jacoviii
hi i bought a rc52 can i use f2 or f3 for fronts
tommyboy
I don't see why not. The C2 and C3, which are the matching centers for the F2 and 3 have just about the same freq responce. It may not be a perfect match up to the RC 52, but it will definitely work[Y] http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rc-52.aspx http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/c-3.aspx
CECAA850
Welcome to the forum!! The general rule of thumb is to stick with the same series of speakers. Reference and Synergy will work together but won't work near as well as all Reference or all Synergy. Ideally you want the front 3 speakers to have the same tweeters (and in some cases mids) to blend together.
jacoviii
ok well i went to BB and they had a set of S1 new in box for $200 so i got them for the surround of my 5.1 so that will leave me some extra $$ for the RF?? what rf should i get the room is 18ft x 26ft vaulted ceiling 11ft
jamesV
As already stated that you want to stay with the Reference line of speakers and the one that timber matches the RC-52 that you already have is the RF-52. Here is a link, http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rf-52.aspx, it shows that the RC-52 is the matching center speaker. Also, Welcome to the forum. tommyboy
As James said; it's not a good idea to mix and match Synergy's with Reference. If you want to save some money and still have good sound, sell your center and get an all synergy system. But if you don't need to save the money, and want to have GREAT sound, get an all reference system.........
tommyboy
but, if you think it sounds good as is, then by all means, roll with it. Look at it like this; its your system; in your house. If you like how it sounds, then who cares what anyone else thinks, right???
jacoviii
i thought the 3 fronts were the most importent to be timber matched and it would be ok to use lesser rear surround speakers but if i just shot myself in the foot i will take them back
tommyboy
I would recommend having all your speakers timbre matched. It is ok to go with lesser surrounds (look at my system), but I'd keep them within the same line though.

You might have to up the back channel to match the front three but it should be fine. So when does the front main speaker arrive?
