S2000
What is the best way to mount a Hersey as a center channel? Upside down? On it's side? I am going to use it for my center for my Forte II's

Malcolm
Sideways might be better for home theater. It will be more directional. But I would recommend trying sideways, right side up and up side down and seeing what sounds best to you. If you use an earlier Heresy with all AlNiCo magnets, you probably won't have a problem with stray magnetic fields affecting the picture. If you use a later one, you may need to choose the orientation of the speaker based on how it affects the picture. You may want to keep the woofer as far from the screen as possible. You may need to add bucking magnets.
Steve Phillips
Before we got our K-Horns we used our Heresy with Forte I's.Had it on it's side, then upside down. Can't remember much of a difference.Upside down gets the tweeter closer to the highs, mids line. Was a good match, tonaly, with the Forte.
Shiplemw1
Nice looking system stevep, May I ask a question though? The units sitting on either side of your center channel, I'm pretty positive thsoe are your denon amps right? just asking and are the surrounds in front of your seating position? Does that affect sound at all?

Steve Phillips
Yep,those are the POA-2800's.They just do get warm in the open and I had thought about putting them in the cabinets, but I'm out of room, unless I move all my videos.Hate to have that stuff in an enclosed place. The Carver sub amp doesn't even get warm and it's in the bottom of one of the cabinets. The S6's are about 20"(center of the S6's)in front of ear position.Doesn't seam to have an affect. We are thinking of closing in the opening to the dining room and I might move them back.
