load on amp

Recommended Posts

what if i use the pre out for center and use another amp?

As
far as getting both speakers to make sound, running both speakers in
parallel should be just fine and represent a 4ohm nominal load to the
amplifiers. As far as I know, there's no insanely low impedance dips
with either speaker in question (but no guarantees).

However,
getting both speakers to play center channel information at the same
time isn't the only issue being brought up here. There are a lot of
reasons why this can decrease the sound quality....even moreso when
using two totally different speakers.

Are you trying to get more output? more coverage? balanced sound stage? something other than the typical reasons above?
