bhendrix
Michael, Did you spill diet Rock Star in one of the master sliders???[]
colterphoto1
Right output is very low and noisy. It happens when using the L/R to mains, and sub to mains. It even happens when using one of the sub mix outputs, which seems strange. Yes I've done the complete cable swap one at a time and eliminated eq and amps as cause. It's definitely in the board. As a final check, the SUM mono output (very convenient) exhibits some of the noise but not as bad as the R main out. So I don't think it's any slider gathering dust. I try to keep it covered in the shop at all times, especially when sawing. I don't think we ever figured it out before. For a while it was intermittent, then I thought an amp channel was out. This time I'm sure it's in the Mackie. Just like me, get an indestructible piece of gear and it fails with hardly any use at all.....[8o|] Any more troubleshooting or is it off to the shop? Don Richard
no cigarettes, but bic and incense for 'annoiting' the stage. Johnny from Sweet F.A. used to have me do this Sweet F.A.... man, that goes way back. I remember them from the late '80s, great band with a very energetic singer (Dave?). Did you tour with them back then?
colterphoto1
I worked with Johnny Lightning for a while after FA broke up. Played a club downtown with a Klipsch MCM stack one time and I ran everybody out of the room with volume! Back then I was lighting tech for Speed City Rockers, we used to be house band at Champions and Starting Line Lounge in Speedway. I'd set up about 60,000 watts of lighting cause we'd be there all month! Used to blow the roof off the places. Sweet F.A's singer was Steven David DeLong. His father is the guy who got injured by the 'Speedway Bomber' Brett Kimberlin. One of my best friends was Tricky Lane's drum tech at the time and later worked with Jason Bonham. The guys got together for a reunion show last year at the Patio in Broad Ripple, it was a blast. Michael
Don Richard
Cool, Michael.[Y] I saw them several times in New Orleans back in the 80s. Stick To Your Guns remains one of my favorite rock albums to this day.
