Freedo
I was wondering if it was posible to upgrade the RF-82. There seems to be a section at the bottom that you can change and put another speaker.... Maybe i'm wrong. Thanks
jamesV
There seems to be a section at the bottom that you can change and put another speaker.... I don't understand what you mean???? The RF-82 are the new line of speakers, what are you looking to change about them? James
Rdmarsiii
The only things I could think of is to recap the crossovers and possible dynamat the inside of the enclosures. Other than that I think you're sort of out of luck.
BuyOtherSoundEquipment
I have the RF-82s and I suppose I see the part you are talking about where you can "add" a speaker. I'm not sure what you're thinking of adding though. I wouldn't recommend modifying the speaker physically in any way. There's a 99.999% chance you'll only degrade the sound quality, and you'd also void your warranty. It has also been said that the RF-82 has the "flatest" frequency response of all the Reference line, so it is unlikely that you could help it by yourself, anyway. What sort of sources and amplification are you using?

Freedo
I'm running a Marantz SR8500, I have bi-amped my RF-82. It was only a thought that maybe Klipsch would have some kind on upgrade.
BuyOtherSoundEquipment
That looks like a nice receiver, and I would assume it sounds very nice. Most people go the route of external amplifier when they seek more detail or "horsepower" for home theater. Klipsch does offer an upgrade to the RF-82, it takes the form of another speaker.
