InVeNtOr Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 okay, i have a small problem. i am helping my buddy set up a new HT. i posted on here and asked about a 7.1 receiver. the suggestion was a Marantz SR4003. he purchased it. it has a small problem, for some reason it will not pass video from a PS3. another issue, the TV he has is a Samsung hln617wx/xaa. i can't find any web pages with specs, i can only find links to help fix lamps and problems with it. the issue is, it doesn't have any HDMI inputs and only 1 DVI. you would think he would have told me that, but he didn't and i didn't ask. so i think the only solution is to get a switching unit. i however know nothing of those or good prices. is there a switcher out there that will work for him? i guess everything would have to plug into the switcher and then there would have to be a dvi cable going out to the tv. need help on this one, i think he jumped in and i didn't have time to catch him. InVeNtOr Posted March 27, 2010 Author Share Posted March 27, 2010 thats what he is looking at now. i called him and asked him if he wanted to do it the cheap dinky way or go all out. he chose all out. he's also getting a logitech remote, hasn't decided on one yet. it's almost a hokie set up, but he doesn't want to replace the tv, doesn't want to send the marantz back, and is too impatient to wait for any other option the web site may offer. anyways, thanks for all the help.
