The price sheet I have is about three years out of date, it has them at MSRP $275 each.I modified a K400 to use a JBL 2328 throat adaptor, that way they fit in the stock furniture.The CLS SH494 is nice, but the mouth is tall(24 X 17).They sound good on the old CLS BRH90 (think Altec 311-90) or the JBL 2350.A friend even tried them on a pair of JBL 2397.

Actually, it is a fair amount of fooling around. Cut off the K400 with a die grinder where the height is 1-3/8", make a flange with a 1-3/8" X 4" opening and fiberglass onto the horn. Rough up the 2328 adaptor and add about 1/8" bondo to the 4-1/8" exit, contour to match the 4" entry on the K400. Paint up real nice. The CLS M200 is the same dB/Volt as the K55V, but it is lower impedance. I think the K55 is too loud anyway. If you add a 5R resistor in series with the M200 and a 2µF cap in parallel with the 13µF cap in the AA network, it all comes together pretty well. The tweeter crossover must be changed to a 3.9Khz Butterworth, 3.3µF + .25mH + 10µF and add a 33R 2W resistor in parallel with the tweeter. Across the M200 I wire a trap of 6.8µF + 88µH in series with half of an L-pad, terminals 2&3. I adjust the L-pad while listening to noise and then replace with a fixed resistor. This kills the 6.5Khz peak in the M200. Kind of a reverse P trap. The 5R resistor and the autoformer keep the impedance from going too low. This may seem like a lot of work, but several friends have thought it worth the effort.
