irishhitman
I built my dedicated theater 6 years ago and I have struggled with a stand for my RC-7 and never quite found the one that would work for my needs and taste. Fast forward to 10 days ago and I developed a concept purchased the materials and went to work creating the new stand. My particular setup required the stand to be 27" in height so I decided to go with a top plate of 27" x 14" with a base of 32" W x 20" D. Two 8 foot 2 x 4's, two 6 foot 1x4's for the trim,1 x 12's for the pedestal and a 24"x48" furniture grade plywood cut to size for the bottom deck, wood screws, finishing nails, primer and paint all from Lowes Home Improvement. With the beefy way I built this stand I believe I could park my Jeep on this stand so it does a fine job of holding the RC.I altered the photo over to Black and White to show greater detail. I am not a carpenter by trade as you can tell but I do have just enough knowledge and power tools to be dangerous.
v3spitfire
That is very cool. I too struggle with the RC7 - currently angled upward almost from the floor. I need to hang it, I think. Very nice indeed.
