Guest " " Posted March 4, 2009 Share Posted March 4, 2009 long and narrow tweeters are fine forbudget two ways systems that need to operate point on......but the problem is that they won't have a wide horizontal pattern....you need at least 90 degrees...these things look like they have a 45 - 60 degree pattern. Those have no real 'pattern', they are just like the Klipsch heritage horns in that respect. If you mount them with the long axis vertical they will have over 90° horizontal dispersion through most of their range. Those are essentially what Frazier used in some of their smaller models, they start to wander off above 10Khz or so. They would work fine for a small 8" or 10" two-way.
