Moderators dtel's wife Posted February 17, 2010 Author Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2010 A friend of mine had a 45 player for his car when I was in high school. It mounted upside down under the dash. The 45 locked on the spindle, in much the same way as CDs do in a lot of those really thin laptop drives. The tonearm was balanced enough to have the arm go UP against the grooves. With too large a bump, it fell away from the record. Go figure....what kind of genius would dream up installing that kind of component upside down....let along installing in a vehicle at all....oh, I forgot...it's one of those "engineering marvels".[:^)] Marvel....no pun intended in that statement![]
