Chicago_Pete
This could be a fun thread and have some longevity if we keep it to one statement per post. Or it could die in a day:( Guess Ill start, I honestly cannot tell the difference between my $200 speaker cables and lamp cord.
Cut-Throat
I honestly cannot tell the difference between my $200 speaker cables and lamp cord. I agree. And what I learned - Is that you have to spend a lot of money in this hobby to learn that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get good sound! Cut-Throat
You must have some darn fine lamp cord! Yup, I'll bet that it's 100% stranded copper wire - A helluva conductor!
Chicago_Pete
I learned that these $60 PolyCrystal cones would have a more dramatic effect launched from a slingshot than under my Jolida CD player.

sheltie dave
It is better to wait twice as long and pay half as much as it is to rush and pay twice as much for half of what you want.

Audio Flynn
Agree with the speaker cable comment but I still use pedestraian low cost Audio Quest. Wine corks are good enough under low mass components for vibration control. HT frustrates me for music. Old crossover capacitors suck the realism out of great speakers. jacksonbart
Don't judge anything by it's looks, good or bad , because you may be surprised in the end !
