Hypoxia
What are the considerations of placing my RF-7 speakers 30" above the floor? They are in a Great Room and raising them would get them above the furniture. When I watch movies or listen to audio I am normally about 18' from them. There is an RC-64 in the middle. Bill H.
EDIT: Looking the the Picture. 1. You could build a platform like was suggested or 2. Split the room by turning the closest couch towards the listening are. 3. Then turn the rear area as a play/game/bar/ Family area for reading...........JMHO Multifunctional............... Hypoxia
1. It won't fall on anyone, I promise. 2. Does bass require the floor nearby? I know some folks put their sub on a sand filled pedistol. 3. Even with a big stuffed chair in front of it? Sure sounds better without the chair, of course that isn't an option [:'(]
SWL
Can you post a pic or a drawing of the layout of your room? I don't see why building a platform for them to sit on would degrade their performance.

rockbobmel
Why can't you move the system 90* to the left so the RF7s are on the 21' wall. Move the big couch to the opposite side. The Paradigms would me where one of them is now and where the right 7 is. You could get a single center back on that short wall. 20 feet is a long shot to the TV. I'm a bachelor so I get to set the system up for Theater/music before anything else.
