nezff thanks, After I posted my question I came across a question about sub being on hard wood floor and someone said you may want to put a piece of carpet under it. I didn't know if my buddy new what he was talking about so I found this forum and new someone here would know. Thank again for your help.

Like Tommyboy I put a piece of 1" MDF under my Sub-12, I find it hits harder now. I have laminate flooring in the basement and it sounded like crap. I will try the spikes (or feet) and see if they make a differance.

plexi will bounce the 'treble' portion of the bass better I suppose. The fact is that the thickness or normal carpet and pad has practically no effect on the LF notes the subwoofer is producing.

oooo, I know put a mirror under there so you can see the sub bouncing. Bounce little sub bounce.

I put my subs out of sight. They should be heard not seen.
