vegaschuck Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I was over at my buddys house the other day and he has a piece of glass or pexiglass under his subwoofer on top of the carpet and said it bounses the bass off better. Is this true or don't it matter. Thanks Quote
nezff Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 maybe, but why in the world would you want to? Quote

liebherr954 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Like Tommyboy I put a piece of 1" MDF under my Sub-12, I find it hits harder now. I have laminate flooring in the basement and it sounded like crap. I will try the spikes (or feet) and see if they make a differance. Quote
tommyboy Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I have hardwood floors now, so it's no longer an issue.......... Quote
colterphoto1 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 plexi will bounce the 'treble' portion of the bass better I suppose. The fact is that the thickness or normal carpet and pad has practically no effect on the LF notes the subwoofer is producing. oooo, I know put a mirror under there so you can see the sub bouncing. Bounce little sub bounce. I put my subs out of sight. They should be heard not seen. M Quote
DU73 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I put my subs out of sight. They should be heard not seen. very true, but how do you hide a sub [] Quote
