And TV isn't really our thing, so it's only a 55 inch.

The woofers in the La Scalas are disconnected and the MWMs hooked up. Bass is crazy tight and clean.

Well, DUH. Having Four Six foot long horns, doing all the bass to 40 Hz. is what makes life wonderful compared to LaScalas of any Mod or Year.

I already told you... that's why I didn't finish the bass mod. However, the LS are going to my older son in a couple of weeks. He will probably finish it. He actually has a woodshop and tools.

Sounds like a good plan.

sorry ... a question ... is it advisable / necessary to insert sound-absorbing material in the bass reflex cabinet?

Based on my speaker building experience

Minimal and targeted application may be needed

For the bass cabinet build that started in this thread the bass cabinets were lined fully

After I acquired the speakers from @sootshe I made some alterations to the insulation

The only sections that are now insulated are the - sides, back and ceiling area with the bottom and front left bare

The issue is - how much bass you want

More insulation will subdue bass

You chose no insulation

I chose the middle ground of not to much and not to little

And congratulations on the finished build
