neo33
LOL! Sorry, I wasn't fully awake when I made that post after a routine nap []. From the time I sent my D50 to Nikon for service until I got it back was almost 9 months. I figured that the only way it could take that long is if they had shipped it to one of their shops located on an off-world colony. It was an attempt at humor... Forgive me... I'll know better next time...

greg928gts
Yeah, I like everything you did with your La Scalas. The veneer looks great, I like the edge treatment to the midrange horn opening, the grills are more contemporary, the proportions look good, I like the trim, the finish, the flexibility for future mods, etc... Just a great job overall. I agree, it's hard to describe Mike's Khorns. I busted my back moving them in and out of my living room trying to figure out what exactly was sounding better than mine! I finally figured it out, but it took a while. Truly amazing speakers - the best I've done so far. Greg

jhoak
Is that a drop down screen above the TV? Herb As a matter of fact it is. A Da-Lite 92" 16X9 in matte white. Here's a picture of it deployed: On the other side of the room is the Hitachi PJ-TX100 Someday soon I'll spring for a 1080p projector. deafbykhorns
Outstanding job!!! You have set the benchmark for refurbished LaScala's. Thanks for the idea on the screen, very nice touch, this will be implemented in my next HT upgrade.
laager
Yea... I'm pretty familiar with that reference... Check out the left side poster... Hmm. I also have a Director's Cut poster framed. However, mine is a silver background and I had it installed in a frame with a double mat. Interestingly, the framer had it sitting in his showroom waiting for me to pick it up and said whilst it was there some customers saw it and offered an insane amount of money for it. BE36
Jhoak, Great Job! What are dimensions of the tops? They look a little taller then stock, WAF is driving me make some Tops with Fastracs & JBL2404s that have similiar dimensions to these. jhoak
THANX! The tops are 24.75" wide by 12.75" tall by 24" deep. They have a .75" board between the bass bin and the top. They are a bit taller than one piece La Scalas at 39.5" tall overall. Jeff
BE36
Cool, I think I can be within an 1 or less of 12 3/4 and if they look half is good as yours it would be great!
