winchester21
I moved some stuff around- and now neither of my 2 TTs (Thorens TD 125- yamaha PX2) will reach the phono pre jacks. is is Ok to use an extended male /female RCA jack to the phono pre or do I need to change to re- connected longer leads on the TTs? What do you think? Thanks in advance- Comments appreciated.
tube fanatic
Using the extension cables is fine (I am assuming that you're only talking about a few feet) and should not affect the sound at all.
Cal Blacksmith
I disagree, you need UBER wire interconnects for a phono level signal, the signal is so faint that even the slightest resistance will kill the signal. Just kidding, you should be fine with extensions. Then again, if you need a reason to buy new cables.........[]
Dennie
Short extensions should not be a problem. Rock on!!! [] Dennie
Boxx
I have used extensions in the past with no problems. What about your ground wire? Any changes with it?
