tommyboy
It's killing me that I have a brand new pair of B2's in the box. (No room for 7.1) I was thinking I would hook them up to the center, and have all 3 playing as center's. Thoughts? I know I could just test drive it, but I don't feel like taking them down if I dont like the sound...........
Joe Shmoe
I would think that you would not want to do this, as the center channel projects mostly dialog and you would want that coming from one source.
tommyboy
Ya, I figured as much; I just don't want the B2's sittin all packaged up... But I'm not selling them because I move a lot, and eventually I will have a room big enough.......
jamesV
Any chance that you can use them in another room? Klipsch in each room really sounds great.... [] James
tommyboy
I thought about that too, but I don't have an extra receiver laying around......... I may look on craigslist and see what I can findI
jamesV
It might be easy to find an older 2-channel receiver for cheap that way. Plus you can get to know the sound of different brands of receivers. Good luck.... James
tommyboy
I saw a couple on craigslist tonight. Might check one or two of eem out. I'll keep ya'll posted...
JJkizak
Try it and see what happens. If you like it that's great. If you don't like it then disconnect them. My center channel has the same gut busting performance as the others. JJK
colterphoto1
no no no, multiple sound sources for center = different arrival times and phase and comb filtering. ugh If you want a 'bigger' sound than your C2 offers, use two B2's on their sides with both horns together. That will approximate a C3 center.
tommyboy
I'm not doing it. I'm looking for a cheap receiver to push them with in my bedroom. I found an older denon on Craigslist for 20 bucks!
falcon20x
Don't you have a second zone on your Pioneer receiver?
tommyboy
yes I do, but I have no way to run the speaker wire to my bedroom
falcon20x
drill bit 99 cents drill $19.99 A job well done and the pleasure to have another set of klipsch speaker priceless
mizedog
Keep impedance in mind. If you daisy-chain too many speakers off one amp, you may burn the amp up. Example: two 8 ohm speakers equals one 4 ohm load. It's like trying to keep the same water pressure between a coffee stir straw and a McDonald's drink straw.
