and have 3 or 4 audio zones (maybe more) for music throughout the house. Would love some advise/ input on equipment. So far I have accumulated; rp280f, rp450c, rp250s (price matching @ bestbuy whenever frys or amazon went on sale). All speakers sit idle and have never been used. Was going to pull trigger on flagship avr but feel like it would be sad to invest thousands for a future paperweight. Also, given my "eventual" plans, I will need additional amplification anyway. So I thought a separate amp with a mediocre or used processor would be a decent start. Mcintosh caught my eye for thier looks and reputation, but am I crazy given the sensitivity of my speakers? I thought to start I would buy a newMc152 along with a used processors or avr then add from there. All comments & suggestions welcome and hope some has experience with pairing these speakers with mcintosh products. Peace & Love. Peace & Love.
  9. I would like to buy 4 Klipsch RSX-5 bookshelf speakers (if you only have one pair, I'm open to buying 1 pair at a time). I'm only interested in the copper and black finish, not the silver finish. Please let me know if you have any that you would like to sell. Thanks in advance for your time.
  10. I'm looking for some help. I'm new to the forums here and am relatively ignorant when it concerns to audio quality. My system right now is an Onkyo TX-8050n. I have this connected to a set of Klipsch RB-51 IIs, a pair Bose 301 Series IV, and a Klipsch R-10SWi. The Onkyo is being fed by a Yamaha CDC-645 CD player, a Technics SL-D303 turntable, and a Chromecast audio, among some other items. I use the Chromecast audio quite a bit with an analog connection (therefore relying on the Chromecast's DAC). I've been noticing that when I play the opening track "I was Glad," of Harry Christophers and the Sixteen's album A New Heaven, that I have distortion when the sopranos hit high notes. I listen to a lot of sacred and classical choral music, and there are other times where there is clipping and distortion, usually when the sopranos are belting out some high notes. I don't notice the distortion so much with orchestral music. At first I wondered if this was a Chromecast issue, but I tried the same CD this morning, and the distortion seemed to be even worse! The distortion is (it appears to me) in one of the Klipsch bookshelf speakers. Also, that same bookshelf speaker has a very small dent in the copper speaker (the woofer, right? -- see the photo). What do you think the problem is? Do I need to do something with the tweeter? Do I need to replace the speaker/woofer? Is the problem with my receiver/amplifier? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  11. Selling RSW15 and pair of RS7 surround speakers. RSW15...2 minor surface scratches on RSW15 on top less than 1/2" long. Speaker screen mounting posts were broken but repaired with epoxy. Works perfectly. $800 RS7... never used, one nick on top surface of one RS7 less than 1/8". $500 for pair
  12. Hi there At the moment I have a stereo system with two R-26F. I want to upgarde to a 5.0 and later maybe 6.0 system. For the two surround speakers i don't know if I should pick the R-14s or R-15m. I am sitting on a couch with a short distance to back wall (approx. 1 feet). The speakers will be placed at the left and right hands side of the couch near the wall. Which of these two you think would be the better choice. If you need any more information please let me know. Sorry for any mistakes in the text, english is not my first language Best Regards Andri
  13. I have for sale a beautiful pair of RF52ii and also an RC52ii. Pictures of both are available below. The RF52ii were purchased locally from a musician about 6 months ago. They are in near-perfect condition and I cannot find a scratch on them, cones are perfect. One one speaker binding post, one of the caps (red) to a binding post are missing. I purchased them this way and honestly it doesn't need it so I never got a replacment (which is about $0.50). Operationally perfect, cones and the rest are perfect. The RC52ii was purchased from another Klipsch forum member. In near perfect condition with a few minor scratches hard to even see. The foot was missing so I added a screw with a soft pad added to it. Which I find has worked even better than Klipsch's foot. I will include this with the speaker. Cones and the rest are perfect and it performs perfectly. Cherry RF52ii Pair: $350 Black RC52ii: $150
  14. Hey, I got the following setup and am looking to tune settings from AccuEQ Room Calibration RF-62II for front left and right RC-52II Center R-12SW Onkyo TX-RZ720 receiver Speaker impedance from the receiver settings is currently set to 6 ohms. The only other option is 4 ohms. The receiver crossover is set to: 40Hz for the front, 90Hz for the Center and 120Hz for LPF of LFE.
  15. Looking to add to my current setup, and I want to stay in the Premiere line. If anyone has the RP-250C or the RP-150M/160M for sale, please let me know and lets talk a price! Thanks in advance! -Craig
  16. Amazing interconnects designed by Dale Pitcher. Uses Jack Bybee's filters at both ends of each cable. Deep, dark backgrounds and stunning clarity. You can't beat these cables at this price point. On cable has two small marks. Looks like it may have come into contact with a tube and singed the techflex coating. Reasonable offers considered. Price: $725 shipped. PayPal +3% or FF. Local Pickup in NW PA available.
  17. I posted my RP280 up awhile ago and have decided to keep those and sell this set I have. They are in cherry and I am the original owner. I bought these new in 2007 and they are immaculate. I am going to sell them for $800 which is pretty fair going by ebay prices. These are located in College Station TX and I do not really want to ship them.
  18. I just got my (4) RF7II's to replace my (4) RF82II's. I built the riser in my theater so tweeter was exactly at ear height of 41". The RF7II's tweeter is at 45-46" When using spikes. So I screwed in front spikes and Screwed out rear spikes to angle the speaker foward So tweeter was with in 1" (confirmed with laser) at ear Height. Anyone here ever do this? Do you think this could Cause any issues with sound? I am asking because all I Have ever done was raise a floor standing speaker never Have tilted one.

  20. Hi, I'm just about to purchase some Klipsch speakers but really need the help. I am planning on going with the RP-260F for my front left and right, and the RC-64ii for my center. I don't think I need the RP-280F as I will be buying 2 SVS PC-2000 subs to stand next to the towers so I don't see the point of the extra money spent on the 280f for the bass. My question is, that the center channel I have chosen - will it run well with the RP-260F? It's the same brand so I assume it will correct? I use my setup for movies and TV 90% of the time. If it makes any difference, the amp being used to power all these is the Onkyo TXRZ3100. I'm wanting to go for the premium center channel as speech is a big part for me and I wanted to make sure I get the best and the RC64ii is better than the 450c center speaker Klispch offers. Any help appreciated. Thanks
  21. Hey everyone first post here! Recently just purchased the RC-62ii center channel and I currently have the R-28f hooked up as a stereo setup for mainly music and have a pair of the R-15M stored away in the closet because I'm slowly working my way up to a 5.1 setup for more movie focused sound. So my question is will my RC-62ii match well with these 4 or will it be a problem that its the reference II series vs. reference I. It didn't cross my mind at first but then I read that all speakers should have the same exact tweeters for the right sound. Thoughts? Also, any subs that you guys recommend? if any component of the system I would be open to another brand would be the sub. so throw any and all recommendations out there. I'm currently looking at the BIC Acoustech PL-200 and the R-12SWi and R-112SW if I can find them for the right price (under $500) Thank you!
  22. Hi, folks. If the taxman is good to me, I can start building my home theater audio system. I wish to do things in stages. First up: the main stereo speakers. My priority with the audio system is on hi-fi music. I care more about critical listening of good music than on capturing the lowest rumbles of the passing tanks in Saving Private Ryan. My budget looks like it can handle something like a good used pair of Heressy's or something from the low end of the new Reference Series floor-standing speakers. I'll add a subwoofer and center channel later, but not right away. I'm think'n the vintage route is the best way to go. What do you think? How do the R-24's or R-26's compare the Heressy II's?
  23. The Reference towers are approx 1.5 years old. Perfect shape. Ebony finish. No boxes for these, so local cash pickup only (Auburn, WA). $500 firm. Actual pics available on request. The Quintet set is in great shape also. Bought used locally a couple years ago, but we moved shortly after I picked them up and the little system they were meant for never came to be. 4 sats and center only on these.. no sub. $150 firm. These are in their original packaging, so could ship them. And, although not my main focus to sell, I also have a pair of earlier SVS Ultra Cylinder subs (passive) with separate 1,000W Samson amp that I will part with. The room I'm in now will not accommodate these things. $700 for the pair with amp. Local only on these as well. Thanks for looking. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
  24. RP-450C has followings: Crossover frequency: 500Hz/1500Hz Frequency Response:58-25kHz; Does it mean: 1. Tweeter's Frequency range (1500Hz ~ 25kHz) 2. Inner 2 woofers' frequency range (500Hz ~ 1500Hz) 3. Outer 2 woofers' frequency range (58Hz ~ 500Hz) As illustrated in the attached photo. And do Voice/dialogue frequencies handled by inner woofers only ?
