colterphoto1
Here is my RC7- see the 8 screws around the horn? It detaches from the front panel of the speaker. Some guys use this feature to use the RC7 in upright position for surround speakers, in which case they would modify the horn by rotating it so that the 90 degree wide dispersion is in the horizontal plane. rogerwilco82
Refering to Klipsch, both, the RF-82 and the RF-63 uses a "90x60 square Tractrix® Horn" Isn't that true?
colterphoto1
that is marketing term for the shape of the horn. That by no means indicates that they are the same assembly indeed I have proven that they are not. The throat opening is also different. or just order whatever you want and do what you want, they're your speakers. I'm just trying to help. Yes both speakers horns are 90x60 degrees but may not have the same dimensions. The outer horn in my RF-63's is 6 1/8 inches while the RC-62's outer horn is 5 7/8 inches. That would make them seem impossible to exchange out. Bill
wildlaurel
I was wondering if anyone ever tried the RF-83's compression drivers with RF-82's?
