Greetings,

Hoping someone can help. I have a McIntosh MC2200 which supports "pass thru for home theater". I want to integrate HT into the 2-channel set up if possible. Searching on forums and the MC website, I still dont understand how the set-up works. Can I use a surround reciever and just run it thru the MC pre for the rears and the center channels?

Thanks in advance -

If it works similar to my Peach....

Your amps that power your speakers will not change. What happens in the Peach is the HT input is rounted from the "HT input" DIRECTLY to the output and does NOT pass through the volume knob or anything.... the Peach does not affect the signal at all, the control comes from the HT unit.

By doing it this way, the Peach totally steps out of the way when you are in HT mode, allowing the HT unit to control the amps (that are indeed, connected to the Peach). When you take it out of HT mode, you are putting the Peach back into control of the sound.

It's kind of like a Twilight Zone moment.
