joshnich
I tivoed all of these shows and have been watching them when at my leisure. What a great show. For those of you not aware of this show it's on The Sundance Channel and takes place I believe at the apollo theater in NY. It is Elvis and musical guests. It starts with Elvis playing with a great band covering one of the upcoming guests songs. He then sits down for a one on one interview. The guest typically plays a couple songs and Elvis asks more questions and the show ends with them typically playing together. I have a renewed appreciation for Elvis after watching this show. He has incredible knowledge about all types of music and his questions are top notch. Great music as well. The guests have included, Elton John (great show BTW) Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson , Herbie Hancock, An Opera singer I cannot remember, John Mellencamp, Diana Krall, Rufus Wainright, and others. I believe the season is over but knowing cable they will continue running them. Its worth watching - lots of incredible insight and information on what inspires these songwriters and performers. jdm56
I'm a huge Elvis Costello fan. I don't get Sundance channel, but I'll be watching for the programs wherever I can find them. Thanks for the heads-up!
Dflip
I'm glad he had enough sense to interview his wife, Diana Krall. I loved his first album and have always loved, Sneaky Feelings.

MagicMtnDan
One of my all-time favorite songs is one of Elvis': (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes Oh I used to be disgusted, and now I try to be amused. But since their wings have gotten rusted, you know, the angels wanna wear my red shoes. But when they told me 'bout their side of the bargain, that's when I knew that I could not refuse. And I won't get any older, now the angels wanna wear my red shoes. Oh, I was watching while you're dancing away Our love got fractured in the echo and sway. How come everybody wants to be your friend? You know that it still hurts me just to say it. Oh, I know that she's disgusted (oh why's that) Cause she's feeling so abused. (oh that's too bad) She gets tired of the lust, (oh I'm so sad) but it's so hard to refuse. How can you say that I'm too old, when the angels have stolen my red shoes. Oh, I said "I'm so happy, I could die." She said "Drop dead," then left with another guy. That's what you get if you go chasing after vengeance. Ever since you got me punctured this has been my sentence. Oh I used to be disgusted, and now I try to be amused. But since their wings have got rusted, you know, the angels wanna wear my red shoes. But when they told me 'bout their side of the bargain, that's when I knew that I could not refuse. And I won't get any older, now the angels wanna wear my red shoes. Red shoes, the angels want to wear my red shoes Red shoes, the angels want to wear my red shoes
